Heartbreak! Obama Not Enough to Sustain Hollywood Lovefest

Sing it…. “I’d like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony, I feel Obama in the air he makes us all friendly, he’s the real thing” …. OK, maybe that wonderful sentiment can’t last. But, as Andrew Breitbart reports, this emotional high has only lasted the Obamagassed Ashton Kutcher a mere 10 days. 10 measly days was all the love-your-neighbor that Mr. Demi Moore could take.
Not long ago, Kutcher was involved in a video of sycophantic Obamaists from Hollyweird where he “pledged” his fealty to a politician. He also pledged to be a more civil fellow saying that he would “always represent my country with pride, dignity and honesty.” I’d suggest that this young man should go look some of those words up in a dictionary somewhere because with the uncivil tirade he spewed out against his neighbor for early morning construction noise Ashie was being neither neighborly nor dignified.
Brietbart recounts the part of the saccharine “I Pledge” video where some of Kutcher’s supposedly famous pals said that they would reach out to their neighbors to be more friendly.
Ioan Gruffudd: “to meet my neighbors”…
Rex Lee: “Find out their names”…
Cameron Diaz: “I am gonna give ‘em a smile”…
Tatyana Ali: “And ask them how I can be of service to them”…
Yet, Kutcher only got 10 days into his new Obamitude before he reverted right back to typically petulant, Hollywood diva mode when his next-door neighbor began construction on his home at 7:30 AM. Guess our boy Ashie isn’t a mornin’ guy, huh?
Kutcher not only made an obscenity laced video to complain about his neighbor (as seen on the Tabloid site TMZ) but he twitted his displeasure on his computer.
“this SOB owl feces cougar placenta jack bone dick!”
“Jack ass 7am building a goddamn fort next to my house f’in up my view and noise polluting the entire f’in neighborhood with pounding steal”
“holy moly I’m gonna lose it!”
“this ass clown has another thing coming!”
“I’m gonna kill my neighbor”
So much for loving your neighbor.
I watched the “I pledge” video and it is four or so minutes of my life I’ll never be able to get back. But, I have to admit that the thing almost made me want to make a pledge, myself. I almost wanted to pledge to find out who half of these so-called famous people were in the video. But, on second thought, I realized I just don’t give a hoot about even the ones I did know.
I also noted a sad thing. It was sad that a mere politician could elicit such mindless fealty. Sad and also somewhat disturbing. For instance, the schlocky “I Pledge” video ends with this: “I pledge to be a servant to our president…” Really? A servant to Obama? I mean, wow…. just wow. What sort of American bows and scrapes to a mere politician so? This is the sort of worship that religious figures and monarchs receive, but not what should be showered on an American politician. In fact, it’s downright unAmerican to act so gobsmacked by a mere politician!
Anyhoo, it’s nice that ol’ Ashie can get some publicity, I guess. He seems to be the male Paris Hilton, pretty-ish, but famous for being famous. Still, he’s young yet. Maybe someday he’ll make a good movie? He’s got time… as long as he doesn’t keep attacking his neighbors on TV and the computer, that is! That could invite an unpleasant incident that might end badly. We need another Obamitude adjustment here.
Where’s the love, man?
