Obama Has ‘Expiration Date’ For His Religion, Too?

After spending three years running away from his past, Barack Hussein Obama is now nominally a Muslim again. At least that is the message that ABC’s Jake Tapper has discovered in the new, new way in which the Obama administration is presenting the president’s connections to Islam and his religious upbringing and heritage. Suddenly it’s A’OK to say that Obama has “experienced Islam” and remark about his “Muslim father” again. Rah, rah for Islam.

It has been said that everything that Barack Obama says has an “expiration date,” because it isn’t long after he promises something or makes allusion to some policy direction that he chucks the idea under the bus and drives head-long on to the next “promise” to earnestly offer the American people. And it isn’t just his centrist positions he later conveniently reverses himself on, either, as several of his more extremist liberal ideas have gone under the tram, too — much to the chagrin of many lefties that voted for him.

There is also the squirrelly rhetoric, the weasel words that could mean this or that, the veritable definition of what “is,” is that we’ve so often seen with this man. His nuclear power stance is a prime example. He postures as a man interested in moving cautiously forward with new nuclear power in the U.S. but then vetoes every idea that comes down the pike effectively and in actuality eliminating the possibility of any new nuclear power projects. But he seems nominally for it by his rhetoric. It’s a dissembling that amounts to clear deception when the final record is examined.

Another example of this talking out of both sides of the mouth popular with this White House was caught over at Politico. There we are reminded that not many weeks ago Barack Obama was trying to make a big deal out of the $100 million in budget cuts he made. We were told it was significant despite that it was a drop in the bucket compared to the $1.3 Trillion deficit.

Well this week came Joe Biden, the gaffematic-in-waiting, telling a stimulus roundtable in New York that the Small Business Administration has awarded a teeny, tiny bit of money in loans in the first hundred days since Obama signed the bill. It’s a nothing, a mere pittance, says Biden. It’s $600 million… which is six times bigger than the “significant” amount that Obama claimed he was cutting from the budget only weeks ago.

So according to Obama $100 million is a hefty sum but Biden says $600 million is “not a lot of money.” Make up my mind, boys.

And you might recall that candidate Obama was adamant that finding Osamma bin Laden was going to be a top-of-the-list priority for an Obama administration. Does anyone out there recall the last time that topic was brought up?

It is truly hard to find anything that Obama has not walked back from, or walked all over since he started running for president in 2004. And he had the gall to call Bill Clinton a “bald-faced liar“!

So, now back to Obama’s Muslim roots. We find Obama re-embracing “his Father’s religion,” as Tapper has pointed out in “The Emergence of President Obama’s Muslim Roots.”

Tapper recalls for us the near outrage that Obama and his campaign indulged in as people began to pass the rumor that he was a closet Muslim. Then Obama put up a “Fight the Smears” webpage that forcefully denied Obama had any real connection to Islam and strongly reiterated his Christian beliefs.

But that was then. Now there is a “new” tune being played from the White House and it sounds like it is being played on an Oud*.

During a conference call in preparation for President Obama’s trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said “the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to — or before he’s been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world — you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father — obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago.”

Now it’s OK to equate Barack Obama with his “Muslim roots” again? What happened to the feigned outrage when people did this only months ago? Does it now not matter to him if his true cultural connections are discussed merely because “I won”? Have we just discovered that his much celebrated staunch Christian beliefs have an expiration date?

That last isn’t too hard to believe, anyway. After all, he’s pretty much ceased attending church since he was elected, so it is plain that his attendance at a Christian church was a means to election as opposed to an expression of faith. Not that he is any more devoted to Islam, mind you. It seems far more likely that he is a man of no real religious convictions truth be told.

Whatever the case, we are seeing more everyday that this White House will say anything at all at any time regardless of how it contradicts claims and statements of only days, sometimes hours ago.

Asalam Alakum to you my friend Barack. Thanks for stopping by.
