DNA in Your Body Would Reach to the Sun and Back–70 Times!

Dr. James A. Shapiro, bacterial geneticist at the University of Chicago, and one of the leading researchers in his field said, “A cell under stress will splice its own DNA into over 100,000 pieces. Then a program senses hundreds of variables in its environment and then re-arranges those pieces to produce a new, better, evolved cell.” Please read that again. Absolutely astounding! Moreover, all that happened by accident; however, only a closed-minded fool or dedicated follower of the religion of evolution believes such balderdash.

All scientists admit that DNA is an informational code. It would have to be in order to accomplish what it does. However, creationists insist on knowing where the information came from. How does the DNA know to do the above? Professor Richard Dawkins did a television interview where he was asked about how information originated and he looked to his upper right then to his upper left, licked his lips, then looked at the camera, then to the interviewer and by this time even I was feeling sorry for his discomfort. Here was the number one atheist in the world without an answer for eleven loooong seconds. Finally, he told them to turn off the camera then after an unknown period of time, he came up with an irrelevant answer to give the impression to the stupid that he had given an answer to the question. If that had happened to me, I would be ashamed to show my face in public again. I sure would not go back on television. All he had to say was that God had placed all necessary information in our DNA. So pathetic.

Each adult human body has 6.5 feet lengths of DNA strand in each cell and if all your DNA could be bunched up, it would fit into a cube about the size of an ice cube. Then if all the strands in a human body could be strung together, it would stretch from earth to the Sun and back—70 times! Yes, I double checked it. (“Length of a Human DNA Molecule,” The Physics Factbook, Edited by Glenn Elert.)

Please remember that the mean distance from earth to the Sun is 93,000,000 miles. Those DNA strands are composed of information about your body and it all happened by chance?

When God-hating evolutionists dig up a crude tool in a strata, they assume it was made by intelligent life and if we were to receive radio signals from outer space we would assume they came from intelligent life but atheists refuse to recognize the intelligent information in DNA came from a Designer! DNA is a codebook and all books have an Author. However, atheists still assert, affirm, and argue that God had no part in creation. Simply an accident, but intelligent information cannot happen by accident. DNA and the whole universe scream design but that is anathema if one is trying to hide from the Designer!

Author Perry Marshall affirmed, “1) DNA is not merely a molecule with a pattern; it is a code, a language, and an information storage mechanism. 2) All codes are created by a conscious mind; there is no natural process known to science that creates coded information. 3) Therefore DNA was designed by a mind.” Marshall added, “Information Theory and DNA deal a crushing blow to Atheism, because the laws of physics and chemistry do not account for the existence of information.” Marshall is right on target.

Intelligent Design simply teaches that there are so many things such as the human eye that are so complex that they had to work at the very beginning of their “evolution” or they would be totally useless. Of course, Design is a good argument that some of us have been making for many years although not as eloquently as the new crop of anti-evolutionists. My local paper, the Chattanooga Times Free Press, had a cogent comment on the Free Press conservative editorial page suggesting, “Frankly, it seems that ‘intelligent design’ is a public relations cop-out to avoid a head-on collision with those who deny that ‘In the beginning God created….’ ”

Intelligent Design is a cop-out for believers just as the gap theory, day-age theory, theistic evolution, and progressive evolution are. However, ID is at least a step in the right direction because scientists are acknowledging reality. The Free Press was suggesting that ID is really a capitulation to “scholarship,” “academia,” and “most scientists believe.” Intelligent Design is taught by some men who do not believe in the God of the Bible, and are fearful that anyone might think they believe in a resurrected Christ, an authoritative Book to give direction to one’s life, or information as to man’s origin. ID is a deistic philosophy that assumes design because it is “reasonable” not because of revelation.

Unbelieving evolutionists cannot accept ID because allowing any supernaturalism gives God an opportunity for His involvement in the creation and in their personal lives. World-renowned evolutionary biologist Richard Lewontin wrote: “Our willingness to accept scientific claims that are against common sense is the key to an understanding of the real struggle between science and the supernatural. We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism. It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.” (Emphasis added.)

Well, well, an honest evolutionist! But, no design, no sir! They know if God gets His “foot in the door,” He will hold them accountable for their personal sins, decisions, and beliefs.
