We are all set up and waiting for Right Nation 2010 festivities to begin. Tonight we will hear from Andrew Breitbart, Glenn Beck and others and I am hopeful that the evening will be an energetic experience.
In the meantime, I am set up at blogger’s row along with some fine local Illinois conservative bloggers. If you want a great single web page to go to for links to all sorts of wonderful Illinois bloggers and conservative resources, visit www.publiusforum.com/illini/illinialliance_main.html.
Bloggers in attendance today include (in no particular order) Bill Barr of Bill Barr’s West Side, Paul Mitchell of Thoughts of a Regular Guy, Tom Mannis of ChicagoNewsBench, Nancy J. Thorner, pro-life blogger Jill Stanek, Kathy Michael of McClean County Pundit, and David Dierson of GOPUSA. I’ll try and get a full list later.
Naturally there were already protesters mad that we conservatives are here in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Just as naturally they were bussed in en masse. Disgustingly they were bussed in on buses that seem to normally belong to the Chicago Public Schools as we could see the Chicago PS tags in the back windows.
Fortunately WE had Andrew Breitbart here to confront these astroturfed “protesters.”
Meanwhile inside some 3,000 people are making ready to see the show which will feature our host Cisco Cotto of WLS AM89 in Chicago. (See below for update on attendance)
More as we go…
As the night wore on, more appeared. My 3,000 attending note above was written an hour before the show started. The final attendance was reported by officials as 5,416.

He has been writing opinion editorials and social criticism since early 2001 and before that he wrote articles on U.S. history for several small American magazines. His political columns are featured on many websites such as Andrew Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com, BigHollywood.com, and BigJournalism.com, as well as RightWingNews.com, CanadaFreePress.com, StoptheACLU.com, AmericanDaily.com, among many, many others. Mr. Huston is also endlessly amused that one of his articles formed the basis of an article in Germany’s Der Spiegel Magazine in 2008.
