From Dan Proft…
Those on the receiving end of the tea party movement this election cycle are hopeful it is but a fleeting temper tantrum.
However, as President Obama learned, hope may be a campaign slogan but it is not a strategy.
In fact, there are at least four reasons why the tea party movement will have a positive, lasting and transformative impact on our politics.
First, the tea party has accomplished something the Republican Party has always struggled to do which is to unite social and economic conservatives around common enemies and a common agenda.

(Palatine, Illinois) – Representative Melissa Bean (D) Illinois 8th district opposes tax increases, but is against Bush tax cuts if she were elected to Congress. Here is what she said when she ran against Crane.
Bean said, “Crane has argued he did his part to foster job growth by supporting President Bush’s two tax cuts. Bean said she would have voted against those tax cuts because they did not provide enough tax incentives for small businesses to create new jobs.”1
Bean also said, “I oppose raising personal income tax rates…”2

You’ve probably heard that joke concerning what’s actually happening when Bill Clinton’s lips are moving, but sometimes the truth does manage to negotiate his tongue. And his recent trip to Minnesota to campaign for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton might just be one of these instances — well, sort of.
While speaking at a fund-raising event for Dayton, Clinton played the tired old leftist game of trying to paint his opposition as radical, saying that the Republicans are placing ideology over evidence (as opposed, I guess, to placing ideology over the good of your country). Most interestingly, though, he also invoked the name of that terrible bogeyman, George W. Bush, saying, “A lot of their [the Republicans’] candidates today, they make him look like a liberal.”

Sec. of Education Duncan Pledges to Turn Kids Into ‘Good Environmental Citizens’

Obama’s Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, pledged to turn America’s school children into good enviro zombies at an appearance at a Virginia high school earlier in the month and he intends to use federal funds to do it.
CNSNews reports:
“Right now, in the second decade of the 21st century, preparing our children to be good environmental citizens is some of the most important work any of us can do. It’s work that will serve future generations–and quite literally sustain our world,” Duncan said at the Education Department’s “Sustainability Education Summit: Citizenship and Pathways for a Green Economy.”
“This week’s sustainability summit represents the first time that the Department is taking a taking a leadership role in the work of educating the next generation of green citizens and preparing them to contribute to the workforce through green jobs,” said Duncan. “President Obama has made clean, renewable energy a priority because, as he says, it’s the best way to ‘truly transform our economy, to protect our security, and save our planet.”
Duncan says that this enviro indoctrination effort, the “Blueprint for Reform,” will be funded by $265 million allocated by Obama for his 2011 budget.

Where’s Michelle “the Green Witch” Obama when you need her? She might have been able to save a man in Dekalb County, Georgia from being sued by his own county for growing too many vegetables in his garden.
That’s right, you heard me: sued by the government for growing too many veggies.
Steve Miller plants two acres of crops each year and sells some at farmer’s markets and gives the rest away free to local residents.
How do county officials justify this harassment? Officials claim that Miller is in violation of zoning laws and has “unpermitted employees” on his property.

Apparently one of my articles was turned into one of those widely distributed email chain letters and it was so widely emailed to and fro that the fact checker websites took up the issue.
The article that was being emailed was mine titled, “Obama Orders Army NOT To Fly U.S. Flag in Haiti.” In this one I reported that the Obama administration ordered the U.S. military not to fly the U.S. flag during its relief work in earthquake-ravaged Haiti in early 2010.
So why did the Obama administration forbid flying our own flag in Haiti?

Obama to Dumb Down Car Ratings Stickers

Earlier this month the Obama administration floated a trial balloon about changing the way vehicle information stickers on new cars would be structured. The administration floated the idea of letter grades instead of the more full information that vehicle stickers now contain. The most fuel-efficient would get and “A” rating with less green cars having descending grades.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the letter grades would be used to rate compliance with reen policies. Electric vehicles would be the only ones to get the “A” rating with gas-powered cars getting lesser grades.
On the website of Edmunds.com, a consumer advocate outlet, the response to the letter grading idea was swift and negative. One point made on the site is particularly poignant. An Edmunds respondent said, “Having a giant letter grade will influence buyers too much. Auto companies will start making incredibly fuel efficient cars to get an A grade, which is good, but the over-all quality of the car itself could be lowered.” The rest of the comments were equally negative.

And so it begins. The establishment Republican Party has loaded the gun and is now pointing the barrel directly at its own foot; a situation all too familiar for those of us who, in the past, have watched the Republican Party snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. How they are handling the Tea Party movement – or, rather, how they are trying to man-handle the Tea Party movement – is a perfect example. In the end, victory or defeat will hinge on whether or not the establishment GOP party leaders shake-off the stench of arrogance and elitism.

Many refuse to believe Socialism is as close to America, something it was not founded on, as it is. We may start to see socialism initiated by the election this fall. The ominous harbinger—the outgoing of Senator Christopher Dodd (D/Ct).
Called the Livable Communities Act (SB1619) was brought by Dodd, and will fulfill The Green Agenda – Agenda 21, adopted at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro (1992), creating a ‘new world order’. SB1619 has just been approved by the Senate Banking Committee, and is on the fast track to passage in the Senate. The thought is this legislation must be passed before a Republican takeover in November.
Few realize this, but the unscrupulous Nazi regime based on anti-Semitic laws, actually followed the highway of modern environmentalism through Nazi Germany, as described in the Mark Musser book Nazi Oaks Book Review.

On This Day: A Republican President Issued the Emancipation Proclamation

Republicans should not allow Barack Obama to grab from away our Grand Old Party the legacy of the Great Emancipator.
On this day in 1862, President Abraham Lincoln (R-IL) issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Effective at yearend, all slaves in Confederate-controlled territory would be “forever free.”
Ill-informed critics of the first Republican President fault the Emancipation Proclamation for only freeing slaves in areas not yet under the control of the U.S. government, but — because of the Democratic Party’s resolute defense of slavery — the federal government had the necessary authority only over so-called “property” of the rebels.
Within two years, the Republican-controlled 38th Congress followed up this great advance by enacting the 13th Amendment, banning slavery throughout the nation.

Eh, don’t worry, America. If there is another 9/11-like terror attack, The One says that we can “absorb it” and just become “stronger” because of it. It’s as if he wants it to happen, or something!
In his latest book, Bob Woodward encountered a President Obama that seemed to casually blow off worry of another terror attack. The Washington Post gave us a sneak preview of Woodward’s newest tome where Obama acted so flippantly toward another 9/11. (my bold)
Woodward’s book portrays Obama and the White House as barraged by warnings about the threat of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil and confronted with the difficulty in preventing them. During an interview with Woodward in July, the president said, “We can absorb a terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, even the biggest attack ever… we absorbed it and we are stronger.”
If we are “stronger,” and that is entirely debatable, it certainly isn’t because of anything the Obama administration has done.

SEIU Union Hack Admits that Local TV Stations Help ‘Get Our Message Across’

Daniel Bice of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has a gem of a report wherein a union operative admits on tape that he and his union pals intend to launch a big campaign against Wisconsin’s GOP Gubernatorial candidate Scott Walker. That news isn’t much of a surprise, of course, but what is a surprise is that this union hack admitted on tape that Milwaukee’s local TV stations and local politicians are both sympathetic to and assisting in the union’s getting its message out.
The tape features the voice of John-David Morgan, an operative for the Service Employees International Union Local 1 (SEIU), on Sept. 10 near the Y-Not II tavern on E. Lyon St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Morgan was recorded by a Walker campaign staffer on his cell Phone who then turned it over the Bice at the Journal-Sentinel.
The union hack admitted on tape that he is working with County Board members — such as Supervisor John Weishan — to get the goods on Walker. “I’ve got county supervisors to do this stuff so, you know, it’s not just the labor union,” Morgan said.

Unions Retreat on Criticism of Dems That Didn’t Support Obamacare

Earlier in this election cycle unions were pumped up with an assumed sense of supreme power, they had spent millions to elect their guy to the White House and they were ready to flex their muscles. Unions began to direct that assumed power against Democrats that were reticent to support Obama’s takeover of our healthcare system. In some early primaries unions spoke out against these so-called Blue-dog Democrats and said they would not support them but at the other end of this primary season unions are singing a different tune.
With the obvious downturn in support that Democrats have seen in these primaries and in the polls of American voters unions have gotten the hint (like a club over the head) that the arrogance they evinced of daring to attack Democrats for not having a pure enough devotion to union ideals was maybe not such a great idea.

Schilling to Hare: “Repudiate Cap and Trade”

From the Schilling for Congress campaign (17th District)…
Hare voted for bill that would outsource 2.5 million jobs
EAST MOLINE, IL–Bobby Schilling, Republican candidate for Congress in the Illinois 17th District, called on Rep. Hare to keep his word and repudiate his vote for Cap and Trade.
Rep. Hare recently told the Quincy Herald-Whig, in regards to the US-Korea Free Trade Agreement, “I’m not going to vote for this agreement or any other one that costs even one America job. Enough is enough.”
In June 2009, Rep. Hare voted for “The American Clean Energy and Security Act” H.R. 2454, also known as “Cap and Trade.” This is a national energy tax that would not only raise energy costs for everyone, but would result in 2.5 million jobs being sent overseas, according to the Heritage Foundation. The bill would also would cost 400,000 jobs in the manufacturing industry. The bill would passed 219-212 in the House, but later failed in the Senate.
Cap and Trade is not the only job killing bill Rep. Hare has supported. Rep. Hare also supported “The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” H.R. 3590, a bill that has created 22 new taxes, including several on small business. According to the National Federation of Independent Business, the employer mandate tax could cost 1.6 million jobs by 2014.
“I recognize that Rep. Hare must have had a change of heart,” Schilling said. “I’m glad he has finally decided to stop supporting bills that would outsource American jobs, even if we are only 42 days from Election Day. He should immediately repudiate his Cap and Trade vote and his Healthcare Reform vote. These bills will send millions of jobs overseas and decimate the American manufacturing sector. It’s time for Rep. Hare to step up and fight for 17th District jobs. If he’s being honest, he’ll come forward and publicly take back those votes.”
Bobby Schilling, a native of Rock Island, graduated from Alleman High School and attended Black Hawk College. Schilling, a local business owner, is the Republican candidate for the 17th Congressional District in Illinois. Bobby is running on a platform of bringing jobs and real representation back to the 17th District. Earlier this year, Schilling conducted a 34-city “Bob’s for Jobs” tour, where he met with voters and employers all across the 17th District. Schilling was recently named an official ‘Young Gun’ by the National Republican Congressional Committee in their Young Guns program of top tiered races.

Democrat Corruption in Illinois: Michael Madigan, Rod Blagojevich, Tony Rezko, That’s What Friends are For!

The Democrats have a deep bench of corrupt officials that have all helped enrich each other at the cost to Illinois’ taxpayers. The Illinois Republican Party wants to remind you of how one Democrat hand helps the next to your money…
The video shows multiple photos of Illinois’ top Democratic leaders hugging, shaking hands or caught in an embrace with Blagojevich. It’s believed the first image of the photo montage which includes convicted felon Tony Rezko, seated next to House Speaker Michael Madigan and Blagojevich, has not been publicly released until now.
Sometimes we forget what friends are for. Mike Madigan. Pat Quinn. Alexi Giannoulias. Lisa Madigan. They all stood arm in arm with Blagojevich, despite claiming now that they knew he was corrupt.
The photos are accompanied by the song “That’s What Friends Are For.” Phrases such as “I’ll be on your side forever more,” take on new meaning for Democratic officials now trying to run as far away from Blagojevich as they can during this campaign season.
The people of Illinois need to know that this is the party that was on Rod’s side, not the people’s side, and look where that got us.

From the Hayes for Congress campaign (2nd District)…
CHICAGO: Republican nominee for Illinois 2nd Congressional District Isaac Hayes today offered Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. a free book on the Hindi language and again called for his resignation.
Jesse Jackson Jr., speaking on WLS radio’s “Don Wade & Roma” show this past Friday morning about an Oct. 28, 2008, meeting with two Indian fund-raisers said, “another gentleman showed up and started having another conversation practically in Hindu, because I don’t speak Hindu.” He went on to say, “I didn’t participate in any of that part of the conversation, nor do I even remember hearing it.”
Hayes responded with perplexity to the Congressman’s statement, “If Congressman Jackson wants us to believe that he participated in a meeting with Indian businessmen who discussed a $1 million bribe on his behalf but failed to tell him about it, he needs to have his head examined because it is clear he lacks the cognitive capacity to serve as a United States Congressman. He should resign now and save himself further embarrassment.”
Today, Hayes is offering Congressman Jackson a free book to help him with his Hindi. “Mr. Jackson alleges the conversation to buy him a Senate Seat was in Hindi, so I want to make sure he is aware that a Congressional Crime is taking place if this ever happens again,” said Hayes.
This statement appears on the Citizens for Isaac Hayes website at: www.isaac4honesty.com.

Some will observe that I have already published a number of columns regarding the aforementioned sentiment. And I will continue to do so for as long as the Obama’s hypocritically admonish to the minutest detail how we are to live lives of sacrificial austerity for the sake of the COMMUNITY while they themselves wallow in opulent luxury.
According to NBCBayArea.com, the President attended a fundraiser in California primarily for the benefit of Senator Barbara Boxer. Real leftists are basically the lowest form of humanity. Sadly it is all too often that many good, honest, well-meaning Democrats get tarred with the hatemongering, ethically compromised leftists among them. Here we have another example of this sort of behavior from the cretins of ThinkProgress.org with an incident that occurred on Sept. 18 at the Right Nation 2010 event in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
Right Nation featured an array of Illinois conservatives, office seekers, and elected officials and a few national figures such as Freedom Works chief Dick Armey, Wall Street Journal writer John Fund, ACORN Whistleblower Anita MonCrief, and Fox News commentator Glenn Beck. It also had a blogger’s row, as most of these events, left and right, now do.
The unethical actions perpetrated by these immoral leftists happened in the blogger’s room as John Fund was speaking to the handful of invited bloggers, myself one of those few. Fund began to speak to the bloggers about politics and elections in the closed room and as Fund began certain of his comments he asked us to keep his comments off the record. We all immediately turned off our recording devices at his request.
But one unethical left-winger had slipped into the room and he did not heed the request to keep comments off the record. This unethical infiltrator turned on a video camera and recorded Mr. Fund’s off the record words. Then he splashed Fund’s comments all over his leftist site.

New Jesse Jackson Jr. Allegations of Ethics Violation, Sexual Affair

On the eave of the biggest rush to run for Chicago Mayor in recent memory, Jesse Jackson, Jr. has been hit with more allegations of being involved in a scheme to buy a Senate seat from disgraced Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Additionally, there is a hint that Jackson was involved with a woman flown several times to Chicago by a campaign contributor.
An Indian-American businessman has told federal authorities that he was asked by Congressman Jackson to begin raising money for Rod Blagojevich so that Blago might appoint Jackson to the open Senate seat that Obama vacated when he took the White House in 2008.
Shortly after Blagojevich’s arrest on corruption charges in December 2008, the Chicago Tribune reported that FBI agents went to the Oak Brook home of Indian-American businessman, Raghuveer P. Nayak. The Tribune reported Nayak hosted an Oct. 31, 2008 luncheon where he discussed raising $1 million for Blagojevich to help persuade the governor to choose Jackson. The congressman’s brother Jonathan appeared at a Nayak-sponsored fundraiser for the governor three days before Blagojevich was arrested.
There is also an affair broadly hinted at between the Congressman and a woman named Giovanna Huidobro, an affair that Jackson has asked the media to ignore so as to “respect” his “private” problem between he and his wife.
The woman is said to be a “restaurant hostess” but the picture that is being used by the media looks suspiciously like a swimsuit model seen on the CincoUno.com website.

When confronted with the possible relationship, Jackson clammed up and tried to cajole the media to ignore the whole thing.
“The reference to a social acquaintance is a private and personal matter between me and my wife that was handled some time ago,” Jackson said in his statement. “I ask that you respect our privacy.
“I know I have disappointed some supporters, and for that I am deeply sorry. But I remain committed to serving my constituents and fighting on their behalf.”
Like father like son, I guess. Jackson Sr. is well known for his sexual dalliances.

Joe Biden has been telling everyone that will listen to him that the summer of 2010 was “recovery summer.” In a way he was right, but only if we take up the banner and drive the socialists out of office in November. If we can get as many good conservatives and Republicans in office in November we truly will start the recovery that Joe was all fired up about but couldn’t implement.
Newt Gingrich has taken up the charge and launched an effort to organize ten million voters to support candidates who stand for creating jobs and sensible economic policies.
Newt reminds us of the economic disaster that has been the Obama “recovery”:
- $1 Trillion Obamacare
- $863 Billion “Stimulus”
- $2.4 Trillion Additional Federal Debt
- Jobs Killing Moratoriums on Offshore Oil Drilling
“In order to keep America the most prosperous nation on Earth,” Newt says, “we must replace those who would mortgage America’s future through the Democrats big-spending, job-killing agenda with principled, pro-job candidates. America only works when Americans are working. It’s that simple.”
He is exactly right, of course.
But here is the annoying part. The life’s blood of politics is money and the left is swimming in it. Multi-millionaires like George Soros and his ilk not to mention unions control a flow millions of dollars into the pockets of Democrats all across the nation. On the other hand fiscally responsible Republicans and conservatives have only the people to fund them.
As annoying as it is, conservative candidates need money if they are going to beat the rich candidates on the left. That is why Newt Gingrich is launching his effort to raise money for good candidates.
Newt’s site is www.TenMillionVoters.com. Go take a look and donate if you feel disposed. But baring that, pick your own candidates and donate. Which ever you do, we need to heed Newt’s warning that without support our candidates cannot win.

Israel’s Haaretz news agency recently reported that on Sept. 19 former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that President George W. Bush promised to take in 100,000 Palestinian refugees, giving them automatic American citizenship in exchange for a mid east peace deal.
