From the Brady of Illinois Governor campaign…
With only two weeks before Illinois votes to make a clean break from big government, political insider Pat Quinn and his special interest, tax and spending allies have launched a desperate, last ditch effort to protect the status quo.
They’re lining up behind disgraced, convicted Governor Rod Blagojevich’s former running mate and Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn to stop Bill Brady’s campaign to clean up state government, and to create real jobs for struggling families.
On the eve of this important election, we need the help of our strongest supporters, just like you, to remind your friends and neighbors what got Illinois into this economic mess.
As Governor, Illinois has gone from bad to worse under Pat Quinn. Pat Quinn spent more, borrowed more and doled out pay hikes to his political cronies while families suffer under double digit unemployment. Now he wants to raise our taxes.
Editorial boards have spoken – Pat Quinn cannot do this job. He had his chance. It’s time to cut state spending and taxes, clean up corruption, and create more jobs.
It’s time for Bill Brady.
After two years and hundreds of thousands of lost jobs, Pat Quinn is spending his entire campaign making false, personal attacks against Bill Brady. That’s what desperate, career politicians do.
Now he’s at it again, misleading voters in a new television ad that distorts the truth about Bill’s record as a citizen legislator.
As Governor, Bill Brady will always put the people’s interests before the special interests. All his life, Bill has made the tough choices to keep his small business afloat during hard times, and to protect hard working employees who count on their jobs to feed their families.
Tough choices in hard times. Maybe we could use that in Springfield.
