An Example of How the Lying Media Has Warped the Orlando Shooting to its Own Ends
-By Warner Todd Huston
There is a new piece in the L.A. Times that is distressing at the least, but also shows how the liars in the Media and the American political left (but I repeat myself) have distorted the Muslim terror attack in Orlando into a message that the U.S. Constitution is bad, Americans are evil, and guns, guns, guns.
The proper lesson from the ISIS/Islam-inspired terror attack by an American-born, Muslim extremist and all around mentally sick individual is that Islam is a cancer on humanity. But instead of the proper focus on the root cause of the mass murder of 49 people in an Orlando gay nightclub in Florida we get effluvia and puffery disguised as analysis and outright lies peddled as causation.
This is clearly evinced in a piece written by The Times’ so called “national race and justice correspondent,” Jaweed Kaleem–just another mediot obviously trying to absolve Islam for the attacks.
Terror apologist Kaleem found a number of foreign gay men who have inculcated the U.S.media’s lie-filled response to Orlando and ridiculously concluded that the U.S. is not a safe place for gays.
One foolish gay man even concluded that being gay in Pakistan is safer than being gay in the U.S. PAKISTAN! Where they jail you, torture you, and even execute you for being gay.
Check out this idiocy…
“What has surprised me is the bigotry and racism and hate that has been exposed because of the Orlando attack. As a gay Muslim man, I would be terrified to live in the U.S. I’m thankful to God that I don’t,” said Qasim Iqbal, 45, executive director of Naz Male Health Alliance, an LGBT social services organization in Lahore, Pakistan.
But, one might not want to be too hard on this foolish Pakistani gay man after spending some time looking at the mounds of lies and misdirection being flogged by the press in the wake of the Muslim attack on the gay nightclub in Orlando.
The attack was clearly motivated by Muslim hate for gays. It was clearly perpetrated by a man who never accepted the American ideals of tolerance, religious freedom, and democracy quite despite the fact that he was born here to Muslim immigrants.
But this gay man in Pakistan (and the article gives us several others just like him) has learned from the media that white racists who love guns are to blame for Orlando because that is what the media is selling the world.
The media is all balled up abut “the no-fly list” as if that is a single list with all terrorists neatly identified and pigeonholed, it is beside itself that Americans have the right to self protection, and it is aghast at “white racism” quite despite that no such racism is part of the Orlando killings.
But, if terror apologist Jaweed Kaleem’s article is any indication, the media has done a masterful job of warping the news of the Orlando shooting to push it’s anti-American, anti-gun, anti-Constitution agenda and it should be no surprise that foreigners looking at this message are fooled.
