KMOX CBS Manufactures Journalism to Create ‘Outrage’ Over Confederate Flag

The Confederate flag has a very long and controversial history, to be sure. But a recent CBS report on a flag dustup in a school in Missouri shows just how slipshod journalism is today.

So, as the story goes, some kids at a Kansas City suburban high school have been playing with the Confederate battle flag lately and despite that there is no real news in the incident, the story made the news. Naturally the agenda journalists at CBS radio, KMOX, St. Louis tried their hardest to make it a story about “RAAAAAAAACISM!” despite that there doesn’t seem to be any proof at all that race is really a part of the story.

The report quotes a girl who noted that “some boy” was wearing a 3X5 sized C.S. flag as a cape and parading around “as if he was Superman or something.”

The assistant principal, as kill-joy officials are wont to do, took the flag away from the kid for whatever reason… not that school officials ever think they need a reason to take things away from kids, of course.

Racist: Illinois Democrat Calls Bi-Racial Republican a ‘Half’ of a Minority

Aurora’s Democrat State Representative, Linda Chapa LaVia, decided to let her racist flag fly on the floor of the House earlier this week when she called a bi-racial Republican a”half” of a minority during a debate on her failed teachers union-backed attempt to harm Illinois’ charter schools.

Chapa LaVia was pleading with the minorities in the chamber telling them that only they really care about education in Illinois when she turned toward her right where Rep. John D. Anthony (R, Morris) was sitting whereupon she slammed him as only “half” a minority.

Of course, even by any measure of the left’s ideas of what a “minority” is ancestors wise Anthony fits the bill. He is part Africa and part Hispanic having a Puerto Rican background. He was a policeman and was elected as a Republican in 2013.

Ah, but there is Chapa LaVia’s racist clap trap coming into play, isn’t it? You see, merely being a Republican is enough for Chapa LaVia to claim that Anthony is only “half” a minority.

Common Core Worksheet Tells Kids to Chose 2 Amendments to Remove from Constitution

Controversy has erupted over a Common Core team assignment at a middle school in Arkansas requiring students to decide which two amendments to remove from the Bill of Rights in the U.S. Constitution.

The assignment from the Bryant School District in Bryant, Ark., titled an “Assessment over The Bill of Rights,” tasked kids with deciding which two amendments in the Bill of Rights have become “outdated,” or have outlived their usefulness and should be removed from the law of the land.

The worksheet presents kids with the premise that there “has been a lot of controversy lately surrounding the War on Terror” and that many Americans feel the Patriot Act is a threat to our privacy and liberty while others feel it helps protect us. Therefore, the worksheet notes, the “government of the United States” has “determined that [The Bill of Rights] is outdated.”

Click on image to see a larger image of the worksheet

Students are then informed that they have been appointed as a member of the “National Revised Bill of Rights Task Force” and they need to decide which amendments should be eliminated to modify the Constitution to better fit into a new era of massive government surveillance.

Chgo Teachers Union Chief Wants Math Corrupted With ‘Social Justice’ Propaganda

Did you think that math was a subject that is by its very nature free of political ideology? Did you think that math was just, well, math? Maybe it won’t surprise you that Chicago teachers union chief, Karen Lewis, disagrees with you and thinks that math isn’t just math but should also be a platform to push left-wing “social justice” propaganda on students.

The rotund Lewis made her pronouncements at an education conference called the Network for Public Education conference held on March 1, 2014 in Austin, Texas.

During her remarks Lewis praised the efforts of extremist left-winger Bob Peterson who is unfortunately in charge of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin teachers union. Peterson wrote a book that is used in the classroom to push left-wing ideology on kids and Lewis thinks everyone should emulate that.

“You want to talk about organizing? You want to talk about social justice?” Lewis bellowed.

As Americans find fewer jobs, as more homes are foreclosed upon, and as more people become desperate, perhaps some are living off the grid and escaping to the woods to live in makeshift houses? At least one photographer near Baltimore found just such a community and took some fascinating photographs of them.

While hiking through the forgotten sections of Baltimore, Maryland–areas behind Wal-Marts, near railroad tracks, and in small patches of woods–photographer Ben Marcin found an interesting series of makeshift homes and campsites hidden there.

Some were made of tents or sheets of plastic, others merely a bedroll on some wooden pallets, but others were more elaborate. One, for instance, was made up of dozens of plastic milk crates while another was fashioned from discarded wooden doors.

Another Black Racist Whines About Whites ‘Murdering’ Blacks

As the nation’s African American community continues to wallow in an epidemic of black-on-black murder each and every day, we get the likes of “CrunkFeminist” Brittney Cooper claiming that the real problem in the black community is “an onslaught of white murder,” a badly formulated phrase for which she offers no evidence but one case.

In a hyperbolic piece in Salon, Brittney Cooper desperately tries to make the case that no black person is safe in America today apparently because there are marauding bands of elderly white folks killing blacks by the buckets full–a mythic group in which she casts Hispanic man, George Zimmerman.

What is her proof of this absurd claim that whites are killing blacks? Only a single example. Cooper’s ire is directed at the fact that a white man was not convicted of murdering a black teen in Florida. Yes, one white man’s crime is enough for Cooper to imagine a nation where no black is safe as she gives only a single example to “prove” her hyperbolic claim.

NY Teachers/Social Workers Save Class From Evil Lego Gun Wielding Kid

The geniuses in the State of New York educational establishment have made schools safe from gun wielding crazies once again by persecuting an evil child who waved a gun in class. What kind of super dangerous gun did the boy have? A one-inch-long Lego toy, naturally.

This is, of course, more stupidity sponsored by one of those pointless “zero tolerance” policies that holds that any “weapon” in class is grounds for severe prosecution of the student violating the policy.

In this case, an 8-year-old boy at an upstate New York grade school was persecuted by officials for wielding the tiny piece of plastic shaped like a gun used for characters in the Lego line of toys. Officials claimed the boy threatened to “shoot” his classmates… with a one-inch-long piece of plastic.

The boy’s “teacher” called both the school principal and the social worker because of this dangerous, dangerous gun.

Despite Leftist Handwringing, Bicycles More Dangerous to Kids Than Guns

Liberals are still wailing about the “danger” our kids face in schools due to guns in the classroom and mass shootings. But even as Bloomberg’s absurd anti-gun group and others act as if we have some national crisis, the reality of it is that bicycles hurt more kids every year than guns, and not by just a little.

Certainly it is appalling if even one child is hurt in school and outrageous if he is hurt with a gun, but before we get all crazed over the “crisis” of guns in school, we need a bit of perspective.

For instance, left-wing Slate magazine noted just after the crime at Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012 that 297 kids had been killed in school shooting between 1980 and 2012.

Again, it is horrid that even one child should be killed at school, but let’s look at just a few other statistics to which to compare that three decades of school shootings.

Fetid Chicago Schools: 11-Year-Old Suspended for Broken Toy Gun

Once again we see the stupidity of the so-called “zero tolerance” policy in our fetid schools with an 11-year-old boy in Chicago who was suspended for voluntarily turning in a broken toy gun to school officials after he remembered he had it in his coat pocket when he got to school.

Chicago’s Frederick Funston Elementary School recently introduced random pat downs of students entering the school with an eye toward stopping weapons from coming into the classroom. So, when sixth grader Caden Cook was waiting in line to get into the school he remembered he had the broken toy gun in his coat pocket and voluntarily turned it in to school authorities.

Being honest was the student’s big mistake. Instead of school officials just taking the little toy and tossing it in the garbage like a sensible adult would do, the boy’s life was turned upside down from multiple attacks at the hands of school administrators incensed that the child dare to break their foolish, illogical “zero tolerance” policy.

This morning, Senator Kirk Dillard was “especially proud” to accept the endorsement of the Illinois Education Association (IEA) for the GOP nomination for Illinois Governor.

According to IEA president Cinda Klickna Dillard has shown that he values the expertise and opinions of the IEA.

“Sen. Dillard supports our fight for adequate funding for public education and he stood up to tremendous pressure and voted against the unfair and unconstitutional pension bill, Senate Bill 1,” Klickna said during this morning’s press conference.

“Illinois needs a fighter who believes in public schools and that is why IEA is proud to recommend Senator Kirk Dillard for the Republican nomination for governor,” she added.

The IEA is the largest education union in the state with some 130,000 members.

Dillard focused his comments on “the teachers” and education in general, but steered clear of talking about the union itself or the political abuses perpetrated public employees unions in general.

Dwayne Ferguson an African American community activist and vehement anti-gun campaigner who worked tirelessly for New York’s gun grabbing SAFE Act was arrested last week for carrying a concealed weapon into a grade school. He said he “forgot” he had the gun on him and wants to be given a pass on the violation.

Last week, Ferguson, the leader of the extremist anti-gun group MAD DADS, was the cause of a lockdown of Harvey Austin Elementary, in Buffalo, New York. Police responded to a call about a man with a gun on school grounds with their search ending when they found Ferguson’s handgun.

The activist, who helps run an after-school program, was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, including having a loaded weapon on school grounds–charges now enhanced by the anti-gun SAFE Act. He could be sentenced to up to four years in prison for the violation.

He pleaded not guilty to the crime saying he should be given a pass because he merely “forgot” that he had his pistol on him and since he has a legal concealed carry permit he thinks he should be let off the hook.

Time to Stop Supporting the Girl Scouts

For a few years now I have been seeing stories about how the Girl Scouts are pushing abortion harder and harder. At first the references to the organization’s campaign in favor of abortion was disparate and isolated. But now that they are pushing for Texas candidate Wendy Davis, it’s finally all too much. It is time to stop supporting the Girl Scouts.

For me, in years past I maintained that you shouldn’t hold the national organization to task for what local groups did. But as the connections mounted year in and year out, it all became too much to ignore. Now, despite what the national organization claims, it is simply impossible to believe that the GS doesn’t materially support abortion quite despite what they claim as an official policy.

Several national pro-life groups have banded together this year to officially boycott the Girl Scouts over its support of abortion, most especially its ties to the baby-killing group Planned Parenthood.

Granted the Girl Scouts claim that their official position on abortion is to have no position on abortion. But the GS’s actions speak to the opposite.

In fact, the GS denies that they have any ties at all to Planned Parenthood. However, they have recently come to tout Texas abortion pusher Wendy Davis as an important “role model” for their girls and have in the past pushed Planned Parenthood leaders and operatives as “role models” for girls to look up to. The GS has also frequently pushed Planned Parenthood resources on their girls.

But to have “no position” would mean to avoid connecting with it pro or con in order to avoid a defacto position through support, yet the GS is thoroughly connected to Planned Parenthood despite the “no position” claim.

An OfficeMax stationary store in suburban Chicago has courted controversy and raised questions of consumer privacy by sending a direct mail flyer to the home of a man whose daughter was killed in a car accident addressing the mail to the resident and “Daughter Killed in Car Crash Or Current Business.”

The mail was sent to the home of Antioch resident Mike Seay whose 17-year-old daughter, Ashley, was killed in a car accident in April of 2013.

Seay said he thinks of his lost daughter every day, but when that OfficeMax coupon came in the mail addressed like that he was shocked and outraged.

“Why would they have that type of information? Why would they need that?” Seay told Chicago’s NBC affiliate. “What purpose does it serve anybody to know that? And how much other types of other information do they have if they have that on me, or anyone else? And how do they use that, what do they use that for?”

Everyone loves to use their iPhone or other smart phones to snap photos of family and friends, to take pics of places you’ve visited, and to upload those photos to the internet via services such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. But did you know that there is hidden data in those photos that can tell crooks and sex criminals exactly where those photos were taken? Alarmingly, your safety and privacy is at risk every time you upload a photo to the Internet!

So, if you are taking photos of your children inside your home, for instance, and you upload those to the Internet, criminals can use this hidden data to find out where you live. In fact, they can map out your entire life via this hidden data if you are a constant user of social media.

This should frighten the heck out of you if you are a parent that has a habit of uploading photos of your children to the Internet. Or if you are a single young woman who does the same. Any sex criminal can track you down using this data.

So, what is this hidden data? It is GPS information encoded into the photos you take from your cell phone that tells exactly where that photo was taken. This data can be revealed with add ons and phone aps that uncover the hidden GPS info.

The five Houston Independent School District bus drivers had “disciplinary letters” placed in their employment files for using a back channel to pray together after another driver’s 12-year-old daughter was run down while walking home from school on December 16, the media reported.

In response to this unfair disciplinary action, several drivers, their union representatives, and local ministers gathered in front of the Houston schools administration building to publicly protest the move and also to publicly pray for a resolution to the situation.

After an interview with Robertson went viral, the old media establishment went wild calling his comments “hate speech,” and “anti-gay” and ramping up pressure on the A&E cable network to fire him from his reality show. As the nation continues to struggle economically and many American families are struggling to feed themselves in this jobless environment, Barack Obama is urging Congress to new and energetic intervention with a new law he is proposing that is intended to fix the failing American nuclear family unit.

Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid has signed onto Obama’s new idea and is now pushing the Reinvesting Individual People Act, or the RIP Act, through the Senate. Every Democrat has pledged to vote yes on the bill while the obstructionist Republicans–except for John McCain–are saying they will oppose the bill.

In a press conference from the White House, President Obama announced the new idea that he says will make families fair. Because some families are big and others small, Obama says, it is not fair as the small families are getting off too cheap in this tough economy.

“Smaller families have a smaller economic and environmental footprint,” Obama said on Friday evening. “Therefore, we intend to offer a helping hand to Americans with the Reinvesting Individual People Act.”

This new law will mandate that all families be of equal size. Every family will be made of three people and never any more than that.

Obama’s Veteran’s Administration has prevented delivery of hand-made Christmas cards that were to go to wounded veterans because the cards made by kids at a Dallas area grade school have the words “Merry Christmas” on them. The VA claims that this traditional Christmas wish will upset veterans who aren’t religious and so the cards were not allowed.

Fifty-two students at Grace Academy in Prosper, Texas, sent their hand-made cards to the VA hospital in Dallas on Monday, but authorities declined to accept the cards and would not allow the kids visiting to hand them out, Fox 4 in Dallas-Fort Worth reported.

Asked why she was making cards for our wounded soldiers, fourth grader Gracie Brown said, “I’m hoping that it might make their day because their family might live far away, and they might not have somebody to celebrate Christmas with and I’d like them to know they’ve not been forgotten and somebody wanted to say thank you.”

Media Ignoring That Colorado School Shooter Was Stopped by Armed Security Guard

Did you know that the latest left-winger who decided to shoot up a local school was stopped in 80 seconds by an armed security guard? Few do because the media refuses to focus on this fact.

Arapaho High School shooter Karl Pierson was loaded up for a long shooting spree when he entered his high school at about 12:30 on December 13. But it was all over in seconds resulting in this admitted communist shooting himself when he was confronted by an armed Arapahoe County Sheriff’s officer. The sheriff was employed by the school as its Student Resource Officer.

The media isn’t focusing much on the true facts in this story because it doesn’t fit its narrative.

But the fact is the shooter was a left-wing criminal and was stopped by a man with a gun! These are facts that the left-wing, anti-Constitution media establishment are loath to report.

Victim Claire Davis, now in critical condition.

In fact, when it first published a story about the shooting, The Denver Post buried the fact that the boy was a self-identified socialist in the 13th paragraph of its story. But then, early the next morning, the paper erased the word “socialist” altogether and never told readers it had done so.

Why was the Post trying to shield this would be mass murderer from his own acclaimed, left-wing views?

Your guess is as good as mine. OK, who am I kidding, the left-wing paper didn’t want to identify a killer as a socialist for fear that it would make socialists look bad. But think of this: would the paper have been as reluctant to identify this creep’s political ideas if he called himself a tea partier?

Nope. They’d have been all over it.

Would be killer Karl Pierson.

The other key aspect of this story that most news outlets are trying to downplay is the fact that this kid was stopped in seconds by an armed security guard.

One of the few outlets to report on this fact was CNN, which wrote:

The deputy was yelling for people to get down and identified himself as a county deputy sheriff, Robinson said. “We know for a fact that the shooter knew that the deputy was in the immediate area and, while the deputy was containing the shooter, the shooter took his own life.”

But even at that, these facts were buried deep down in the story instead of serving as a central point of the news as it should.

Left-wingers don’t want America to know that this kid is a socialist nor do they want us all to know that an armed man in a school stopped a mass murder. This does not fit the story they want to tell the country.

It’s a sales job, not a religious message!

It could be, it might be, it… isn’t religious, but the fearful authorities at a Minnesota school thought that a skeleton carton on a kid’s Christmas poster was “religious” and should be taken down.

The poster featured the cartoon character Jack Skellington from the Tim Burton movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas” but this didn’t stop the absurd authorities at the PACT Charter school in Ramsey, Minnesota from taking it down for fear of “religious” themes.

The civil rights advocacy group The Rutherford Institute has taken up the cause and sent a letter to the school warning them of their folly.

One of the biggest solutions reformers have to fix our failing schools is to give parents vouchers that can be used to send kids to the parent’s choice of schools. But one union-backing school superintendent in North Carolina is so against any solutions outside those offered by unions that she is going to the absurd extreme of saying that vouchers would be used to “train terrorists.”

That’s right. If you support giving parents a better choice for their children’s education, then you are a supporter of terrorism.

North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction June Atkinson says of the voucher legislation, “There is nothing in the legislation that would prevent someone from establishing a school of terror.”

Really? That is her concern? Where did this come from, you might wonder? Why, she’s attacking Christian schools, of course.

Little Girls Kicked Out of Grocery Store for ‘Offending’ Customers With Christmas Carols

These girls were told to can the Christmas carols.

Christmas is offensive. At least a WinCo grocery store in Vancouver, Washington, was afraid that a pair of little girls would “offend” customers if they sang Christmas carols outside the store. So they told the two tykes to take a hike.

The two girls, Ayla Bascom and Kaitlyn Manseau, started singing songs outside the grocery store including both secular and religious songs, such as “Jingle Bell Rock” and “Silent Night.” But the store managers got all afraid of “offending” customers with the songs.

“(The store said) our policy is like we don’t allow carolers or something like that,” little Kaitlyn said.

“I was like bummed,” Ayla said. “We were both depressed that we couldn’t spread any more love and joy and cheer.”

Only ten days before the anniversary of the massacre at a grade school in Newton, Connecticut, a new anti-gun ad exploiting children has debuted.

The ad has been co-sponsored by buttinski New York Mayor Michael “Nanny” Bloomberg and his group Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the anti-Constitution activist group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense.

The two groups made a 30 second version and a 60 second version of the ad.

The ads were released on December 4 and are expected to run on cable stations later in the month.
