‘To Russia, With Love,’ Starring Barack Obama and the Democrat Party

-By Warner Todd Huston

After rolling in the mud for nearly two months desperately trying to find some reason, any reason… you know, other than facts… for their November 8 loss, Barack Obama, the Democrat Party, and their handmaidens in the Old Media complex have finally found their perfect scape goat: It wuz the Russians wut dun it.

Of course any look at the facts we have before us will prove that there was never any hacking of the election. And even if Russian hackers had something to do with the hacking of the Democrat Party and Clinton chief John Podesta’s email system from which months of leaks emerged in drip-drip fashion damaging Hillary’s campaign, that is not the same thing as saying “the election was hacked.” Hacking John Podesta’s badly safeguarded emails is NOT the “hacking” of the election.

But damn the truth, since just after the election Barack Obama has been selling the fiction that the Russians “hacked the election” and ostensibly selling that as the reason Hillary lost. But thus far there has been absolutely no proof at all that any of the 50 states and all their many millions of machines in their thousands of voting districts were electronically messed with in any way at all. One would think that Obama loves this whole thing. The fake news of a Russian hacking is his excuse du jour.

So, even though we have no evidence, Obama has been ramping up is anti-Russia actions which have now resulted in the expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats and government employees based here in the U.S.A.

Another Obama Agency Says Conservatives More Dangerous Than Islamic Terrorists

-By Warner Todd Huston

Yet again President Obama and that coterie of anti-American cretins he calls his administration deems conservatives to be more dangerous and worth “watching” than Islamic terrorists. The newest attack on Americans unleashed by Obama is the announcement that the politicized Department of “Justice” is now investigating “far-right” activity on Twitter and other social media.

As The Washington Free Beacon reports, “The Justice Department’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) awarded Michigan State University $585,719 for the study, which was praised by Eric Holder, the former attorney general, earlier this year.”

“There is currently limited knowledge of the role of technology and computer mediated communications (CMCs), such as Facebook and Twitter, in the dissemination of messages that promote extremist agendas and radicalize individuals to violence,” the NIJ grant reads. “The proposed study will address this gap through a series of qualitative and quantitative analyses of posts from various forms of CMC used by members of both the far-right and Islamic extremist movements.”

Big Brother Gathering Info on You as You Shop With Cameras on Store Shelves

-By Warner Todd Huston

Information and data is the key to success, so say many companies these days. The newest attempt to gather customer data is soon to occur in grocery stores that want to put surveillance cameras right on store shelves to watch shoppers and gather their shopping habits for further research.

DC News FOX 5 DC WTTG

A recent report by Fox DC says that by 2015 some grocery stores may have cameras right on store shelves aimed at watching how people shop in order to learn more about their habits.

The idea is being floated by the company that owns such food brands as Ritz Crackers, Nabisco, Chips Ahoy cookies, and other snack foods.

Shocking Report: NSA Even Spied on Their Own Loved Ones, Girlfriends, Neighbors

-By Warner Todd Huston

New reports have emerged showing that employees of the National Security Agency have misused their power to spy on American’s communication by keeping tabs on their own girlfriends, boyfriends, family members and neighbors, snooping into what they were doing in their daily lives.

The practice was so blatant that NSA employees had even coined a term for this type of spying: “Love-int.” This stands for “love intelligence,” as in information on loved ones.

It was recently disclosed that the NSA had broken privacy rules on nearly 3,000 occasions over just a one-year period, so imagine how many times they’ve abused their powers over the 10 years they’ve been building these capabilities!

There can be no better example than this of the old axiom, “absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

NY Times Talks Up NSA’s Expertise

-By Warner Todd Huston

In a story that reads like a gushing profile article on an exciting new business venture, The New York Times reported on the vast growth and technological advancement of the National Security Agency’s data mining capabilities.

The June 8 piece titled, “How the U.S. Uses Technology to Mine More Data More Quickly,” is filled with seemingly positive comments on the NSA’s new advancements, longer reach, and secret operations. There’s barely a hint of the sort of condemnation the paper was filled with during the Bush years when outcries against “domestic spying” were all the rage.

The Times says NSA’s capabilities are built on a “revolution in software technology,” and is “undergoing rapid expansion in order to exploit the mountains of new data being created each day.”

Paul Krugman: ‘We Are Kind of an Authoritarian Surveillance State’

-By Warner Todd Huston

Liberal economist and leading modern Keynesian, Paul Krugman of The New York Times, has been one of Barack Obama’s biggest cheerleaders, but suddenly he is a bit down on the Obama administration saying that he is afraid that the country is becoming an “authoritarian surveillance state.”

With a mounting list of scandals from government-sponsored intimidation of the President’s political enemies, to surveillance of reporters, to a growing list of communications companies allowing government intelligence agencies access to all of our personal phone calls, Internet searches, and text messages, this must be a confusing time for the President’s most ardent supporters. Krugman’s reaction here is an example of that turning of the head.

For Krugman, with latest news about the massive collection of data on everyday Americans he sees the United States of America drifting toward authoritarianism.

Obama’s Intelligence Agency Looking to Hire ‘Digital Exploitation Specialist’

-By Warner Todd Huston

The National Security Agency (NSA) has been in the spotlight since news broke that the agency has been collecting massive amounts of data from everyday Americans and with some of the worst timing ever, the NSA is now advertising for new employees for positions as “Digital Exploitation Specialists.”

According to the NSA job description, the duties of the job are to “perform discovery and target technology analysis of digital network and mobile communications.”

The job opening was advertised on Twitter on June 6.

Just as the agency is under suspicion of being the biggest domestic spies in American history, the agency posts job openings for even more such people. This only days before an NSA whistleblower came forward to detail what many is proof of the over zealousness of the spy agency.

And as millions of Americans are losing their jobs, their insurance benefits, or finding their career stagnate in paralysis, the NSA seems to have a pretty sweet starting salary range for these Digital Exploitation Specialists. They’ll be making between $42,209 and $81,204 annually.

Obama Ignores F&F Questions From Latino Media, Also F&F Guns At Texas Crime Scenes

Obama Ignores F&F Questions From Latino Media, Also F&F Guns At Texas Crime Scenes

-By Warner Todd Huston

At a recent press availability for Latino press outlets, President Obama evaded questions about why he and his regime won’t reveal how deep the murderous Operation Fast and Furious goes in his administration and why he won’t even help Mexican authorities track down the guns he allowed to “walk” into their nation to kill Mexican citizens.

You sure can’t say that the Department of Justice didn’t come by its penchant to stonewall questions over its criminal culpability in Operation Fast and Furious. It’s obvious they are being directed to stonewall and avoid questions by the president if his actions at the presser are any indications.

During the roundtable event Obama was asked about the disastrous program but his answers were evasive and non-responsive…

War Drums Beating: Anti-American George Soros Promoting Anti-Americanism in Central Asia

War Drums Beating: Anti-American George Soros Promoting Anti-Americanism in Central Asia

-By Warner Todd Huston

Richard Miniter has a very interesting article in Forbes about the damage anti-American millionaire George Soros is causing to both Central Asia and the foreign policy of the United States.

Soros is an interesting if risible figure. For good reason his name is a boogieman name for we on the right. Truthfully, though, most on the right don’t really have a full grasp on what it is he does to make his name worthy of being put in the pantheon of history’s worst haters of America.

People are aware that he uses his huge fortune to fund left-wing causes and organizations in the U.S., but many conservatives these days are unaware that Soros has also used his cash to topple communist dictators in the former Soviet nations in Central Asia. And while this seems like a good thing, there is all sorts of bad things that have happened because of his interference not the least of which is a growing anti-Americanism in nations that were already suspicious of the United States.

How could that be, conservatives might wonder? How could the leading hater of the U.S.A. be promoting even more anti-Americanism overseas? Shouldn’t his actions be welcomed by left-wingers everywhere?

Colin Powell: Big Fat Liar

-By Warner Todd Huston

Colin Powell’s reply to what he called a “cheap shot” in former Vice President Dick Cheney’s new book, “In My Time,” is little but an example of “dishonesty” that is “quite stunning,” as far as Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post is concerned.

Powell was upset over the way Cheney described the supposed leak of Valerie Plame as a CIA operative. The former Sec. of State said that the former VP delivered a “cheap shot” to say that the outing of Plame was Powell’s fault and the fault of his underling at the State Dept., Richard Armitage.

Then Powell goes on to offer his own version of the incident. Sadly, what he proffered is filled with inaccuracies. Truthfully, there is no other way to characterize Colin Powell’s version of the Valerie Plame affair but as an outright lie…

Was Obama’s CIA Behind Guns for Mexican Narco-Terrorists?

Was Obama’s CIA Behind Guns for Mexican Narco-Terrorists?

-By Warner Todd Huston

There was an interesting article in the Washington Times on August 11 that speculated that the CIA was an important participant in Obama’s gun walker/Operation Fast and Furious program that put free guns in the hands of Mexican narco-terrorists. The reason the CIA was so interested in doing this was to lend its support to one violent Mexican drug cartel in hopes it could defeat an even more violent Mexican drug cartel.

Of course, the CIA wasn’t the only conspirator in Obama’s arming of Mexican narco-terrorists. We know that the FBI, the DEA, and the BATF were in this mess up to each of their elbows and all have blood on their hands. But the Times notes that the CIA is one agency that has been left out of the blame game in this mounting scandal…

Barack Obama Deserves Great Kudos For Finishing Hunt for bin Ladden

Barack Obama Deserves Great Kudos For Finishing Hunt for bin Ladden

-By Warner Todd Huston

The particular operation that finally got this murderous monster, Osamma bin Ladden, has been ongoing for four years. It started at the end of Bush’s term in office. It has finished with dedication under President Barack Obama.

Barack Obama was perfectly correct to send his Seal Team from Afghanistan and to avoid telling the Pakistani government that this operation was in the offing. Barack Obama deserves great credit for not bowing to Muslim entireties in Pakistan to keep them fully informed about our operations.

After all, the reason the hunt for bin Ladden has taken this long is not because Clinton or Bush were failures, but because every single time we told the Pakistani government that we were close to bin Ladden, the Pakistanis informed bin Ladden that we were on his tail and allowed him to get away.

The Pakistanis cannot be trusted in any way. Period. Obama was quite right to realize this.

No, No, No! No More Gorelicks!

No, No, No! No More Gorelicks!

-By Frank Salvato

With all the absurdities in the world, with all the absurdities coming out of the Obama Administration, perhaps one of the most jaw-dropping, one of the most egregious, one of the most spectacular, is the notion that the person who single-handedly erected “the wall” between the US intelligence and US law enforcement communities – the wall responsible for facilitating the attacks of September 11th, 2001, Jamie Gorelick – is being considered for the position of Director of the FBI. What intellectually challenged Progressive operative could have possibly thought this was a good idea?

FBI Director Robert Mueller, who has come under scrutiny by those who study radical Islamism for his less than intensive examination of Islamist radicalization within the United States, is set to conclude his tenure in early September of this year. This puts the Obama Administration in the position of having to nominate a new director, not only to execute the post in a post-September 11th era, but to execute it for a post-Obama administration, as well.

To put it bluntly, the Director of the FBI has to have the courage to stand-up to bully ideologues the likes of Attorney General Eric Holder and Senior Presidential Advisor Valerie Jarrett. A Director must put the idea of law enforcement and investigation above all else. And as we have learned through the events of Watergate, sometimes the Director must thoroughly absolve himself of all political loyalties in the pursuit of justice in the name of and for the American people, his or her true employer.
