So, according to the Obama administration, if you are a Muslim in Illinois who signed a contract to work for a company, but you find that you just don’t want to do something your boss tells you to do, why, you just don’t have to do it. Oh, and if you are fired for refusing to do the work you contracted to do, why, Obama will sue your employer for you.

This is what has happened in the Land Of Lincoln with the US Government vs the Star Transport trucking company. A couple of Muslims signed a contract to work for a trucking company, a contract that says that drivers will take any load that a company administrator assigns and will deliver that payload. Period. The terms of employment are known ahead of time among all employees.

But a couple of Muslims for Star Transport found out that their boss was going to ask them to transport a load of alcohol–a job that everyone knows the company has–and these Muslims refused to take the load because: religion.

Senator Paul has announced that he is joining a class action lawsuit being filed against Obama’s NSA. He also noted that he is joining the lawsuit as an average citizen, not as a US Senator.

Information and data is the key to success, so say many companies these days. The newest attempt to gather customer data is soon to occur in grocery stores that want to put surveillance cameras right on store shelves to watch shoppers and gather their shopping habits for further research.

DC News FOX 5 DC WTTG

A recent report by Fox DC says that by 2015 some grocery stores may have cameras right on store shelves aimed at watching how people shop in order to learn more about their habits.

The idea is being floated by the company that owns such food brands as Ritz Crackers, Nabisco, Chips Ahoy cookies, and other snack foods.

A Department of Homeland Security operative responsible for buying weapons and ammunition for the agency has been discovered running a website that urges black people to kill whites and to kill “Uncle Tom race traitors.”

Some of you may recall the 1.6 billion of rounds of ammo that DHS has been buying.

Now, only a few months after we’ve learned that the DHS is buying billions of rounds of ammo–not to mention tanks and armored vehicles–we find one of its procurement officers is a racist bent on the genocide of white people.

Ayo Kimathi, who calls himself the “Irritated Genie” on his website, claimed he set up the website to sell concert and lecture videos.

But what actually appears on his site is a far cry from mere promotional items.

The ‘Forced Home Inspections’ in Obamacare Law

New reports are finding that President Obama’s take over of our healthcare system with his Obamacare law will give the government the right to force “inspections” on millions of American homes and your guns may be one of the factors causing a “forced” inspection.

Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) website details the “Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program” which give the government the right to invade any home of families Obama deems is a “high-risk” home.

One of the criteria of an “high-risk” home is the presence of firearms, according to a manual published by HHS in 2006.

According to Freedom Outpost other markers of a “high-risk” home are:

Republican Elites DID Seek to Keep Federal Oversight on State Elections

Last week PJ Media posted a short story that reported that certain operatives in the Republican Party establishment wanted to buck the Supreme Court of the United States of America and look to ways to re-instate federal oversight over elections and redistricting in southern states. The Republican National Committee immediately denied the report and said they absolutely were not looking to re-impose federal oversight on the states.

In June the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) struck down part of the voting rights law and returned oversight of redistricting and elections back to the several southern states. Since 1965 these states had to plead to the federal government to get approval for such things all due to civil rights violations during the days of Jim Crow.

This decision was hailed by conservatives as a move in the right direction but Obama’s racebaiting Attorney General, Eric Holder, has vowed to return the states back to federal oversight quite despite what the SCOTUS decided.

Now, in the original PJ Media report (RNC Operatives Join Holder’s Campaign Against Texas, Several Other States), it was reported that “the RNC have been spending RNC donations plotting to do exactly what Eric Holder is seeking to do–return Texas and other states to federal oversight.”

DOJ Defunds Youth Programs that Reference God

Obama’s Department of Justice has summarily removed federal funding from two Louisiana youth programs, one a Young Marines program, because a local official refused to sign a pledge stating he would require the programs to ban mentions of God.

Julian Whittington, the sheriff of Bossier Parish, La., told Fox News that Obama’s Justice Office of Civil Rights defunded the Young Marines chapter and another youth program over mentions of religion. In the case of the Young Marine program, chartered in 1965, the funding was cut off because the group features an oath that mentions “God.” In the other case it was because a program for at risk youth featured a voluntary, student-led prayer session as one of its activities.

Sheriff Whittington says that the DOJ withdrew a combined $30,000 from the programs because the groups refused to remove God from their activities. The sheriff said this was evidence of the government’s “aggression and infringement of our religious freedoms.”

Has DOJ Given McConnell Bugging Suspect ‘Journalist’ Status?

A recent Politico story seems to indicate that the Department of Justice is stymied on its prosecution of the political activist that recorded a private campaign meeting between Senator Mitch McConnell and his staff because the DOJ considers the activist a “journalist” and wants to tread gingerly as a result.

The “bugging” incident came to light early in April when a recording of the private, closed-door meeting was released by Mother Jones magazine. It was soon revealed that Curtis Morrison, a political activist that works for the left wing political group Progress Kentucky, used his flip cam to record what he could hear of the meeting through a closed door in McConnell’s Senate offices.

Even with charges of illegal recording–essentially a bugging–Morrison is unbowed. In an op ed in Salon.com he was defiant saying he’d do it all over again, illegal or not.

Activism, Not Journalism? Radical Filmmaker Laura Poitras Shares Washington Post Byline on NSA Story

The Washington Post recently made waves with a story on the National Security Agency’s domestic data mining project “Prism,” but interestingly one of the co-authors of the article is a radical, left-wing filmmaker who has been a loud critic of U.S. counterterrorism policies.

The article, “U.S., British intelligence mining data from nine U.S. Internet companies in broad secret program,” authored by former Post writer Barton Gellman and filmmaker Laura Poitras, is a bold expose of the NSA’s domestic surveillance program.

While Gellman is certainly to be considered a “journalist,” Poitras is more of an activist who has quite a history of criticizing the United States since the attacks on September 11, 2001. She has, for instance, called the detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba an “illegal” prison and has called treatment of suspects “legalized torture.”

It is clear that she is an activist, not a journalist. Yet nonetheless here we see the Post giving her a byline on a straight news story.

In a story that reads like a gushing profile article on an exciting new business venture, The New York Times reported on the vast growth and technological advancement of the National Security Agency’s data mining capabilities.

The June 8 piece titled, “How the U.S. Uses Technology to Mine More Data More Quickly,” is filled with seemingly positive comments on the NSA’s new advancements, longer reach, and secret operations. There’s barely a hint of the sort of condemnation the paper was filled with during the Bush years when outcries against “domestic spying” were all the rage.

The Times says NSA’s capabilities are built on a “revolution in software technology,” and is “undergoing rapid expansion in order to exploit the mountains of new data being created each day.”

Liberal economist and leading modern Keynesian, Paul Krugman of The New York Times, has been one of Barack Obama’s biggest cheerleaders, but suddenly he is a bit down on the Obama administration saying that he is afraid that the country is becoming an “authoritarian surveillance state.”

With a mounting list of scandals from government-sponsored intimidation of the President’s political enemies, to surveillance of reporters, to a growing list of communications companies allowing government intelligence agencies access to all of our personal phone calls, Internet searches, and text messages, this must be a confusing time for the President’s most ardent supporters. Krugman’s reaction here is an example of that turning of the head.

For Krugman, with latest news about the massive collection of data on everyday Americans he sees the United States of America drifting toward authoritarianism.

Once again Democrats tried to get a bill passed in the House of Representatives to fund an expansion of U.S. prisons in order to house terror suspects in the U.S. heartland instead of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. As in years previous, however, the measure was defeated.

On June 4 the House shot down an amendment introduced by Representative Jim Moran (D, Vir.) to the military construction spending bill (H.R. 2216) that would have allowed the move.

Moran’s amendment would have struck out language that prevented the construction funds from going to any U.S. prison in order to house detainees now housed at Guantanamo. Moran insisted that the “best place” for accused terrorists is right here in the United States.

“The best place for them to be housed and then tried is in the United States,” Rep. Moran said. “The continuance of the Guantánamo Bay facility represents an immediate security threat to the United States because it is a rallying cry and a recruitment tool for our enemy.”

Moran’s amendment went down to defeat in a 170-254 vote. Every Republican except one voted against the amendment and the Democrats voted 169-25 in favor.

A coalition of 27 Congressmen have joined together to sign a letter urging the Department of Justice and Attorney General Eric Holder to rescind an order to deport a German family whose only crime was to homeschool their children.

In 2008 German citizen Uwe Romeike, his wife, and five young children fled Germany and took up residence in Tennessee because in their homeland, homeschooling children is a crime. The penalties are so stiff that the Romeikes faced having the government take away their children.

So, the Romeikes moved to Tennessee to escape this oppression and in 2010 were awarded political asylum by a federal judge in the Volunteer State.

But this wasn’t good enough for Barack Obama’s Department of Justice. Eric Holder and his DOJ fought the awarding of political asylum for the Romeikes and took the case back to court.

New York Times: IRS Scandal Ignored Because of Rush Limbaugh

-By Warner Todd Huston

There has been much speculation in the media on why Obama’s current scandal of the IRS targeting conservative groups for attack didn’t come out last year when the initial flurry of reportage on the incident was seen. Well, The New York Times thinks it has the answer: it was Rush Limbaugh’s fault.

When the IRS finally admitted these last few weeks that it had, indeed, unfairly targeted conservative groups–most especially during the 2012 election cycle–many pointed out that this targeting was being complained about for some time. But why did the scandal just break big now, in May of 2013, when stories about it go back several years?

The paper of record pondered this very question in a May 21 piece by Michael D. Shear that places the blame on Limbaugh. It’s all because of “slutgate,” Shear claims.

The Times points out that in March of 2012, Representative Charles Boustany, Jr. (R, LA) held a hearing on the IRS targeting but the story got little traction. Shear quotes several parties to the effect that it was a “dog-bites-man story” in that the media wasn’t interested in talking about Tea Party groups complaining about the IRS.

So, what stories did hold the media’s attention during Boustany’s 2012 hearing? Rush Limbaugh’s media manufactured “slutgate.”

It was during the first week of March that Rush Limbaugh ridiculed abortion mill supporter Sandra Fluke for being a “slut” because she wanted the U.S. government to pay for her contraception.

The media, of course, went into a feeding frenzy on “slutgate” to the point that Rush eventually apologized for his over-the-top characterization of the abortionist. It was all the media could talk about at the time.

Obama’s Attorney General Hypocrisy: Alberto Gonzalez vs Eric Holder

In 2007 when Barack Obama was running for President the first time there was a controversy raging over whether U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez was right to accede to President Bush’s order to fire a handful of U.S. attorneys. Obama then criticized the AG for politicizing the office. Flash forward to 2013 and he’s now standing up for an AG that is far worse than what he claimed Gonzalez ever was.

The controversy over Gonzalez was a manufactured, fake, left-wing nothing of a controversy, of course, because U.S. attorneys serve at the President’s discretion and many presidents have fired theirs. Clinton fired all of his and even Carter fired one for “political reasons.”

In any case, then Senator Obama went on CNN’s Larry King Live to rip Bush and to say that his AG was acting too politically.

Obama criticized AG Gonzalez for seeming to think his role is “being the president’s attorney instead of being the people’s attorney.” Obama also claimed that Gonzales should be fired because he wasn’t “somebody who was actually trying to look out for the American people’s interests.”

WaPo/ABC Poll: Obama Lying About Benghazi, IRS Targeting ‘Inappropriate,’ Media Still Distrusted

A new poll conducted jointly by The Washington Post and ABC News revealed some interesting trends. Among other findings, more Americans feel that Obama and his administration are lying about Benghazi, a majority feel that the IRS acted inappropriately by targeting conservative groups, and the media is still distrusted with a majority feeling that the Justice Department’s seizure of the AP’s phone records was justified. Despite all this disapproval, Obama’s approval rating is still just over 50 percent positive.

An important metric in the ABC/WashPost poll was the question of whether or not government is doing more to protect or threaten our rights. 54% felt that the government had become a threat to our rights while only 34% said that the government was acting properly to protect our rights. The American people’s faith in government is at low ebb.

This distrust is echoed when the poll turned to the specific cases of Benghazi and the IRS.

55% said that they feel that Obama is trying to cover up what happened during the terror attacks on our facilities in Benghazi, Libya on Sept. 11, 2012. Only 33% felt he was honestly disclosing what he knew.

In the investigation, Fox News’ James Rosen was fingered by the DOJ not as just a reporter getting “classified” information, but an “aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator.” This is such a shocking charge that even The New Yorker has come to Rosen’s support.

The focus on Rosen was reported in the Washington Post on May 20 with the paper wondering if the Obama administration’s goal was to intimidate reporters. The Post also said the investigation went nearly to the point of criminalizing standard news-gathering.

For The New Yorker, this is all quite chilling.

CNN’s Crowley Admits Obama Didn’t Call Benghazi a Terror Attack

On the May 19 broadcast of CNN’s State of the Union, host Candy Crowley said that Obama was late in identifying the attacks in Benghazi as terrorism quite contrary to what she said during the Presidential debates late last year.

As Crowley questioned White House spokesman Dan Pfeiffer, she pressed him on whether or not the President was aware of the Benghazi talking points being written and re-written by the Department of State and the intel community, re-writes that eventually eliminated any mention that the attacks were perpetrated by terrorists.

In reply, Pfeiffer blithely told Crowley that “no president” would get involved in writing talking points like that.

Crowley went on to point out that Obama was late in calling it terror saying, “in an interview on CBS–which we later learned after the election–but a week and a half after Susan Rice was on [the Sunday shows calling the attack a reaction to a Youtube video] he did say he wasn’t sure if it was a terrorist attack.”

Pfeiffer the somewhat quixotically replied that, “no one was sure at that point.”

Crowley countered that saying “well, no the president, first of all in Libya they were sure of it and the CIA seemed pretty sure of it!”

Politico has declared embattled Attorney General Eric Holder untouchable after the many scandals, lapses, overreaches, and contempt charges have failed to induce the President to fire him.

After noting that politicians have been calling for his ouster for years, Politico says that “after years of trying to get Holder, the attorney general doesn’t seem at all worried” that he’ll be fired from his position as chief law enforcement officer of the United States of America.

Quoting only Holders friends on the direct question on the AG’s current status, presenting Holder as but a fall guy for Republicans to beat up on because they can’t attack the President directly, and saying that the GOP has no “discipline” and has repeatedly made claims that were “overblown or just plain goofy,” Politico says that he’ll be able to hold his job for as long as he wants to be there and with the President’s full support.

A new law that was originally meant to strengthen the privacy of your email was recently re-written to allow government more access to your private emails and other digital files.

When H.R. 2471 went to the Senate, Democrat Senator Pat Leahy quickly rewrote the whole thing to allow federal policing agencies to have the power to search your digital files without a warrant.

As CNET reports it,

Leahy’s rewritten bill would allow more than 22 agencies — including the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Communications Commission — to access Americans’ e-mail, Google Docs files, Facebook wall posts, and Twitter direct messages without a search warrant. It also would give the FBI and Homeland Security more authority, in some circumstances, to gain full access to Internet accounts without notifying either the owner or a judge.

This is, of course, an example of the government going too far for security. And you know the old saying so often attributed to Ben Franklin, “Those who would trade in their freedom for their protection deserve neither.”

Also, I can’t stress more, here, that is the Democrats doing this. This is not a GOP effort.

This video is a perfect example of the essential lawlessness of the Obama administration.

There are some things that are essentially a basic truth. Murder is always wrong. Rights must be safeguarded. And violations of rights must be prosecuted. Also, the U.S. Department of Justice should always, always be zealous in the scheme of protecting those rights.

But not to Obama. No, to Obama the DOJ is only a political office, one that operates on no essential truths.

In this case, Congressman Trent Franks (R, Ariz.) asked an official of Obama’s DOJ if his office would vow to protect our Constitutionally guaranteed religious freedom.

This DOJ stooge refused to do so.

Promises, Promises: The Reality of Campaign Speak

As the campaign cycle progresses we are going to hear a lot about what one candidate or another is going to do about this or that. We will, to the point of weariness, be inundated with campaign promise after campaign promise, albeit, between gratuitous attacks, both political and personal. This is politicking and the American electorate – for better or for worse – has come to accept a certain amount of it from the people in the political class. But expecting grandiose pledges and believing in the unattainable, well, those are two different things. It is the truly foolish who believe half of what a political candidate says he can deliver, and the blame for that foolishness must fall on the shoulders of the individual voter.

While Presidents sign legislation into law, it is Congress – the House and the Senate; the Legislative Branch – that actually crafts and passes legislation. Therefore, any promise made on the campaign trail by a presidential candidate, be it by the incumbent or the challenger (or the field of candidates vying to be the challenger), is subject to the debate and acquiescence of those in the Legislative Branch; in Congress. It is because of this that any promise made by a presidential candidate must be received by the voting public as more of an intention, rather than a promise. To accept a campaign promise as an impending reality is to set oneself up for almost certain disappointment. And to blame a successful candidate for not living up to those campaign promises requires a level of certainty that the promise was actually ignored, not thwarted.

A good example of campaign promises thwarted comes in the form of the Republican TEA Party supported congressional freshman class who, during the 2010 Mid-Term Elections, promised to “repeal or defund Obamacare” and to “bring fiscal responsibility to Washington.” Each of those elected sincerely believed that they would be able to succeed in doing what they promised. In fact, HR2 of the 112th Congress did, in fact, attempt to repeal Obamacare and many of the TEA Party supported members of the House took it straight on the chin during the debt, deficit and budget debates. But for all of their good intentions and actions, the freshmen Republicans of the 112th Congress learned that unless you have a veto-proof majority in the House, a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and a friendly inhabitant in the White House, absolutes in campaign promises do not exist.

The same must be said about the Executive Branch and the President of the United States, although he has some additional quivers in his pouch where getting his way is concerned: the bully pulpit (self-explanatory) and the Executive Order.

O’s Gun Show: Fast & Furious = Bowling for Columbine

December 27, 2011 | Filed Under Barack Obama, Crime, Daniel Clark, Democrats/Leftists, DOJ, Eric Holder, Ethics, Liberals, Mexico, President | Comments Off

-By Daniel Clark

At their 2004 national convention, the Democrats honored Michael Moore by seating him right next to former president Jimmy Carter. If that was outrageous, it was nothing compared to the fact that the next Democrat administration would conduct itself as if it were producing one of Moore’s phony documentaries.

A scene in Moore’s anti-gun film Bowling for Columbine depicts him opening an account at a Traverse City, Michigan bank that offers a free rifle to each new customer. After filling out some paperwork, he exits the building, victoriously hoisting his easily obtained firearm overhead. Like everything else in Moore’s movies, that’s not exactly how it happened.

The bank, which was also licensed as a gun dealership, administered background checks, after which it would issue vouchers redeemable for rifles kept in a vault at a remote location, about 300 miles away. Moore had already opened his account and passed his background check long beforehand, and arranged to have his gun delivered to the bank for the purpose of shooting the scene.

Moore was allowed this departure from the usual procedure because the gullible manager was eager to cooperate with what the congenitally dishonest filmmaker had told him was a story about innovative business practices. In exchange for having done him this favor, the bank and its employees were lied about, and turned into objects of derision.

AG Eric Holder: Death of a US Border Agent? Pffft, Just Racist My Opponents Playing ‘Gotcha Games’

Obama’s policy of forcing US gun shops in the southwest to sell American guns to Mexican narco-terrorists has already killed one for sure and maybe two U.S. law enforcement agents. Obama’s Operation Fast And Furious is also responsible for selling the guns that were used to kill well over 200 Mexican citizens. And as far as U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is concerned, even talking about the disastrous policy is merely engaging in “gotcha” politics and — naturally — raaaaaacim. I guess the murder of US law enforcement agents don’t mean much to Eric Holder, our nation’s chief law enforcement officer?

In his appearance in Austin, Texas early last week, Holder whined that attacks on his incompetence is just politics meant to get at himself and Obama because they are black, an idiotic claim on its face. No one has argued that “the black Holder” should resign but all who’ve called for his resignation have substantive reasons. On Tuesday, December 13 a rally was held near the LBJ Library at the University of Texas, Austin to highlight the attack on election reforms launched inside by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. Holder went to Texas to denounce the Lone Star State’s voter ID laws and claimed that simple voter ID laws were somehow discriminatory. Holder ominously claimed that he would use the power of his office to “enforce civil rights protections” during the upcoming 2012 elections.

Outside the LBJ Library nearly 200 citizens gathered to hear a multi-racial panel of six speakers denounce Holder’s partisan attempts to push the administration’s agenda to turn a blind eye to continuing voter fraud that consistently favors candidates from the Democrat Party.

The rally was sponsored by the Houston-based True The Vote, a grass roots voter integrity project staffed by volunteers. True The Vote is a nation-wide organization that has affiliates across the country, every day citizens interested in the integrity of the elections in their home district.
