As the nation and the world closes in on Earth Day, April 22nd, a tsunami of Green propaganda will overwhelm us with all the usual lies about global warming—now called climate change—and calls to reduce the use of all fossil fuels in order to reduce “greenhouse gas” emissions.

This Big Lie ignores the fact that there is no relationship between carbon dioxide (CO2) and the climate. CO2 reacts to climate change. It does not drive it. The Big Lie ignores the fact that the Earth has been cooling for fourteen years.

The past three and a half years of the having Barack Obama as President have been filled with constant crisis, not the least of which was the nation’s financial crisis which he constantly reminds us he “inherited.” He has not, however, solved it with proven ways to put millions back to work and turn around a stagnant economy.

Instead he devoted his best efforts to a takeover of one-sixth of the nation’s economy, the healthcare industry. His administration has waged a steady war on access to energy reserves vital to the nation’s economy. The result of these policies are being felt at the gas pump as prices rise to historic highs while billions of barrels of oil in the U.S. remain underground.

Is “John Carter of Mars” really as bad a film as critics suggest? Or is it that the story makes the unforgivable suggestion that there are malevolent, largely unseen, elements orchestrating the rise and fall of great powers as they plot the world’s overall destruction?

The head of the NAACP is flying to Switzerland to sing to a UN human rights organization of how nobody knows the troubles he’s seen. It seems laws in America requiring not only that shiftless deadbeats must show identification but that also make provision for state personnel to chauffer you to get your idea are an atrocity of near historic proportions. Wouldn’t UN efforts be better directed at investigating other alleged outrages such as the forced virginity examinations in Egypt?

A Gingrich campaign ad mocks Mitt Romney by insinuating that the former Massachusetts governor isn’t the type to pump his own gas. And you are going to tell me Gingrich pumps his own regularly? And what about Gingrich’s high maintenance ball-and-chain? Didn’t he about go into bankruptcy trying to placate her with fancy trinkets?

When Barack Obama first won the White House, gun sales soared because supporters of the Constitution rightfully understood that Barack Obama is a gun-banner at heart. They feared he’d attack their Constitutional rights and begin a long trail of legislation or regulatory efforts to ban guns.

Everyone has been surprised — including Obama’s own supporters — that he has not done anything to advance the anti-gun issue. Even going so far as to line up in favor of some gun issues (such as allowing guns in national parks).

In fact, looking back through recent political history shows that Democrats have practically given up pushing their gun-banning ideas on the electorate. Proof of this is the fact that every state but one (Illinois) now has some sort of shall issue law on the books, Democrats having given up fighting to stop it all.

Why Progressive Obama Believes He’s Correct

The furor surrounding President Obama’s recent comments about the authority of the United States Supreme Court to overturn enacted legislation brought consternation from many a constitutional scholar as well as at least three federal appeals court judges from the Fifth Circuit, who demanded a clarification from Attorney General Eric Holder. To his credit, Mr. Holder responded to that demand with a two-and-one-half page letter stating that “the power of the courts to review the constitutionality of legislation is beyond dispute,” although he did throw in a dash of arrogant positioning in adding that the power to do so should only be exercised in “appropriate cases,” and that legislation passed by Congress should be “presumptively constitutional.” Arrogance aside – audacity aside – Mr. Obama and Mr. Holder are but two of the Progressive ideologues in the current administration who truly and honestly believe they are correct in their understanding of the US Constitution.

Mr. Obama allowed for his true beliefs about the pecking order under the US Constitution to come forth on Monday when he said:

“I’m confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress…And I’d just remind Conservative commentators that for years what we’ve heard is the biggest problem on the bench was judicial activism or a lack of judicial restraint, that an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law. Well, this is a good example. And I’m pretty confident that this court will recognize that and not take that step.”

He added, the following day, that the court had traditionally shown “deference” to Congress and that “the burden is on those who would overturn a law like this.”

Andy Andrews, the author of ‘How Do You Kill 11 Million People: Why the Truth Matters More Than You Think’ was a guest on the Mike Huckabee show recently. As expected Andrews was asked to explain the title of his book and to give a succinct summary of the answer to the question his title imposed.

Like many people Andrews spent years pondering the question of why and just how 11 million people would become so docile as to actually look complicit in the planning and execution of their own deaths. Why would so many line up to be hauled away by the Nazis in crowded boxcars, without putting up great resistance or a fight to save their own lives.

Andrews uses no deep philosophical construct to answer the question. He offers the simplest answer and under any level of reasonable scrutiny we suddenly know he has hit the nail squarely on the head. His answer in all of its glorious simplicity is, “They were lied to.”

Countering Left’s Lie: Reagan was NOT an Abortion Supporter

Obama supporters and leftists this week launched another great lie on the American people. This time they are attempting to claim that Reagan is somehow not as “extreme” as Romney because Reagan was an abortion supporter. But this claim is simply not true. It amounts to a misconstruction of both Reagan’s and Romney’s history most especially Reagan’s considered opinion on the subject.

As to Romney, while leftists are saying that Reagan’s early support of abortion is not as “extreme” as Romney’s current stance against abortion, Romney’s supporters are saying that he’s actually just like Reagan because both once supported abortion but ended up changing their minds coming to stand firmly against the practice.

So, which is it? Are the leftists right that Romney is more extreme than Reagan or are the Romney supporters right that he’s just like Ronald Reagan?

Actually, neither is true, at least on the abortion issue.

Certainly Romney is not anywhere near a true conservative, so calling him some sort of extremist in the first place is absurd. At best he’s a moderate with a gubernatorial record that leans a tad left in many areas. But he certainly is far, far more conservative than Obama, the most Marx-inspired president in American history. On that basis alone Romney is the best candidate for 2012.

Getting back to Reagan’s history with abortion, it is misleading in the extreme to cite his early support of abortion as if it is at all defining.

Jon Zahm is hoping that the powers that be will draft Kyle McCarter to fill the about to be vacant — and redistricted — 13th Congressional seat now that Representative Tim Johnson announced that he isn’t going to run for reelection after all (despite that he just won the nomination only a few weeks ago).

With Johnson stepping down but the primaries already over, this means we have no candidate. That being the case the candidate that faces the Democrat in November will be appointed by the State Party to run for the office.

This week we’ve discovered that Jerry Clarke, a little known congressional aide, has announced that he wants the appointment and many assume the establishment GOP will just hand it over to him despite that Clarke has no electoral history and no real resume other than being buddies with the establishment types.

Party Chairman Pat Brady told the press that he will be “fair” with this process, a process that includes his cousin, Dan Brady.

Media Caught Peddling Left-Wing Narrative in Place of News

There are several things in common that recent stories about a San Diego City Councilman who is running for Mayor have and truth doesn’t seem to be one of them. In fact, these stories are so similar that one is tempted to think that those columnists and “reporters” that wrote these stories had a bit of, um, “help” writing them.

At least three stories, one by David Brooks of the New York Times, one by LA Times columnist George Skelton, and one by partisan Huffington Post blogger William Bradley, all seem to be selling the exact same talking points — and ignoring all the same facts — on San Diego City Councilman and Mayoral candidate Carl DeMaio. The three pieces are eerily similar, most especially in the missed truths, accidental, I’m sure.

The central point of each of these stories where DeMaio is concerned is to relate that he is a hard-core, right-wing, Social-Con whose candidacy is the result of the GOP moving “further to the right” than ever. This is, apparently, to show that even on the left coast where “moderates” supposedly reign, the GOP can’t stay in the mainstream of the local political scene.

‘We the People’ Decide Who is Electable – Not the Media

The term ‘electability’ has become a catch word in this primary but under scrutiny it is easy to see that it is misused sometimes and generally over used at all times. With Gingrich falling to single digit results in the recent primaries and perennial candidate Ron Paul hanging on by a thread in most states it is apparent that voters don’t care what the newsmen and commentators have to say – they plan to vote the way they want to. Isn’t that the way it is supposed to be?

In a climate where after three years of a president whose particular religious beliefs are still in question, the desire to know a candidates real beliefs has never been greater. Recent polls determined that 53 percent of Rick Santorum’s supporters believe that religious beliefs should temper a leader’s decision making process, as opposed to only 28 percent of Romney’s followers.

There is no system of checks and balances to determine a candidates religious leanings and how they might affect his decision making, but there is plenty of information about each candidate’s particular religion.

Is Christian Resistance Ever Right?

Bible Christians (as opposed to churchy “Christians”) have always known that they must obey God in all things. The Bible has precedence over all authority! However, most Christians have never considered the possibility of disobeying authorities when those authorities become oppressive. We have been taught that if it is law, it is right and should be obeyed; however, that is simply not true as proved with many Bible examples.

Frederic Bastiat, the French authority on law, wrote, “There is in all of us a strong disposition to believe that anything lawful is also proper. This belief is so widespread that many persons have erroneously held that things are just because the law makes them so.” But laws cannot make something just. It can make anything legal (abortion, homosexuality, etc.) but not just.

I am not obligated to resist every unjust law nor every unconstitutional law, but I am obligated to resist any law that conflicts with Bible principles such as a license to preach. The 55 mile per hour speed limit was a ridiculous law, but it did not conflict with the Bible. We are told it saved lives, but if officials really want to save lives, they could enforce a 35 mile per hour limit! (If government really wants to save lives, they would do something about liquor and drug laws, but don’t hold your breath.)

Lefty Group Calling for Disclosure of Conservative Donors has Felon as Advisor

Recently the Washington Post had a story about a coalition of left-wing advocacy groups calling for their counterparts on the conservative side to reveal all their donors even though the law does not require it. The Post feels the crusade is a bit odd since most of the lefty groups doing the complaining also don’t disclose all their donors. Even odder, the post itself doesn’t disclose that one of the representatives of the left-wing groups they quote is a convicted felon!

The story by Don Eggen talks about the “secret money” problem of the 2012 elections, laments the lack of transparency and disclosure of donors for many of these 501c3 and PAC organizations, and notes that the “liberal-leaning groups” that have allied to call for transparency on the right also don’t disclose their donors.

One lefty group in particular, though, fails this transparency test more than the rest. Sadly, even the WaPost doesn’t point out the fact that the representative from Americans United for Change that the paper quotes in the story is not only the husband of a vicious left-wing member of Congress, but is also a convicted felon.

Why Obama Will Lose in November

I received a campaign letter from Michelle Obama the other day. This is especially surprising because I am a registered Republican; hardly a likely prospect to contribute to her husband’s reelection efforts.

“Every day I learn about the challenges and the struggles—the doctor bills they can’t pay or the mortgage they can no longer afford,” said the text. The “fairness” theme, a socialist meme, was expressed. “American prospers when we are all in this together, when hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded, when everyone—from Main Street to Wall Street—does their fair share and plays by the same rules.”

The fact is, however, America has not been prospering for the last four years during which Barack Obama has been President. And everyone knows it. The U.S. sovereign debt rating was downgraded for the first time while he occupied the Oval Office. Federal spending (25% of GDP) is the highest since World War Two. Federal debt (67% of GDP) is the highest since just after the end of World War Two, and the nation has experienced, not only the longest recession, but the highest unemployment since the 1930s.

In the first nineteen months of his time in office, Obama added more federal debt than was amassed by all U.S. Presidents from George Washington to Ronald Reagan.

In a nation where Congress has already determined how much water your toilet tank can hold and whether you can purchase a 100-watt incandescent light bulb, the assertion of federal power is now so great and so unbounded that a case concerning the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), brought by 26 states will decide whether, in fact, there are any rights or powers left to the states.

What many Americans do not know is that the United States of America is composed of separate and sovereign republics, each with its own constitution. What has occurred, however, has been the erosion of states’ rights and with that, the gradual distortion of the nation’s central instrument of governance, the Constitution, to mean anything Congress wants it to say.

At the very heart of the Obamacare case the Supreme Court will hear Monday through Wednesday, March 26 through March 28, is the question of whether the federal government can coerce the states under the threat of withholding funds—in this case for Medicaid.

I have not tried to disguise my disagreement, distrust, disgust, and dissatisfaction with President Obama. While McCain would have taken America over the cliff, he would have done so at 65 miles per hour while Obama has done it at 100 miles per hour. Whatever the speed, we have gone over the cliff and are about to smack the bottom. This administration is the most incompetent, inefficient, irresponsible, immoral, and inept in U.S. history.

The only positive thing I saw in Obama’s election was that it was obvious proof that we are not a racist nation–except for the 93% of Blacks who voted for him because he was black (well, half black). Additionally, the pathetic insecure whites who voted for him for the same reason–color, not convictions or character is absolute proof of racism.

I thought that his election would remove the race card and we could all discuss, debate, and disagree in a civil, educated, and even gracious way. But that was not in the cards, but what is always in the cards is the race card that bigots pull out at every opportunity, especially when they can’t answer Conservatives. And frankly, even if his election were sufficient proof that we are not bigots, the results were not worth it. I would rather be thought of as a bigot than live in a totalitarian, socialist (Communist) state.

Two new voices have joined the growing chorus calling for the defeat of next June’s ballot initiative Proposition 29, a nearly $1 billion annual spending binge that threatens to cast California deeper into insolvency.

David Spady of Americans for Prosperity, a non-profit conservative political advocacy group, and Nick Johnson, of conservative website Red County, penned columns last week calling for the defeat of Proposition 29, the so-called California Cancer Research Act.

“Stop me if you’ve heard this joke before,” writes Spady in Flash Report. “Liberal politician with pet cause and bureaucracy-building desire packages up his or her idea, tells voters they can achieve some laudable goal ‘for free’ and takes it to the ballot. First Five Commission. Stem-cell research. High-speed rail. And now the latest in this sad line of ballot-box boondoggles: Proposition 29.”

James O’Keefe of Project Veritas released another undercover video at BigJournalism.com, this one showing that voters in Vermont could simply go to a polling place, give any name — for instance those of dead Vermonters — and be given a ballot.

As a result of the release of the video, Vermont officials had what can only be called a quixotic reaction. They want to prosecute the producers of the video instead of cleaning up their system.

Apparently it’s all sweetness and light, unicorns and fuzzy bunnies in the Youtube comments section of Obama’s new hagiographic, hack-u-mentary short directed by Academy Award-winning director David “star-struck” Guggenheim. Barley a cross word is seen there about the Obammessiah since most negative comments seem likely to have been deleted from the Youtube page leaving only the most sugary, sycophantic sap behind.

Such serious, probing comments as “YES we can, YES we did, Yes we Will !!!!!!!” [sic], “This generations Kennedy! His face belongs on money someday. I’m in!,” and “the best President….EVER!!!” grace the comments section of The Road We Traveled, the cheesy, dear-leader-like film made to flog Obama’s now six-year-long campaign for the White House.

There are teas for Obama, joy for Obama, prayers for Obama, thanks for the blessings he bestowed upon us from on high, grave warnings that without Obama we are lost, and, my particular favorite, the self-chastising comment that went: “Thank you, Mr President. I’m sorry that I’ve been impatient.”

Why the ‘Strategists’ Are Wrong About a Brokered Convention

To listen to the so-called “political strategists” on any number of Conservative-leaning news outlets, you would think that moving beyond June without a locked-in Republican presidential nominee would be tantamount to inaugurating Barack Obama to a second term. “It would be a catastrophe,” they scream, while insisting t hat one candidate or another drop out of the race in order to make it a “traditional” two-candidate race going into the heart of the primary cycle. And each time one of these “strategists” makes this “sky-is-falling” claim, the television show hosts nod their heads like bobble-head dolls on so many car dashboards and the radio show hosts initiate a string of “um-hmms’” that sounds like the clucking of hyper-active chickens. But what are they so afraid of?

Most “strategists” sign-on to Dick Morris’s theory (and Dick Morris actually is a bona fide political strategist by virtue of the fact that he has actually run a national campaign) that should the Republican Primary contest go down to the RNC Convention, there won’t be enough time to mount a cohesive and potent message to counter the mainstream media enabled, billion-dollar political bully pulpit possessed by President Obama’s re-election campaign. Truth be told, if the Republican candidates continue to employ a strategy of “win-at-all-cost,” slash-and-burn politics, a strategy they all have employed all too willingly so far, Mr. Morris has a fifty-fifty chance of being correct.

But this is a very different election cycle from any that we have experienced in our lifetime.

Now the very same accused criminal that Chicago Democrats wanted people to vote for in Tuesday’s primary is being pressured to to step down from his office now that he won — pressured by the exact same Democrat officials that told people to vote for him only three days ago. This particular story is a perfect example of how Democrats a). Don’t care what voters want, b). Don’t care if their elected officials are crooks, c). Would rather see criminals in office than see a single Republican win an election.

To recap: Derrick Smith was appointed by the party to take a State Rep seat left empty by another Rep that moved on to a different office. As soon as he got in that office he began soliciting a bribe to fill his pockets. The FBI arrested him and charged him with the crime. Up comes the primary and Chicago Democrats, including Congressman Danny Davis, told Chicago voter to vote for this crook anyway because a criminal in office is better than having any Republican, says Davis and his crook-supporting crew The primary arrives and this crook wins his election. And now that he won

The Democrats’ endgame is to muscle Smith off the ballot and out of the House. Gov. Pat Quinn and Secretary of State Jesse White on Wednesday called on Smith to resign; Davis said Smith should not appear on the November ballot.

Dear Conservatives: Romney Isn’t One of Us But We Still Hold The Power If…

Romney is not conservative. Anyone that says he’s conservative is only trying to convince themselves and is willfully ignoring not only Romney’s entire executive record when he was governor of Massachusetts, but ignoring all the tell-tale signs that his current conservative-tinged campaign rhetoric is just a show to get the nomination. Romney doesn’t mean a word of what he says. But we still hold the power to force him to stay on a more or less conservative path if he wins the White House.

How can I say Romney is basically lying to us?

Well, his executive record aside — which is clearly center left, not conservative — let’s not take my word for it all. Let’s take the word of his advisers.

On CNN on March 21, for instance, senior Romney campaign adviser Eric Fehrnstrom was asked about Romney’s strategy in the general should he get that far. Fehrnstrom was asked if there is a concern that the other GOP candidates have made made Romney “tack so far to the right that it would hurt him with moderate voters in the general election.”

“Well, I think you hit a reset button for the Fall campaign everything changes,” Fehrnstrom replied. “It’s almost like an Etch-A-Sketch, you can kind of shake it up and we start all over again.”

That’s right. Fehrnstrom is directly saying that all Romney’s conservative rhetoric today will be quickly jettisoned and he’ll be back to his moderate, center left ideals when he’s comfortably set up as the GOP nominee. This should surprise no one. There have been a lot of other things that shows Romney isn’t a conservative. His staunch support for Romenycare and his constant lies about how he never advocated it for a national model is another example.

In the last of my Challenger Series of videos made at CPAC this year, we have Jeff Semon. He is an impressive and serious young candidate for U.S. Congress from the Bay State, Massachusetts. He’s running to take the seat held by big-time lib Ed Markey.

Semon has been campaigning hard and says that in his opinion the voters in the 5th CD aren’t nearly as liberal as Markey is.

Incidentally, Semon is the fellow that created www.krugmaniswrong.com/ to nail extremist, left-wing NY Times columnist Paul Krugman to the wall.

Chicago’s and Suburbs GOP Primary Results, And More….

Here are a few of the results of last night’s primary race in Chicago and the surrounding areas. Unfortunately, for a city of millions, less than 30,000 dragged themselves to the polls to vote. Even more to Chicago’s shame, there are only just over a million people even registered to vote in a city of just under three million citizens!

Anyway, results can be found at the Chicago Board of Elections for the city and for the suburbs at Cook County Clerk’s Office.

First Congressional District
Donald E. Peloquin will face Democrat Bobby Rush (incumbent)

Second Congressional District
Brian Woodworth will face Democrat Jesse L. Jackson, Jr. (incumbent)

Third Congressional District
Richard Grabowski will face Daniel William Lipinski (incumbent)

Republicans did not put up a candidate in the Fourth District, Luis Gutierrez will continue in the Fourth

Fifth Congressional District
Dan Schmitt will face Democrat Mike Quigley (incumbent)

Republicans did not put up a candidate in the Seventh District, Danny Davis will continue in the Seventh

Eighth Congressional District
Joe Walsh (incumbent) will face Democrat Tammy Duckworth

Ninth Congressional District
Timothy C Wolfe will face Democrat Janice D. Schakowsky (incumbent)

Tenth Congressional District
Bob Dold (incumbent) will face Democrat Brad Schneider

Eleventh Congressional District
Judy Biggert (incumbent) will face Democrat Bill Foster

Other Congressional Seats

As to the other Congressional races, the big fight was between Don Manzullo and Adam Kinzinger for the reconfigured 16th District. Kinzinger beat long-time incumbent Manzullo and will be taking the nomination (and likely the Nov. election) for the 16th District.

It’s not often that this writer is willing to endorse a candidate. But I think it’s time to stand up in our support for Katherine “Evidence Tampering” Wessling. Ms. “Evidence Tampering” Wessling will appear on the April ballot for corrupt Board of Education member for the St. Louis Public Schools.

Not many members of the SLPS Board of Education can brag about expending so much in resources to prevent child abuse from being reported as Ms. “Evidence Tampering” Wessling. The prevention of lawful investigation of child abuse by State authorities has long been one of the top priorities of our dear old “Evidence Tampering.”

Only a few members of the Board of Education in the history of the St. Louis Public Schools can claim the level of corruption that Katherine “Evidence Tampering” Wessling brings to her duties as corrupt Board of Education member.

Ms. “Evidence Tampering” Wessling is the pro-choice candidate. With a known proclivity for the protection, preservation, and promotion of student / teacher sexual relationships, Katherine “Evidence Tampering” Wessling will ensure that teachers who are sexual predators will be able to engage in sexual relations with the student(s) of their choice. Not much could make our schools a happier place.
