Obama Admin. Again Warning That White ‘Militias’ are as Big a Threat as Islamists

-By Warner Todd Huston

Since the day his regime took over in Washington, Barack Obama’s blinkered “intelligence” agencies have been warning that it is white people, conservative groups, tea partiers, military veterans, and “militias” that are the real danger lurking in America and recently Obama’s FBI did it again claiming that “militias” (read white male gun enthusiasts) are looking to attack Muslims inside the USA.

In a report issued in May only to police departments and other law enforcement agencies, the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division insisted that “militia extremists” are looking to kill Muslims. The report goes on to cite two–yes only two–instances of “militia” leaders saying they are mad at Muslims and may want to target them.

No actual instances of this desire to attack Muslims has been seen, though. Only talk. Still, the FBI is all worried over Americans with guns.

An intelligence bulletin issued by the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division in late May warns that so-called “militia extremists” are likely to begin targeting Muslim institutions, including mosques and other religious facilities. The bulletin titled “Militia Extremists Expand Target Sets To Include Muslims” was obtained by Public Intelligence after being released to law enforcement in late May, just days before a planned “freedom of speech” rally outside a Phoenix mosque which attracted numerous individuals dressed in camouflage, tactical gear and carrying loaded assault weapons.

Based primarily on a “large body of source reporting generated mainly since 2013,” the bulletin states that militia extremists are “expanding their target sets to include Muslims and Islamic religious institutions in the United States.” The recent targeting of Muslims augments prior FBI analysis, contained in a January 2015 report, which found that “established militia extremists target government personnel and law enforcement officers, perceived threats from abroad, and individuals or institutions that seek to constrain Second Amendment rights.”

Another Obama Agency Says Conservatives More Dangerous Than Islamic Terrorists

-By Warner Todd Huston

Yet again President Obama and that coterie of anti-American cretins he calls his administration deems conservatives to be more dangerous and worth “watching” than Islamic terrorists. The newest attack on Americans unleashed by Obama is the announcement that the politicized Department of “Justice” is now investigating “far-right” activity on Twitter and other social media.

As The Washington Free Beacon reports, “The Justice Department’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) awarded Michigan State University $585,719 for the study, which was praised by Eric Holder, the former attorney general, earlier this year.”

“There is currently limited knowledge of the role of technology and computer mediated communications (CMCs), such as Facebook and Twitter, in the dissemination of messages that promote extremist agendas and radicalize individuals to violence,” the NIJ grant reads. “The proposed study will address this gap through a series of qualitative and quantitative analyses of posts from various forms of CMC used by members of both the far-right and Islamic extremist movements.”

Rand Paul to Sue Obama Over NSA Spying

-By Warner Todd Huston

Tea Party favorite and libertarian-minded Senator Rand Paul (R, KY) is suing Barack Obama over his misuse of the National Security Agency (NSA).

Senator Paul has announced that he is joining a class action lawsuit being filed against Obama’s NSA. He also noted that he is joining the lawsuit as an average citizen, not as a US Senator.

Arrogance: Obama Unveils New Portrait that is Dozens of Times Larger Than Washington’s & Lincoln’s

The U.S. Embassy in London has debuted a new portrait of President Obama that will now hang in one of the big halls in that facility. Strangely Obama’s arrogant head is hundreds of times larger than presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

In fact, the photo is rather spooky. Sort of like a Big Brother head looking out into the room. Certainly the arrogance factor is there as Obama’s gigantic Big Brother head is there spying on the room!

I don’t know about you, but I think if I were to go to this US embassy, the giant Obama face would scare the crap outta me!

Former Secret Service Agent Says Age of Obama is More Dangerous Than Ever

-By Warner Todd Huston

Dan Bongino is a former Secret Service Agent form Maryland who has a warning for the country: we are in more danger now than ever thanks to the failed Obama administration.

Bongino is running for Congress in Maryland’s 6th District (Dan Bongino’s campaign website) and appeared on Glenn Beck’s TV show on December 5 to talk about his race and the state of the country when he warned that the nation is going down the wrong path.

One of Mr. Bongino’s guiding principals is to base all his ideas for governing on whether or not those ideas are constitutional in the first place. That is the sort of novel thinking we need in Congress, don’t you think?

Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino.

But Bongino is sour on the growing police state in which we live and is ready to pare back the powers of the department of Homeland Security, the CIA and the NSA–or at least apply constitutional limits to their powers.

Mugging Gets Thwarted by ‘NSA Intern’

-By Warner Todd Huston

So, not everyone in Washington is an evil, dark “man in black” but maybe they want to be. Reports say a DC intern thwarted a mugging in Washington D.C. this week by pretending to be an NSA intern.

Of course the “thwarter” was the victim in this case. And a tiny one, at that. The Washington Examiner reports say that she “weighs a petite 95 pounds.”

According to reporter Tim Mak, the intern–who doesn’t work at the NSA–told the would be robber that she was a member of the NSA and if he stole her phone or hurt her in any way the NSA would track him down and… well, I guess she left the rest to the mugger’s imagination.

Big Brother Gathering Info on You as You Shop With Cameras on Store Shelves

-By Warner Todd Huston

Information and data is the key to success, so say many companies these days. The newest attempt to gather customer data is soon to occur in grocery stores that want to put surveillance cameras right on store shelves to watch shoppers and gather their shopping habits for further research.

DC News FOX 5 DC WTTG

A recent report by Fox DC says that by 2015 some grocery stores may have cameras right on store shelves aimed at watching how people shop in order to learn more about their habits.

The idea is being floated by the company that owns such food brands as Ritz Crackers, Nabisco, Chips Ahoy cookies, and other snack foods.

Shocking Report: NSA Even Spied on Their Own Loved Ones, Girlfriends, Neighbors

Shocking Report: NSA Even Spied on Their Own Loved Ones, Girlfriends, Neighbors

-By Warner Todd Huston

New reports have emerged showing that employees of the National Security Agency have misused their power to spy on American’s communication by keeping tabs on their own girlfriends, boyfriends, family members and neighbors, snooping into what they were doing in their daily lives.

The practice was so blatant that NSA employees had even coined a term for this type of spying: “Love-int.” This stands for “love intelligence,” as in information on loved ones.

It was recently disclosed that the NSA had broken privacy rules on nearly 3,000 occasions over just a one-year period, so imagine how many times they’ve abused their powers over the 10 years they’ve been building these capabilities!

There can be no better example than this of the old axiom, “absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Activism, Not Journalism? Radical Filmmaker Laura Poitras Shares Washington Post Byline on NSA Story

Activism, Not Journalism? Radical Filmmaker Laura Poitras Shares Washington Post Byline on NSA Story

-By Warner Todd Huston

The Washington Post recently made waves with a story on the National Security Agency’s domestic data mining project “Prism,” but interestingly one of the co-authors of the article is a radical, left-wing filmmaker who has been a loud critic of U.S. counterterrorism policies.

The article, “U.S., British intelligence mining data from nine U.S. Internet companies in broad secret program,” authored by former Post writer Barton Gellman and filmmaker Laura Poitras, is a bold expose of the NSA’s domestic surveillance program.

While Gellman is certainly to be considered a “journalist,” Poitras is more of an activist who has quite a history of criticizing the United States since the attacks on September 11, 2001. She has, for instance, called the detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba an “illegal” prison and has called treatment of suspects “legalized torture.”

It is clear that she is an activist, not a journalist. Yet nonetheless here we see the Post giving her a byline on a straight news story.

NY Times Talks Up NSA’s Expertise

-By Warner Todd Huston

In a story that reads like a gushing profile article on an exciting new business venture, The New York Times reported on the vast growth and technological advancement of the National Security Agency’s data mining capabilities.

The June 8 piece titled, “How the U.S. Uses Technology to Mine More Data More Quickly,” is filled with seemingly positive comments on the NSA’s new advancements, longer reach, and secret operations. There’s barely a hint of the sort of condemnation the paper was filled with during the Bush years when outcries against “domestic spying” were all the rage.

The Times says NSA’s capabilities are built on a “revolution in software technology,” and is “undergoing rapid expansion in order to exploit the mountains of new data being created each day.”

Paul Krugman: ‘We Are Kind of an Authoritarian Surveillance State’

Paul Krugman: ‘We Are Kind of an Authoritarian Surveillance State’

-By Warner Todd Huston

Liberal economist and leading modern Keynesian, Paul Krugman of The New York Times, has been one of Barack Obama’s biggest cheerleaders, but suddenly he is a bit down on the Obama administration saying that he is afraid that the country is becoming an “authoritarian surveillance state.”

With a mounting list of scandals from government-sponsored intimidation of the President’s political enemies, to surveillance of reporters, to a growing list of communications companies allowing government intelligence agencies access to all of our personal phone calls, Internet searches, and text messages, this must be a confusing time for the President’s most ardent supporters. Krugman’s reaction here is an example of that turning of the head.

For Krugman, with latest news about the massive collection of data on everyday Americans he sees the United States of America drifting toward authoritarianism.

Obama’s Intelligence Agency Looking to Hire ‘Digital Exploitation Specialist’

-By Warner Todd Huston

The National Security Agency (NSA) has been in the spotlight since news broke that the agency has been collecting massive amounts of data from everyday Americans and with some of the worst timing ever, the NSA is now advertising for new employees for positions as “Digital Exploitation Specialists.”

According to the NSA job description, the duties of the job are to “perform discovery and target technology analysis of digital network and mobile communications.”

The job opening was advertised on Twitter on June 6.

Just as the agency is under suspicion of being the biggest domestic spies in American history, the agency posts job openings for even more such people. This only days before an NSA whistleblower came forward to detail what many is proof of the over zealousness of the spy agency.

And as millions of Americans are losing their jobs, their insurance benefits, or finding their career stagnate in paralysis, the NSA seems to have a pretty sweet starting salary range for these Digital Exploitation Specialists. They’ll be making between $42,209 and $81,204 annually.
