We Need a New Declaration of Independence for a New Revolution

America is fast coming to a crossroads from which there will be no return if we take the wrong path. Do we take the road that leads away from America and toward a Euro-esque way of governing? Do we cast aside our American character and bury our great nation in a grave of socialist-styled authority? Do we damn our progeny to a failed superstate that violates every tenet of our original ideals?

I say we do not. I say we reject the Democrat’s Euro-esque ideas and refocus ourselves on American exceptionalism. Our federal system has strayed far from our founding ideals and we may soon find that it’s time for a new Declaration of Independence from a tyrannical government that has usurped power from proper authority.

Since it is Independence Day this weekend, I offer this new Declaration as a rallying cry to all those willing to return to our true American character…

Liberals Are Succeeding in Making Young People Less Patriotic

A new survey shows that liberal schools are succeeding in destroying the patriotism of America’s young people.

This survey shows that young people are less likely to view the American Flag or other traditional images of the USA as something that makes them “feel good.”

As The New York Times reported,

Seventy-eight percent of the older generation consider their American identity to be extremely important. That drops to 70 percent for baby boomers (50 to 68 years), 60 percent of Generation X’ers (34 to 49 years), and only 45 percent of young adults define themselves this way. And while 94 percent of the Silent Generation say that seeing the U.S. flag flying makes them feel extremely or very good, only 67 percent of millennials muster the same affection.

John Adams’ Reminiscences of the First Independence Day

July 4, 2014 | Filed Under Declaration of Independence, Founders, Government, History, Holiday, Independence Day, John Adams, Warner Todd Huston | No Comments

John Adams was one of the truly indispensable men among our founding fathers. He was the man that wrote one of the first fully written out Constitutions in human history when he wrote the Constitution of Massachusetts. He wrote a seminal book on government that helped inform the founders of our nation, he was an ambassador to France and other European nations, he was our first vice president, our second president, and more.

In fact, Adams was at the center of one of the incidents that set the tone for our national character. When the Redcoats responsible for the Boston Massacre were put under arrest, John Adams stepped forward to represent the Redcoats in court. Many of his fellow patriots were amazed at this offer, some even incensed at Adams for doing so. But Adams said that the rule of law was far more important than merely making points with the home crowd and the Redcoats deserved to have competent representation.

Illinois Worst in Midwest for Private Sector Job Creation

I have been chronicling all the major failures of the once great state of Illinois and this week we have yet another one. A new tabulation of private sector job creation finds that Illinois created a dismal 500 non-government jobs in 2013 making it the single worst state in the Midwest and almost the worst in the country (again).

The Illinois Policy Institute put out its jobs report card recently and found Illinois to be one of the worst of the worst. It was the worst of the Midwestern region and the second worst in the whole country.

Obama’s Buttinski Trademark Board Hadn’t Received ONE Complaint About Redskins Name

Obama’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board which last month jumped into the debate about the evils of the football team’s name and summarily declared the name “Redskins” to be “offensive” has now admitted that there was no cause for its actions.

This shows how Obama’s government is a left-wing, activist government that does not respond to we, the people, but actively looks for ways to tear down this country and remake it in their lord’s image. We now find out that when the buttinski trademark board that illicitly ruled that the Redskins name is somehow “illegal” didn’t have a single complaint from the public before the department made its activist ruling.

New Mexico Public Museum Broke ‘Separation’ Clause Law With Atheist Celebration

A museum in New Mexico used tax dollars to put on a celebration of Charles Darwin and atheism this year that has religious folks up in arms. And if the fight over religion is schools has any legitimacy at all, this museum should be slapped down for spending tax dollars on promoting the religious views of atheists.

The story comes from the Baptist Press which writes, “Two New Mexico scientists have alleged that a government-owned museum used tax money to denigrate religion and promote atheism at its annual Darwin Day celebration without giving believers in God an opportunity to present their case.”

A flier promoting “Darwin Day” at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science in Albuquerque — a division of the New Mexico state government’s Department of Cultural Affairs — listed New Mexicans for Science & Reason, the Humanist Society of New Mexico and Freedom From Religion, Albuquerque as cosponsors of the Darwin celebration in February, provoking to action New Mexico residents and scientists James Campbell and Michael Edenburn.

Like every other liberal, a board member of the notorious infanticide group NARAL has proven she hasn’t a clue what the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby ruling means by jumping to Twitter to suggest that women should have sex “in the glitter aisle” of every Hobby Lobby craft store in revenge for the ruling she neither likes nor understands.

NARAL board member Jessica Valenti displayed her ignorance for all to see with a June 30 Tweet saying, “Maybe women should organize a safe-sex fuck-in at every Hobby Lobby across the country. In the glitter aisle. JUST A THOUGHT.”

First of all it is pretty arrogant for her to claim she has the capability of having “a thought,” but I digress…

As LifeNews.com notes, Valenti was once a blogger for the mass baby murder advocates but has now become a board member.

Globaloney: NOAA Quietly Changes Warmest Year Back to 1936 Without Comment

Attempting to promulgate the theory of global warming, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) claimed that the year 2012 was the “hottest” year on record. This toppled the previous records set in 1936. But after being called on the false statistics, without saying a word about the change, NOAA very quietly returned 1936 to leader status.

Weather blogger Anthony Watts has a very detailed report on all the changes, re-changes, and alterations on the NOAA data, changes that keep the “hottest” year floating around from era to era. One wonders how if this is “science” that data can keep changing for years that are in the past, sometimes decades past?

Several years ago the Governor of Illinois decided with a fiat decision to hand his union buddies millions of free taxpayer dollars by suddenly forcing all private in-home healthcare workers to be unionized without their knowledge or approval. Today the U.S. Supreme Court said that Illinois was not allowed to do this.

The year was 2003 and Democrat Rod Blagojevich–who later went to jail for corruption–was the governor who decided that all Illinois citizens who get a stipend from the state to help them take care of their mentally and/or physically disabled family member must be unionized.

We already have a military. We already have a foreign service. We already have a national domestic police agency. We’ve had these things for over a hundred years. So, why does every last federal department need its own automatic machine guns and SWAT teams? Well, they don’t and one Congressman is finally speaking out and looking to disarm all these federal agencies that have unnecessary private armies.

Did you know that the Food & Drug Administration has machine guns and a SWAT team? Did you know even the Department of Education has that, too? We already know that the Bureau of Land Management does. So do the IRS, the USDA, and practically every other piddling, unnecessary federal department.

Congressman Cummings Hated the IRS Before Obama, Suddenly He Loves It

In a perfect example of the partisan lies uttered by Democrats, back in 1998 and ’99, Congressman Elijah Cummings (D, MD) was quoted ripping the IRS every way but Sunday. He hated the agency and thought it a corrupt mess. But now that Obama is in charge and his IRS is under suspicion of criminality, suddenly Cummings is singing the IRS’ praises.

Back in the 90s, Cummings was caught by the IRS with tens of thousands of dollars in unpaid taxes. He was also mired in major financial improprieties.

Back in 1997, Cummings was telling the media that the agency was a threat to the people and said that the IRS was a “horror story” to the rest of us..

In the book’s first week sales were not horrible, still they were nothing to get excited about. But by week two sales cratered and now it looks like “flop” is written all over this door stop. Sales fell by a whooping 43 percent in week two.

According to Becket Adams, “Excluding digital purchases, only 85,721 copies of Hard Choices sold in the book’s first week, and only 48,227 copies sold in its second week, according to Nielsen numbers.”

Virginia Betrayal: The Republicans’ False Claim of Party Unity

-By Warner Todd Huston

Yesterday I noted that it is time for conservatives to start planning the demise of the Republican Party and today, in Virginia, we get one more example of why this is a necessary action. We see it in what the GOP establishment did to Dave Brat, the man who beat Eric Cantor in this month’s primary, and it is a perfect example of how the GOP’s claim that party unity is important is simply a flat out lie.

Remember how this always works: When a conservative challenger loses a primary to an establishment Republican the GOP bigwigs run around urging the voters who voted against their establishment candidate to vote for their hack in the general. They say that conservatives must support their hack because of “party unity.”

These party hacks say that after a primary we must now patch up our differences and stand as one to defeat the Democrats and that our ideas will be incorporated with theirs in governance. We have to be one big happy family, they say.

Obama’s massive enlargement of the welfare state has just gotten bigger. For the first time ever recipients of disability payments have topped 11 million Americans.

As CNSNews.com reports, for the first time ever disability recipients increased from “10,996,447 in April to a record 11,004,507 in May, according to new data released by the Social Security Administration.”

“The number of Americans receiving disability benefits continues to exceed the populations of Greece, Tunisia and Portugal and is drawing closer to Cuba, whose population of 11,047,251 (as reported by the CIA) is just 42,744 more than the 11,004,507 Americans receiving disability benefits.”

Obama’s goal is to destroy this country. There is no other possible explanation for this. None.

With Thad Cochran it’s Time to Think Long Term About Destroying the GOP

The tea party movement is often accused of not thinking long term. In many cases this is probably a true accusation because most tea partiers think an election is a goal in and of itself. But with the underhanded, anti-conservative, un-American tactics of the GOP establishment that gave Thad Cochran a primary win in Mississippi, it is obviously time for the tea party to start planning the destruction of the GOP establishment.

Thad Cochran and his patrons allied with former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour did not run an honorable campaign. In the waning days of their campaign it was their strategy to lie about conservatives, throw the race card and scare vulnerable black voters with tales that the KKK would swoop down upon them if Cochran’s tea party opponent won the primary, dole out cash to voters for their vote, and tell them Cochran would increase free food stamps for them if they crossed over and voted in the GOP primary.

In short Haley Barbour and the senile Cochran perpetrated every low down, Democrat-styled trick to destroy a true conservative candidate just so they could remain in power. These so-called Republicans purposefully disenfranchised tens of thousands of Republican voters.

This one is pretty amazing. The US Supreme Court has delivered a unanimous slap to the President saying that his recess appointments were illicit. Even the court’s liberals said Obama was wrong on this.

If you are out of the loop, here is what happened: Obama wanted to make some extremely partisan appointments to the National Labor Relations board (NLRB) so that he could deliver even more pro union decisions in the disputes between labor and businesses that the NLRB is set up to adjudicate.

The U.S. Senate did not like his choices because the folks Obama wanted to appoint were obvious union shills that would further erode the NLRB’s status as an unbiased arbitrator between labor unions and the business sector (as it is supposed to be).

Illinois has earned its spot as the state with the worst GDP in the entire Midwest. So, once again we find that Illinois turns out to be one of the worst states in the country for nearly any and every metric that makes a successful state.

Michael Lucci of the Illinois Policy Institute pointed out in a recent blog post that Illinois ranks only above Missouri as the worst for GDP growth among the 12 Midwestern states in the survey.

“Illinois recorded the second-worst growth in gross domestic product of any state in the Midwest,” Lucci wrote, “according to this week’s release from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The Illinois economy grew by just 0.9 percent in 2013. Only Missouri grew slower, at a sluggish 0.8 percent.”

A teen in an advanced learning program at a California middle school was threatened with being kicked out of her program because she had a photo of her Air Force brother on a four-ring binder. This seems to be purely a case of another school being against the military.

The school, Golden Valley Middle School in San Bernardino, California, claimed that having photos on a binder broke the program’s policies. The girl, 13-year-old Brianna Gentry, also had photos of her little league ball team alongside the photo of her brother who is serving as a military policeman in Montana.

In an interview with KTLA TV, the girls said, “My brother’s very important to me. I haven’t seen him in a while.”

Officials at Brianna’s school told the girl that it was against the rules to have photos on her assignments binder and threatened to expel her from the advanced placement program called AVID.

A new book by science writer Nicholas Wade seeks to explore the possible connection between evolution and race but in a recent op ed the author points out that in some ways religious people have become more tolerant than those social scientists who think of themselves as being warriors against racism and ignorance.

The book, A Troublesome Inheritance: Genes, Race and Human History, is being attacked by those Ivory Tower profs in the social sciences. But with this attack they have proven themselves to have essentially become anti-intellectual and anti-science as the genome project expands humanity’s knowledge about the building blocks of our biology.

In a June 22 Wall Street Journal op ed, Mr. Wade seeks to expose the ignoramuses in the so-called social sciences.

But officials made no effort to discuss the issue with local residents ahead of time.

The town hall was called when residents found out about the government’s plans.

When President Barack Hussein Obama picked Joe Biden to be his number two man, we were all told that it was because good ol’ Joe was the U.S. Senate’s “expert” on foreign policy. He was supposed to act as Obama’s right hand man in an area that Obama had no experience whatsoever. So, with disaster after disaster in foreign policy, it behooves us to ask, where is Joe Biden?

Of course, we all know that Biden has been wrong on every stance he’s ever taken on foreign policy both as a Senator and as Vice President. He has been so consistently wrong that even a member of Obama’s own administration has said Biden is an utter failure on reading foreign policy.

In his recent book, former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said that Biden has been wrong about “nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”

It was a stark description that even the left-leaning PolitiFact said was “mostly true.”

Like all liberals, radio host Mike Malloy thinks that “the law” is essentially a meaningless concept and that because he is pure of liberal heart he should be allowed to do whatever he wants even if it is to file false police reports, bear false witness against others, and scare people by causing an illicit panic over gun owners who are following Georgia’s new open carry law.

Malloy claims to be a gun owner himself–another bit of hypocrisy, that–but he truly despises Georgia’s new open carry law. Despite that the Georgians among whom he lives have voted for the open carry law and despite that his narrow minded, anti-Second Amendment mentality is accepted by only a tiny minority of Georgians, Malloy claims he is ready to battle the open carry law by breaking the law himself… because, you know, he should only have to follow those laws he likes.

Media Malpractice on ‘New’ (Actually Old) Scott Walker Charges

When most of you woke up today you saw media coverage all across the country breathlessly “reporting” that Republican Governor Scott Walker was facing “new” charges that he engaged in a “criminal scheme” to illegally coordinate with outside groups during his 2011/2012 recall election. But the fact is, the allegations were all dismissed and this isn’t anything “new” at all.

The “news” that occurred on Thursday is that groups suing the state for its unfair and illicit investigation asked a judge to release documents pertaining to the invalidated “John doe” investigation. So, the “charges” that were reported as if they were new on Thursday night and all day Friday are not “new” charges at all. They are just old charges being made public for the first time.

As I wrote at Breitbart:

The initial series of far-reaching investigations were declared at an end on March 2 of last year. It resulted in no charges being filed against the governor.

Despite the purported end of the investigation, though, prosecutors continued their attacks on Walker and his associates until by May of 2014 U.S. District Judge Rudolph Randa issued an injunction calling into question the legitimacy of the whole operation.

The information released Thursday came at the behest of the conservative groups suing officials for using the prosecutor’s office to launch a political campaign against them in violation of their rights to free speech.

So, as you see, these documents were released at the request of people who support Gov. Walker so that they can show the public how the state violated the law.

WIND Kicks Joe Walsh Off The Air, Station Refused to Allow Honest Discussion of Racism

Former Congressman Joe Walsh joined WIND AM 560 not long after he left Congress and has been doing a great, fearless job on the air. The station was even beginning to look into syndicating him. But now, because he tried to have an honest discussion about racism, the station got cold feet and suspended him until further notice.

Here is some of what the Chicago Sun-Times said today

According to posts on former U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh’s Twitter account Thursday night, the conservative radio talk-show host was kicked off the air on WIND-AM (560) for using racial slurs while trying to have a discussion about racial slurs.

In a series of tweets posted about 7 p.m., Walsh says: “Just got kicked off the air until further notice. Tried to have honest discussion about racist terms and management censored my language.”

And: “I’m trying to have an honest, adult conversations about words without resorting to alphabet soup phrases (C-word, N-word, etc).”

The posts said the discussion involved the ethical debate about the name of the pro football team in Washington, D.C.: the Redskins.

Joe’s show is from 5PM to 8PM weekdays.

You can follow Joe on Twitter at https://@WalshFreedom.

This is what Joe sent out on Twitter today: “Want to hear what I ACTUALLY said last night? https://soundcloud.com/am560theanswer/the-joe-walsh-show-june-19-2014.

Red Skinner: Obama Again Using ‘Regulation’ As A Weapon Against America

Barack Obama has become an expert at using his powers to regulate as a weapon to destroy Americans he doesn’t like. Just as he attempted to use the IRS to destroy conservatives, as he’s used the EPA to destroy our energy sector, as he used Obamacare to eliminate freedom of religion, Obama and his thuggish administration has now attempted to force a football team to stop using a name Obama doesn’t like.

On Wednesday Obama’s U.S. Patent and Trademark Office summarily eliminated the trademark protection for the Washington Redskins’ name and it was done purely for political reasons, not legal reasons.

Obama’s lackeys told the NFL team that their name was ‘disparaging” to native Americans and so the government canceled six federal trademarks for the team.

New York Middle School Assignment Shows Kids How to Kill a Baby

It appears that a middle school in New York is training kids in how to shake a baby so hard that it kills them with a hands on assignment where kids are forced to shake a mechanical baby until it stops crying–i.e. until they shake it to death–in a class unit on Shaken Baby Syndrome.

Lennie Jarrett of ChampionNews.net spoke to the parent of a middle schooler in Churchville-Chili Middle School in Churchville, NY, earlier this week and the parent said that his child was traumatized by having been forced to “kill” a baby in class.

The father noted that the kids were told that shaking a baby too hard could kill it and offered the example of a man who was in jail for shaking his own child to death. Then kids were ordered to symbolically kill a baby right there in class using a mechanical baby.

Illinois Ranks as ‘Worst’ For Small Businesses

Once again Illinois and California are neck-and-neck in the calculations for the worst of the worst U.S. states, this time in a measure of how friendly the states are for the growth of small businesses.

Earlier this month thumbtack.com released its third annual survey of the climate for small businesses exploring such ratings as the overall friendliness of the state to small businesses, the ease of starting a business, regulations, ease of hiring new employees, taxes, and other criteria.

The poll was conducted among over 12,000 small business owners across the country.

The survey, held in conjunction with the Kauffman Foundation, found that the worst states for small businesses were California, Rhode Island and Illinois, all of which got a Thumbtack “F” rating. The next worst were Connecticut and New Jersey, both of which received a “D” grading.

Illinois has descended in its rating each of the three years that the survey has been conducted having earned a “D+” in 2012, a “D” in 2013, and an “F” in 2014.

Dear America, a father is needed.

He should be strong of will, stout of heart, and serious in demeanor. He must love without being effusive. And above all he must lead by example. He must have a soft spot for his daughters and tough hand with his sons. He must love his wife and family more than his own comforts because he understands that the duties he accepted are more important than momentary amusements.

We want a man that will growl when their sons step out of line, the kind of fellows young boys don’t want to cross not necessarily out of fear, but because they are loath to disappoint the old man. Give us a man who will happily show his gun collection to his daughter’s first boy friend. Let us have the man who those boyfriends can’t imagine calling anything other than “sir.”

Unfortunately, he is exactly the sort of man that liberals have targeted for elimination. Liberals hate words like maturity, protectiveness, patriarchy, and manliness.
