As CNN continues to search for new talent to spark its revival, new President Jeff Zucker is looking to Canadian talk show host George Stroumboulopoulos to come down from the Great White North on a mission to make it big in the states. Yes, CNN is importing a liberal from Canada because importing that liberal from Britain worked out so well.
Stroumboulopoulos, who mercifully goes by the nickname “Strombo,” hosts a TV show on Canada’s CBC where he cozies up to rock stars, talks art and movies, and ruminates about pop culture.
In its announcement of the move, CNN pledges that Strombo will bring to America his “fresh, thought-provoking style fuses big ideas, with art, pop culture, politics, news, sports, and celebrity.”
“We’re really pleased to bring this special series to CNN,” said Amy Entelis, senior VP for talent and content development for CNN Worldwide. “It is a good example of the expansion of the CNN strategy to bring new kinds of relevant and engaging programming to a broad audience.”

CNN Looking to Re-Launch ‘Crossfire’

In 1982, CNN debuted a current affairs debate show titled Crossfire. The show starred Tom Braden from the left and Pat Buchanan from the right in a raucous debate on the issues of the day. The show continued until 2005 when it was canceled. But now, CNN is hinting that it is considering a re-launch of the show.
Alex Weprin reported that CNN has not made any firm announcements, but that the cable news network is considering the idea. CNN is in the midst of a wide-ranging re-working of its programming as newly minted President Jeff Zuckerman tries to reverse years of failing ratings. Dominic Patten, however, claims his source says that CNN will re-launch the show in June, though he had no other information on hosts, times, or format.
The series originated from a Braden/Buchanan radio show which began in 1978 and over its twenty-three-year history, Crossfire had over a dozen co-hosts. The show was often criticized for its hard-charging style.
In fact, Crossfire ended only months after Comedy Central comedian Jon Stewart criticized the show for “hurting America” with its “miserable” example of public discourse.
Even though then, as now, Stewart indulged in the same “partisan hackery,” he exempted himself from any blame for “hurting America” claiming he’s “just a comedian.”
Nonetheless, Crossfire was canceled in 2005 after final conservative co-host Tucker Carlson left the network for a stint at MSNBC.

Even Piers Morgan Criticizes Obama Over Lavish Vacation Spending

On Wednesday, April 3, President Obama announced he would be returning 5% of his paycheck to the federal treasury in a show of shared sacrifice with federal workers facing furloughs because of the sequester. The news came as he once again flew about the country pushing his anti-Second Amendment policies and only days after another lavish vacation indulged by the first family was in the news.
Morgan lambasted Obama’s attempt to spread the pain of austerity to his own household calling it a “pointless exercise” and despaired that the President wasn’t doing something more substantive.
Morgan railed saying, “if he gave up the vacations, which are costing the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of dollars, it might have more impact than five percent of $400,000.”
But even here Morgan soft-pedaled the money the American people have spent on Obama’s many vacations.

Marking its first high profile hire, Al Jazeera has announced that it has hired CNN’s chief business correspondent, Ali Velshi, for its new Al Jazeera America cable network.
Al Jazeera America is preparing for a summer launch after having bought Al Gore’s Current TV network last December.
CNN President Jeff Zucker made the announcement in an April 3 staff meeting reporting that Velshi’s last day is April 5. Zucker assured staffers that the parting was amicable and that CNN was sorry to see him go.
“It’s been an amazing almost 12 years at CNN. Love it more today than I ever have, and CNN is going to be great under Jeff,” Velshi said. “I basically grew up here, so it’s sad to leave, but I’ve got a great opportunity to stretch some new muscles and grow something, and it appeals to my entrepreneurial side.”
That new opportunity turns out to be Al Jazeera. Upon Al Jazeera America’s launch this summer, Velshi will host an as yet un-named, “magazine-style,” half-hour weekend business program that is later planned to switch to weekdays.

It looks like the Sunday morning political shows got the same memo that Immigration is the topic of the day for April 7.
The big three networks and CNN are all hosting guests that certainly lean toward amnesty for illegals if not out right in support of the same.
- Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)
- Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
- Madeleine Albright, former Secretary of State
- Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
- Bill Richardson, former U.N. Ambassador and New Mexico governor (D)
- Michele Flournoy, former Undersecretary of Defense for Policy
CNN Opinion ‘You are a Bigot if You Oppose Gay Marriage’

CNN recently launched a new podcast project headed by Dean Obeidallah and in its second episode the trio of hosts pondered whether or not one is a bigot for opposing gay marriage.
Obeidallah, who bills himself as a “political comedian,” co-hosts the podcast with CNN commentator, GOP consultant, and gay rights activist Margaret Hoover and John Avalon, who is billed as a “centrist” despite that he is an employee of CNN and the left-wing Daily Beast website. There are no strictly conservative contributors on CNN’s new The Big Three podcast, but it seems apparent that gay rights advocate Hoover is supposed to be representing the right.
In this episode, Obeidallah wonders, “Is it fair to label a person a bigot simply for arguing that marriage should only be between a man and a woman?” Naturally he concludes that, yes, anyone that opposes gay marriage is a bigot.
To illustrate his point, the comedian contends that being against gay marriage is exactly like being against interracial marriage. This contention has been called a strawman argument by commentators such as Dennis Prager who notes that opposing interracial marriage was always a bigoted notion because there was no aspect of the proscription that wasn’t based merely on race.

Ted Turner’s son, Teddy, recently appeared on the Steve Malzberg show for a visit and when the topic turned to CNN, his dad’s cable TV network, he didn’t hold back. The network is “pretty much to the left,” Teddy Turner said.
The Turner scion then went on to note that because CNN is so far left, “I have a hard time watching them a lot of times.”
Teddy Turner also says he once warned the executives at CNN that the, “left is not the way to go in talk radio or in talk TV because that’s not who’s listening.”
(The segment is about 7:40 into the show.)
Media Attack Fox for Airing Teenage Rape Victim’s Name, Ignores That CNN, MSNBC, Others Did Too

Always looking to find some reason to smear Fox News, the website Raw Story slammed the network for airing the name of a 16-year-old rape victim in a March 18 broadcast of America’s Newsroom. But in its zeal to slap Fox, the website neglected to note that other news outlets did the same thing.
Just before noon on March 18, Raw Story reported that during Fox reporter Mike Tobin’s segment on the guilty verdicts in the Steubenville rape case that morning, the name of the victim was broadcast without being censored.
In its original piece, though, Raw Story did not point out that several other mainstream media outlets also aired the victim’s name and did so before Fox News did on Monday.
It has been a long-standing, voluntary tradition that reporters redact the names of rape victims and once Raw Story’s report began to circulate, several other websites jumped on the story to attack Fox for violating that sensible tradition.
By 2 PM that day, Huffington Post jumped on the bandwagon to slam Fox for airing the name of the victim. Not long after that, the progressive site Think Progress also moved to attack Fox over the lapse as did the left-wing site Jezebel.

Piers Morgan: We All ‘Need The Nanny State Occasionally’

CNN’s Piers Morgan sees no reason why America shouldn’t turn into a nanny state. During his March 11 broadcast, Morgan insisted that, “people need the nanny state occasionally.”
With guest Christine Quinn, on his late evening CNN talk show Morgan lamented what he felt was a bad decision by a New York judge who shut down Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s soda ban. Morgan was all in for a politician deciding for all of us what we are and what we aren’t allowed to eat.
During the discussion, Quinn said she disagreed with banning foods saying that the focus should be on expanding choice for healthy foods not just having government “say no” to the supposed bad choices. Interestingly, Quinn is a Bloomberg ally, a Democrat, and the President of the New York City Council, yet was still arguing against this particular nanny state action.
Regardless, Morgan, a British citizen, disagreed with his guest.
“This is where I disagree with you. I think people need the nanny state occasionally. Particularly on issues like smoking, drinking, guzzling sodas that are too big for them, you know, eating sixteen Big Macs a day, whatever it may be, the reality is we all need a bit of nannying about that that’s why so many people are on diets. That’s a form of nanny state,” Morgan said.
The CNN talker also took to Twitter to ask why Mayor Bloomberg’s nannyism is such a bad thing.
“If a Mayor can’t do things to make his city’s populace healthier – what’s the point of his job? Bloomberg’s 100% right on supersized soda,” he Tweeted on March 11.
Just as the soda ban was to kick in, New York state Supreme Court Judge Milton Tingling put a halt to the rule saying Bloomberg’s new ban was illicit because he went around the City Council to implement it.
The ban, Judge Tingling said, would “not only violate the separation of powers doctrine, it would eviscerate it.”
This is why so many Americans look askance at immigrants like Morgan. They come here and bring their socialist ideas with them from their armpit countries instead of coming here to learn how to be an American. Go back to Britain, Piers. Your socialist, nanny-state nonsense is not wanted here.

CNN Mocks Rand Paul’s Filibuster, No Wonder CNN is Losing Credibility

During a long stretch of the day in the U.S. Senate, Kentucky’s junior Republican Senator, Rand Paul, led a filibuster to decry the Obama’s administration’s seeming disregard of due process, the rule of law, and American’s civil rights. This, apparently, is funny to CNN. Makes one wonder why CNN imagines itself a news station!
Obama’s administration has admitted that it sees nothing inherently wrong with using flying drones to kill Americans here in our own country. This is something that Senator Paul and millions of other Americans (on both sides of the aisle, by the way) think is wrong.
As Obama’s nomination for a new CIA chief came to the floor, Senator Paul launched an old fashioned, talking filibuster to block the nomination in order to get his point across that killing Americans without due process, without proper warrants and trials is simply wrong.
This was something that CNN’s Erin Burnett thought was worthy of mocking.
Here is what CNN’s viewers were treated to during Burnett’s show…

California Senator Diane Feinstein appeared on Pier Morgan’s evening CNN show on February 28 to talk about her gun-banning bill that is currently on hold in the Senate Judiciary Committee. The interview ended in a gushing mutual admiration society as gun-banner Feinstein applauded gun-hater Morgan and vice versa.
“That gun culture is letting bad things happen,” Feinstein sonorously told Morgan at the tail of the interview.
“Well, you’re doing a fantastic job on this, Senator,” Morgan told her. “I absolutely applaud you and urge you to continue,” he added.
The mutual admiration continued as Feinstein said, “Oh, Piers, thank you.”
“You have been wonderful. Thank you so much for your help. It is uphill all the way,” Feinstein concluded.

CNN recently canceled Soledad O’Brien’s short-lived morning show, Starting Point, but the anchor is now saying she’s not at all unhappy about it.
“I think it has worked out best for everyone,” O’Brien told reporters.
The anchor reports that she realized she had creative differences with CNN’s new chief, Jeff Zucker, and complained that her show never got “a lot of support” from CNN executives during its one-year run.
This is a far different world than that when Starting Point debuted. Then Executive Vice President and Managing Editor of CNN Mark Whitaker said in a press release that the launch of O’Brien’s show was “an exciting time to be relaunching our morning show.”

Despite his opportunistic, nightly campaign against the Constitution of the United States of America, CNN’s Pierce Morgan’s ratings still aren’t so hot. In fact, even RuPaul beat him earlier this week!
RuPaul, whose real name is Andre Charles, is a well-known female impersonator and recently started season five of his show “RuPaul’s Drag Race” on cable network Logo TV.
Interestingly, RuPaul’s antics apparently drew more viewers than CNN’s Morgan did during the rating period for Monday, January 28.
A Wednesday Tweet by Internet giant Matt Drudge noted that RuPaul earned 565,000 viewers to Morgan’s 545,000.
The Logo TV network gears its programming to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community and is said to appear in but 41 million American homes. By contrast, CNN counts an audience of over 100 million U.S. homes not to mention more than 890,000 American hotel rooms and airport terminal screens from coast to coast.

In a strange exercise, CNN reporter Tom Foreman has written a letter to the president every day of his presidency and intends to continue doing so until the bitter end. Talk about obsessive behavior.*
Tom Foreman is one of CNN’s third tier reporters and is frequently seen covering a gamut of stories on “Anderson Cooper 360º,” “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer,” and other CNN shows.
Starting with his first letter on inauguration day in 2009, Foreman began his letter writing campaign congratulating President Obama and asking, “Do you have any idea what you’ve gotten yourself into?”
The creepiest aspect of this strange campaign is how Foreman ends nearly every letter pleading for Obama to give him a call. Thus far the President has not availed himself of that opportunity.

The left is scoffing at the belief held by Second Amendment supporters that their right to bear arms is in part meant to act as a check on tyrannical government. Government turning tyrannical is ridiculous, many leftists say. But isn’t this the most absurd hypocrisy because didn’t they build their entire lefty edifice on the idea that government has been oppressing everyone?
Only the most recent person making this claim is CNN’s Piers Morgan, a foreigner and British citizen. He is grasping at any argument in his attempt to destroy our Constitution. On ABC’s This Week former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm also made this false claim.
From the Civil Rights movement, to the 60′s era hippies and yippies and their riots, to constant racebaiting, gay advocacy, university affirmative action, racial quotas, even all the way to the last few years when the childish Occupy Wall Street “movement” started, all of these movements arose because the left claimed that government had been oppressing any particular voting constituency to which they wanted to appeal.

Morgan, Guests Don’t Understand Constitution, Don’t Care

Piers Morgan indulged his desire to gut the Second Amendment once again on his CNN talk show, and while most of his efforts were well ridiculed by Joel Pollak last night, one thing he brought up is a typical, though uninformed, question that many leftists illegitimately use to try and show why they should have all the power they want to ban any sort of weapon they feel like banning.
Early in Piers Morgan’s now seemingly daily discussion on guns, he once again garbled terms, misled on types of weapons, and basically displayed a woeful ignorance on the Second Amendment, as well as a lack of knowledge about what is already banned and why. It is that latter question that needs further discussion.
During the CNN show, Michael Nutter, the Mayor of Detroit, broached the question.
Michael Nutter: This is not about the Second Amendment. As you have said earlier I have said certainly many, many times, why does a civilian need a military-styled assault weapon, why does a civilian need body armor? You cannot buy hand grenades. Those are weapons but somehow they are prohibited. You can’t buy an F15 just because you think that you’d like to have that kind of device. So, we need to talk about more serious things…
Piers Morgan: We already have, actually, a lot of gun control in America. This is the myth of this debate. There’s already substantial gun control and commissioner let me ask you this, there’s lots of things are banned already it’s merely a question really of degree. And I have yet to hear a good argument for why an AR15, which is a military-styled weapon, why that should be in civilian hands?
Myth was a good word for Piers to use because he is promulgating one.

Piers Morgan has done it again, jumping into his anti-gun, anti-Constitution advocacy with both feet… in his mouth. Once again, Morgan took to Twitter to revel in his “civility,” this time ridiculing gun owners for being wary of the power of tyrannical government, scoffing that the Second Amendment won’t keep us all safe from a nuclear armed United States.
Morgan Tweeted his latest absurdist, misinformed Tweet on January 13: “America has over 5000 nuclear warheads. Quite hard to defend against a ‘tyrannical U.S. government’ with that kind of firepower. #GetReal”
So very vapid. Uninformed, ill thought out, and foolish all at once.
Are we to assume that Piers Morgan thinks that the only way governments ever trample on rights or oppress citizens is to “nuke” them?

For years Larry King hosted the CNN show that is now helmed by British import Piers Morgan. Now King has opened up about his replacement and his pronouncement is not very flattering. King thinks Morgan makes the show too much about Morgan.
For those who remember, Larry King was more about being a conduit for the guests to entertain and enlighten viewers. His idea, perhaps an old fashioned TV ideal, was to make the show less about Larry King and more about the guests his viewers tuned in to watch.
King was old school in that way. We never learned much about the life or personal opinions of Jack Parr or Johnny Carson when they were hosting the Tonight Show, either. Those two icons let the guests speak and made their shows about the entertainment. For the most part, Larry King modeled himself on that classic version of the TV interview show.
But Larry King was quick to point out that Piers Morgan isn’t like that at all. Morgan is more about Morgan than he is about the guests, King said.
“I never gave opinions,” King said of his own CNN show. “Piers gives his opinions. The show is a lot about him as much as the guests… He’s so different from me,” King lamented.

During his raucous interview with rabble rouser Alex Jones, CNN’s Piers Morgan unleashed several false gun statistics to show how wonderful his British homeland is for its gun banning ways. But Cincinnati’s Fox affiliate WXIX didn’t let Morgan get away with it thoroughly debunking the CNNer’s false stats.
With his January 8 “Reality Check” segment, WXIX’s Ben Swann completely undermined Morgan’s gauzy claim that Britain’s gun banning ways makes his countrymen safer compared to the wild west that is the U.S.A.
During the interview with Alex Jones, Morgan kept blathering about how Great Britain only had 35 murders with guns in 2011. That is compared to 11,000 murders with guns in the U.S. Morgan piously maintained that this made Great Britain’s laws better.
But Swann used real statistics to show that Morgan’s claims are misleading in general and just plain wrong in specifics.

Virulent anti-gun nut Piers Morgan is at it again with his wild-eyed hyperbole against guns. During an interview with former Marine Joshua Boston, Morgan claimed that AR-15 “assault rifles” are turning the U.S. into an “utter wild west hell.”
After Breitbart posted the story of Corporal Boston, USMC Ret., the media picked up on it and he’s since made the rounds of Fox News, various radio shows, and recently CNN’s Piers Morgan show.
Boston had written a letter to gun-grabbing Senator Dianne Feinstein telling her “No Ma’Am,” that he would not be allowing his Constitutional rights to be violated by any politician.
In keeping with his extreme positions against the U.S. Constitution, Morgan invited Corporal Boston onto his CNN show in order to rail against guns. Also in keeping with his wholly uninformed positions on guns, Morgan went on a terror disgorging misinformation and fearmongering against them, in this case the AR-15 rifle.

CNN’s Piers Morgan is still engaged in his crusade against the U.S. Constitution. His latest salvo in that war is to call “idiocy” on those who support the Second Amendment.
As is his wont, British citizen Morgan took to his Twitter account to once again denounce those in favor of the rights Americans enjoy.
A young man from Indiana going by the name Brice Widau Tweeted to Morgan asking him why we don’t “ban mayonnaise” since obesity is supposedly a bigger killer in the U.S. than are guns. Piers replied to the young man saying that he and those who support the Constitution are wallowing in “idiocy” and he wants to “ban” it.
I’d rather ban your kind of idiocy > RT @bassistbrice: @piersmorgan obesity is a number one killer in America. Should we ban mayonnaise?
Clearly the Second Amendment isn’t the only part of that Constitution thingie foreign citizen Morgan despises. He is also against that whole “freedom of speech” business.

CNN’s Victor Blackwell is big on helping. He proved that on December 26 by giving Democrat Representative Jim Moran (Vir.) a little help with his anti-gun talking points during a broadcast of CNN’s News Room.
Moran appeared with Blackwell to discuss a new gun control bill he co-sponsored, but the CNN reporter wasn’t satisfied with Moran’s efforts so he helped out a bit citing statistics straight from anti-Second Amendment group Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG).
After Moran told the CNN audience about his gun “reform” bill, host Blackwell offered statistics that MAIG have been shopping around since late July.
“You picked these five,” Blackwell interjected, “because there’s a poll over the summer by a GOP pollster that says that these are not only things that are mildly supported by NRA members, but they are in the 60, 70, 80 percentile of support from the membership.”
Mr. Blackwell also didn’t bother to mention that the “GOP pollster” he was citing, Frank Luntz, has for some time also been a hired pollster for MAIG.

Piers Morgan has done it again, this time saying that both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution are “inherently flawed” and need new “amendments.”
During Morgan’s Monday, December 24 broadcast of his cable spectacle, CNN’s British import once again attacked America’s most deeply held principles by slamming both the Constitution and the Bible.
Morgan was interviewing Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren when he essentially went for the throat.
“Both the Bible and the Constitution were well intentioned, but they are basically, inherently flawed. Hence, the need to amend it. My point to you about gay rights, for example, it’s time for an amendment to the bible,” the CNN host said.
Naturally, Pastor Warren told the cable talker that at least he didn’t believe the Bible was flawed.
But Morgan thought it was all pretty funny. “You should compile a new bible,” Morgan guffawed.

Roland Martin wants us all to see the dead bodies of the victims of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary school. He imagines that this is the only way stupid Americans can “get” the shooting.
In a new editorial, CNN contributor Roland Martin wants to put on display the murdered children of Sandy Hook in some grisly panoply that he thinks will help America agree with his anti-gun agenda.
Taking his cue from a message he received from another ghoulish CNN employee, Martin posited that the only way Americans can actually understand the weight of the massacre at Sandy Hook is to display the dead bodies of its children in the same way Emmett Till’s mother allowed photos of her dead son to be emblazoned on magazine covers in the 1950s.
Emmett Till, you’ll recall, was the black teenager that was mercilessly beaten to death in Mississippi in 1955 because the racists there claimed he had “flirted” with a white woman. The beating left the poor teen unrecognizable. When Till’s mother held her son’s funeral she left his casket open to show the evil perpetrated upon her son.

After Wednesday night’s CNN special, Guns in America, it has become clear that Piers Morgan is one thrown chair away from being the newest Jerry Springer.
After he indulged his latest shoutfest and bout of name calling, Morgan has shown that he is no more serious as a commentator and interviewer than the syndicated tabloid talker.
Jerry Springer made himself famous for screamfests, fist fights, and name calling on his daytime TV show but who cannot see that Piers Morgan is only a few steps removed from Springerism?
Take Guns in America as only the latest example. Morgan sold the show as a “townhall,” a meaningful discussion about the “crisis” of guns. Instead of a meaningful discussion, however, Morgan screamed at guests, called them liars, cut them off from speaking, and generally acted the bore.
All it would have taken for a full Springer experience is for a chair to be thrown by a baby momma or two.

Piers Morgan ‘Guns In America’ Special: Hectoring Guests, A Fact-Free Discussion

CNN’s Piers Morgan uncorked a special “townhall” event titled Guns in America on Wednesday evening that was at once replete with misinformation and filled with useless bromides. Worse, British citizen Morgan perpetrated a constant hectoring attack on anyone who exhibited the slightest disagreement with his cherished disdain for the U.S. Constitution.
Morgan began his program with wild hyperbole saying that guns were “the single most important issue in this country today” and saying it was a “national crises.” More important than the spiraling debt President Obama is getting us in? More important than any other issue? Apparently so.
However, since violent crime is on the decrease for the fifth straight year all across the country, it would hardly seem likely that guns are “the single most important issue,” would it?
But, coming from a man who Tweeted agreeing that he was gleeful that the deaths in Connecticut occurred so that he could push his anti-Constitution message with the greatest force, I suppose this would seem to be the most important issue.
Morgan’s on-stage panel was a bit quixotic for its lack of bona fides to talk guns and gun violence. He had on with him Democrat Mayor of Newark, New Jersey, Corey Booker and CNN globe hopper Christiane Amanpour. Booker has at least dealt with the law enforcement side of the issue, but Amanour? What was her relevance to such a panel? Speaking of utter irrelevance to the issue, Morgan also had the bromide-speaking Deepak Chopra who’s contribution was utterly useless.
On the pro-gun side, Morgan had well-known pro-gun advocate and researcher John Lott. He also had Steve Dulan, the Attorney for the Michigan Coalition of Responsible Gun Owners, and Doctor Xavier Amador who has from time to time also spoken in favor of our right to self-protection. Additionally, Will Cain, analyst for TheBlaze.com and a contributor to CNN, got a few seconds to participate.
Morgan, however, did not allow any of the pro-gun spokesmen to answer him when he asked them questions. Like a bully, he asked a question then powered through their answer to pose a second, even a third question refusing to give them any opportunity to answer his first question.

CNN Anchor Criticizes God for Sandy Hook Massacre

Trying to figure out how to deal with the massacre of children at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newton, Connecticut is no easy task. For reporters, “dealing” isn’t supposed to be the goal, reporting is. But for CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield, reporting is of less interest than placing blame even to the point of blaming God for the crime.
On December 19, the CNN anchor interviewed Rabbi Shmuley Boteach ostensibly to discuss the lack of reverence for God in American schools. Banfield reported that some blame this lack of reverence for setting the stage for these sorts of crimes.
During the segment, Banfield quoted the head of the American Family Association, Bryan Fischer, who said that one reason this massacre happened is that “we’ve kicked God out of out of the public school system.” This, Banfield editorialized, was an outrage.

Libs Immediately Politicize Conn. School Shooting

In their practice of “never letting a serious crises go to waste,” liberals didn’t even wait for the full story to be reported before using today’s shooting at a Connecticut school for political reasons.
CNN talk show host and British citizen Piers Morgan immediately took to his Twitter account to inject politics into the criminal actions in Connecticut demanding that the U.S. Constitution be altered to his satisfaction and urging President Obama to implement strict gun laws.
Some of Morgan’s tweets:
- No more weasly words of ‘comfort’ Mr President. This is the latest, and worst, gun outrage on your watch. Time to act.
- This is now President Obama’s biggest test – will he have the courage to stand up to the American gun lobby?
- White House spokesman Jay Carney’s right – today’s not the day to debate gun control. YESTERDAY was the day to debate it.
- Don’t just mourn these poor dead children America – get angry and do something to stop these senseless shootings happening.
Showing he doesn’t really understand any of what he’s talking about, Morgan also compared today’s shooting to the massacre in Dunblane, Scotland.

Success: Ted Turner Declares Wars ‘Over With’

In his best Fukuyama-like fashion, CNN founder Ted Turner has pronounced the end of war. Not only that, but he implies that the U.S. is the stupid country for refusing to abide by his prognosticating powers.
During a December 13 broadcast of CNN’s Newsroom, Turner made the sweeping pronouncement about the end of war assuring viewers that, “the big, intelligent, well-educated countries have already quit war.”
Proving he doesn’t know much about recent history, Turner even claimed that Russia doesn’t go to war any more because they are so “smart.” Say, Ted, don’t you remember when Russia invaded Georgia and killed so many citizens and soldiers from that former Soviet Republic? That was only four years ago, Ted.
Turner went on to indulge several more somewhat childlike proclamations. One was that either no one should be allowed to have nuclear weapons, or every country should have them — that’ll work well, eh?
In his brilliance, Turner said that if every country had nuclear weapons that would end proliferation. What can one say to that?

British citizen and low-rated TV host Piers Morgan of CNN sided with sportscaster Bob Costas in an attack on the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution by coming to Costas’ support in a Tweet on Monday.
“Quite incredible that Bob Costas makes an impassioned plea for less handguns,” Morgan Tweeted, “and Americans go crazy with indignation. He’s 100% right.”
The Brit compounded his lack of knowledge by Tweeting, “The 2nd amendment was devised with muskets in mind, not high-powered handguns & assault rifles. Fact.”
Sorry, Piers. Not “fact.”
