Outnumbered! Fox News to Debut New Show With Four Females Hosts & One Male

April 23, 2014 | Filed Under Fox News, Media, Media Bias, Warner Todd Huston | Comments Off

-By Warner Todd Huston

Before it even debuts, the new Fox News show Outnumbered is being called a “stroke of evil genius.” It features four, count ‘em, four, female hosts and only one, lonely male.

The four female hosts and one male host will mostly be rotating. Two of the females will be FOX Business Network’s Sandra Smith and FOX Report Weekend anchor Harris Faulkner. Other female hosts will be such Fox personalities as co-hosts of The Five, Kimberly Guilfoyle and Andrea Tantaros along with FNC contributors Jedediah Bila, Katie Pavlich and Kirsten Powers.

The male host will rotate, as well, varying each day, sometimes he will be as a notable figure in the national dialogue that week.

Like many of these panel shows, Outnumbered will tackle top news headlines from all angles and perspectives. Certainly the panelists will examine the top news of the hour but they will also deliberate over the leading pop culture and relationship issues dominating the headlines that day.

Media Giddy Over Chelsea Clinton Extending Dynasty With Baby Announcement

On Thursday, April 17, Chelsea Clinton said that she and husband of four years, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, have a blessed event to announce as the couple is now expecting their first child. But the Old Media may be more excited than Chelsea that the Clinton dynasty is growing.

One of the earliest to bubble over with excitement seemed to be a screaming, all caps Tweet pushed out by CNN’s Candy Crowley.

Oddly, Crowley coupled Chelsea’s announcement with Obama’s wonderful Obamacare news, saying, “AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME-TWO ANNOUNCEMENTS: POTUS SAYS 8 MILLION ENROLLED IN ACA, AND CHELSEA CLINTON SAYS SHE’S PREGNANT.”

Even some of Crowley’s fans wondered why she was yelling at them with the all caps post that breaks netiquette standards.

Clinton Papers: Bill and Hillary Feared the Internet

The Clinton Library has released over 7,000 pages of documents from Bill’s presidency, likely hoping that what ever is in them will be “old news” by the time Hillary announces her bid for president. But one of the documents is very interesting and shows that Bill and Hillary really feared and hated the free flow of information on the Internet.

A report, titled “Communication Stream of Conspiracy Commerce,” was meant to “prove” Hillary’s claim that a “vast right wing conspiracy” was trying to destroy her and Bill. It also made to explain “the Internet influence.”

In 1998, Hillary appeared on NBC’s Today Show and said that a “vast right wing conspiracy” had been trying to destroy her husband “since the day he announced for president.”

Of course, her absurd claim became the joke of the decade and for years afterward conservatives were proud to belong to that “vast right win conspiracy.” The phrase became such a joke, though, that Clinton’s White House decided it had to “prove” the claim with a report linking that “conspiracy” all together.

Chicago Math: Three is Only Two

On WLS AM 89 radio political reporter Bill Cameron featured an interview with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel that shows just why math is soooooo darn hard for politicians.

The interview was about Rahm trying to get hundreds of millions of our tax dollars to be set aside and wasted–er, bestowed–on a presidential library for Barack Obama.

In the radio clip Rahm says the following:

“I have been to both the Lincoln library, the Carter library down in Atlanta, President Clinton’s library in Little Rock, and seen the economic and cultural energy that’s created.”

So, Rahm has been to “both” of all three locations?

No wonder it is so hard for our Chicago politicians to understand that hard math stuff. When three only equals two, I guess we can see why so much money mysteriously disappears in Chicago.

Eating Their Own: Union Wants to Unionize Extremist, Left-Wing Media Matters, Website Owners Furious

Started in 2004, the left-wing propaganda website Media Matters for America has been spreading lies about Republicans and conservatives for a decade, now. Naturally the site has always claimed the center-right coalition is “anti-worker” for opposing unions, but this organization itself has never been unionized. Now the Service Employee International Union (SEIU) is agitating to organize Media Matters and the propaganda outfit is fit to be tied over the union’s efforts.

Started by Clinton operative David Brock, Media Matters for America (MM) has been programming the left-wing media since its debut and one of the organization’s repeated topics has been its blanket support for unions and for all the things unions advocate. Most especially a support for the union goal of “card check.”

Card check is a union scheme of making the unionization of a business easier–easier for unions, not employers. One of its features is to have employees voting on whether or not to allow a union to enter the workplace forced to vote their preference out in the open, without a secret ballot.

Pistol Turned to ‘Submachine Gun’ By Clueless Media

Once again we get proof of how mindless and clueless the media is, how they don’t fact check, but just mindlessly pass on each other’s bad work ad infinitum. This time it happened with a story about a criminal who used a .22 caliber pistol in a crime but one clueless reporter turned it into a “submachine gun” and hundreds of his mindless colleagues followed suit passing the lie on and on and on.

Clueless reporter Darryl Holliday of DNAinfo Chicago, a website that caters to local news, reported on an incident that was perpetrated by a man from West Garfield Park who began wielding a .22 caliber pistol in a grocery store because he didn’t want to pay the 22 cents tax on a bottle of pop he was trying to buy.

Holliday “reported” that the crook “pulled an Intratec submachine gun out of a Gucci satchel,” and in the next paragraph again claimed the piece was a “submachine gun” saying, “Officers arrived on the scene shortly after to find Shelton’s Gucci bag open on the counter as well as 15 bullets in the blue steel .22-caliber submachine gun–eight live rounds in one magazine, five in another and one in the chamber, according to court documents.”

Of course, it is clear that reporter Holliday doesn’t have any idea what he’s rambling on about. The .22 caliber Intratec pistol is not a “submachine gun. It is a semi-automatic pistol like every other semi-auto pistol.

KMOX CBS Manufactures Journalism to Create ‘Outrage’ Over Confederate Flag

The Confederate flag has a very long and controversial history, to be sure. But a recent CBS report on a flag dustup in a school in Missouri shows just how slipshod journalism is today.

So, as the story goes, some kids at a Kansas City suburban high school have been playing with the Confederate battle flag lately and despite that there is no real news in the incident, the story made the news. Naturally the agenda journalists at CBS radio, KMOX, St. Louis tried their hardest to make it a story about “RAAAAAAAACISM!” despite that there doesn’t seem to be any proof at all that race is really a part of the story.

The report quotes a girl who noted that “some boy” was wearing a 3X5 sized C.S. flag as a cape and parading around “as if he was Superman or something.”

The assistant principal, as kill-joy officials are wont to do, took the flag away from the kid for whatever reason… not that school officials ever think they need a reason to take things away from kids, of course.

Gawker Memo: Don’t Write like BuzzFeed

Gawker thinks quite highly of itself, it appears. So high, in fact, that employees have now been told not to write like those ne’er do wells over at BuzzFeed.

“We want to sound like regular adult human beings, not Buzzfeed writers or Reddit commenters,” new Gawker Editor Max Read told employees of the website famed for its name calling and taunt-filled blog posts.

The editor of the blog that says it is “the source for daily Manhattan media news and gossip,” sent out the memo to employees on April 1 informing them that henceforth Internet slang was banned. No more “derps,” not another “epic,” not one more “pwn,” and most certainly no “massives” will be allowed.

Read is telling employees to avoid using type with a strike through in posts, too, informing them that if they have a correction to make they should actually write the thing out and note that it is a correction.

So old world.

So, at 10PM Eastern on Saturday, April 5, Fox is airing FOX News Reporting: Enemies of the State to expound on this anti-free speech crusade being perpetrated by people and entities ranging from President Obama, Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, to the NSA and the IRS and others on the left-wing of the American political sphere.

The one-hour special will be hosted by FNC’s Jon Scott and will focus on Americans who have found themselves in the crosshairs of their own government. During the program, Scott will be joined by FNC senior national correspondent John Roberts and co-anchor of America’s News HQ Greg Jarrett to investigate four issues where private citizens found themselves in battles against the government.

FBN purchased a series of ads from the New York Market served by Time Warner Cable and began running them on CNBC touting the wonderfulness of Maria’s FBN show, Opening Bell with Maria Batriromo.

Obama’s Newest Assault on Free Speech: The So-Called ‘Free Flow of Information Act’

Obama’s newest attack on free political speech protects neither journalists nor does it assure any “free flow of information.”

In addition to the IRS targeting conservative groups, individuals and their families–and now proposing rules to silence them during elections–and the new FCC plan to police the press by placing so-called “researchers” in newsrooms across the country, the Obama administration is pushing Congress to pass legislation that threatens the First Amendment rights of citizen journalists, grassroots activists, and bloggers by creating a federal government media licensing regime.

The “Free Flow of Information Act of 2013” (S. 987) would allow the federal government to determine who is and who is not a “journalist” and to grant special privileges to only the institutional and paid media.

By giving special legal protections to the journalistic-elite who meet the federal government’s definition of “legitimate” media, the bill would create the very type of government media licensing system that the Founding Fathers intended to prohibit with the First Amendment.

‘NY Daily News’ Article Calls Gun Owner ‘Gun Nut,’ Misidentifies Guns

To show the utter, abject bias against the Constitution and our Second Amendment rights in the “news,” one need only turn to the New York Daily News to see a prime example. In a recent “news” story on a gun give-away, the paper called the winner a “gun nut,” and misidentified the rifle given away as an “assault weapon.”

A church in upstate New York made news by hosting a give-away program for an AR-15-styled rifle made by Smith & Wesson. The entrants for the raffle had to sit through the pastor’s sermon. The winner also had to pass a background check at a local gun store and wait the requisite period to take possession of the rifle.

In “reporting” the story, though, the paper filled its piece with misleading terminology and name calling to prove its disdain for the Church’s give-away as well as its contempt for the Constitution and the Second Amendment not to mention the winner of the rifle.

Obama Press Secretary’s Fake ‘Briefings’

It’s supposedly a long tradition. Reporters from the nation’s top news agencies gather together before the President’s Press Secretary and pepper him with questions on the issues of the day to get off the cuff answers so that we, the people, can take a measure of what the White House is doing. Only with Obama it’s all fake. Neither the questions nor the answers are “real.”

As it happens, a reporter from Arizona has revealed that all the questions and all the answers to those questions are hammered out between the “reporters” and Obama’s Press Sec. Jay Carney before any of them ever enter the White House briefing room.

It’s all a sham, a show, a false front as these so-called “reporters” bow to demands that their questions be submitted before the press “conference” and approved ahead of time.

According to the Arizona reporter, Jay Carney himself admitted the truth in an accidentally candid moment.

The Most ‘Transparent’ President in History Has More Secrecy Than Ever

Once again we see an example of the essential falsehood upon which the Obama administration was built. When Obama ran for the White House and then won he did so claiming that his would be an open presidency unlike that evil, evil George Bush’s. But since he won it has become clear that Obama is actually more secretive than Bush was. Yet, liberals give him a pass on this major lie upon which he built his case for election.

During all six years of his presidency we’ve seen the truth come out. But this month we see yet another example. A new study finds that at an increasing rate every year Obama has been censoring government documents requested under the Freedom of Information Act or outright refusing to supply them quite despite his claims that he’d expedite the process and fulfill more requests.

The recent study shows that, “the government’s efforts to be more open about its activities last year were their worst since President Barack Obama took office.”

Despite Obama’s hoary claims that he was going to have the most open and ethical presidency ever, that he’d institute the strictest rules any president ever imposed on himself, reality has come knocking and revealed that the exact opposite has come to pass.

Among other things, the study found that, “five years after Obama directed agencies to less frequently invoke a ‘deliberative process’ exception to withhold materials describing decision-making behind the scenes, the government did it anyway, a record 81,752 times.”

It has all been one gigantic lie. And the liberals? They are paying no attention at all.

But this is only the latest example.

Looks like long-time Chicago investigative reporter Carol Marin really laid her hate for everyone right of center bare with her lie-filled attack on WLS radio personality and political operative Dan Proft last week.

Marin, a reporter with quite a reputation for factual columns, lambasted a mail ad that Proft’s political action group sent out that featured a “homophobic” slam on House member Ron Sandack.

Only there was a problem with Marin’s attack on Proft. The ad she was criticizing wasn’t sent by his PAC. It was sent by Illinois Family Action.

Marin slammed Proft as a gay basher, called him a homophobe, and attacked him in several ways interpreting all his mailers are anti-gay.

She proved to be one of those haters of conservatives and Republicans that reads “hate” into everything people right of center do. She proved to be shrill, blind to reality, and more interested in promulgating her own brand of hate than in the truth.

‘Shark Tank’ Repeats Get More Ratings Than All of CNN’s Programming

Despite the much ballyhooed tinkering by chief Jeff Zucker to halt CNN’s ratings decline, the cable news network racked up its third-lowest month on record for January. Things were so bad that even repeats of the reality show Shark Tank airing on CNBC beat CNN in the ratings.

This January, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, the nation’s oldest financial cable news network, began airing repeats of the ABC reality show Shark Tank, where applicants vie for funding from a panel of venture capitalists. CNBC’s reruns topped every show on CNN as well as every show but The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC.

The reruns of the reality/game show came in at number 6 in the ratings race behind four Fox News shows, The O’Reilly Factor, The Five, The Kelly File and Special Report With Bret Baier, with Maddow’s show on MSNBC coming it at fifth place. But Shark Tank swamped every single CNN show on the schedule.

When a CNN Sports Dolt Tries to Explain Chicago’s Gun Problem With Laughable Results

CNN sports writer LZ Granderson tried to write a serious column about Chicago’s gun ban laws and only ended up making himself look foolish for the effort. This is what happens when sports dorks try to think on subjects outside their silly, inconsequential world of sports.

With his columns, “When a City’s Gun Laws Get Shot Down,” it seems that Granderson was trying desperately to make sense of the failure of Chicago’s gun ban to keep the city safe and it appears that he is supportive of taking away American’s Second Amendment rights merely by local government fiat. Yet even as he seemed to support gun bans, nearly every word he wrote proves that gun bans don’t work.

Sadly, after reading his mush of a column, it is almost impossible to figure out what they heck this guy’s point is supposed to be. but it does show that he is not capable of logically thinking through a problem and writing a cogent discussion of that issue.

Mike Huckabee did not say a single thing that was outrageous during his remarks to an RNC winter meeting on January 23. But that won’t stop the Old Media complex from lying about his comments and desperately trying to spin his comments as some sort of attack on women. It was, in fact, just the opposite.

Left-wing spin artists that pretend to be journalists, like CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Dana Bash, immediately launched into an attack on Huckabee as if he was disparaging women or attacking their rights–because, you know, Republicans hate women, and all.

Bash most especially immediately lied about Huckabee’s comments, mischaracterizing them so badly that one would think she didn’t actually hear the comments and is only regurgitating the lies spread by extremists that she picked up on the Internet.

It’s bad enough that “reporter” Bash followed the left-wing attack machine’s lie-filled narrative but it’s worse because she was actually in the audience and heard Huckabee first hand.

This so-called reporter jumped to her Twitter account and wrote the following: “At Rnc meeting @MikeHuckabee just said fed govt shouldn’t help women w who can’t control their libido w birth control.”

The Best Primer for Phil Robertson’s ‘Duck Dynasty’ Controversy

If you are like many folks, you’ll have missed the beginning of the controversy over comments about homosexuality made by Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson and you’ll have heard about it only after everyone started talking about it. So, you may have missed the meat of the matter by listening only to the commentators yammering about what Phil said. But if you want the whole story in one well written piece, check out David J. Theroux’s “Duck Dynasty and the Secular Theocracy” because it’ll give you the whole story from the beginning.

In a two part posting, Theroux, founder and president and CEO of The Independent Institute, did a fantastic job relaying what Robertson said and the reaction it fostered.

In part one Theroux details Robertson’s December interview in GQ magazine where he paraphrased a Bible-based list of sins one of which is the act of homosexuality. Then the author goes on to review the initial reaction to those comments.

In order to appeal to an extremist MSNBC audience, Politico’s Glenn Thrush shamelessly pumped up the partisanship by giving Governor Chris Christie’s bridge lane closing controversy a “funny” name: “bridge-ghazi.”

During a discussion of Christie’s troubles on the January 13 Alex Wagner show, Thrush jumped in mirthfully using the term “bridge-ghazi,” much to Wagner’s amusement.

It should be remembered that the terrorist attacks on our facilities in Benghazi, Libya resulted in the deaths of four Americans, one of whom was Chris Stevens, our ambassador to Libya. To add “ghazi” to the far more trivial bridge controversy makes a mockery of their deaths.

The Big Sandy Shoot Out is held twice a year in the Arizona desert and features any manner of firearm from pistols and rifles all the way to fully automatic machine guns and even big artillery like cannons and anti-tank guns. Even working, military tanks are brought to blast away in the desert.

For one thing, Terry Greene Sterling, the liberal journalist in question, seemed shocked to find out that not just anyone can buy a fully automatic machine gun. In her world of journalists, they all think that any five-year-old can buy a machine gun in Kindergarten.

In a December 28 Facebook posting advertising its article on the A&E network’s decision to reinstate Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson, the Denver Post called Robertson a “hate-speech spewer.” So much for an unbiased reporting of the news.

To flack its December 28 article titled, “‘Duck Dynasty’ debacle winners and losers,” by television critic, Joanne Ostrow, the Post threw up a blurb on Facebook saying that A&E “welcomed patriarch and hate-speech spewer Phil Robertson” back to the show.

“The feathers are no longer flying,” the Facebook blurb reads. “For now, the “Duck Dynasty” debacle is settled. The network, A&E, has welcomed patriarch and hate-speech spewer Phil Robertson back into the fold. So who were the winners and losers in this sad episode?”

Many of the comments on the Facebook page take the Post to task for its extreme bias.

Remember, leftists such as those on cable “news” network MSNBC, are more loving and tolerant than you jerky conservatives. So, that is why the talking heads on MSNBC thought it would be fun to ridicule Mitt Romney for having an adopted grandson who is black. Because: tolerance.

On Sunday, December 29, extremist, hate-filled liberal Melissa Harris-Perry tok a few minutes with her panel of ignoramuses to talk about the most recent family photo of Mitt and Ann Romney and all their grandchildren.

There on Mitt’s knee, Harris-Perry informed us, was a little black child and she and her panel exploded in an amazing round of thinly veiled hatred over the adoption.

“Everybody loves a baby picture,” Harris-Perry belched out, “and this was one that really, a lot of people had emotions about this baby picture this year. This is the Romney family. And, of course, there on Governor Romney’s knee is his adopted grandson, who is an African-American, adopted African-American child, Kieran Romney.”

This is what MSNBC did when trying to use the Bible against what the cabler said was Sarah Palin’s “un-Christian” Christmas trees.

During the December 26 broadcast of the lamentable Ed Show on MSNBC, substitute hostette and resident numbskull Joy Reid thought she had a great way to attack Sarah Palin.

For her “Pretenders” segment, Reid showed some video of Palin and family around their Christmas tree and used that as a vehicle to attack. All these Christmas trees, Reid noted, were un-Christian and so, Palin is a hypocrite.

“In ‘Pretenders’ tonight, a merry Palin Christmas. Sarah Palin dropped by Fox & Friends to promote her manifesto on Christmas purity,” Reid blubbered. “She brought a treat better than Christmas cookies–family photos.”

After the video of Palin and her Christmas tree, Reid took to scolding Palin for her hypocrisy.

Gay British actor Alan Cumming, was not very happy with Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal for coming to the support of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson. In fact, Cumming called Jindal a “dickbrain” for coming to Robertson’s support.

Cumming, who starred in such massive, important cinematic hits as Spy Kids and Smurfs 2 and is now a bit player in the TV show The Good Wife, also noted that he wants to institute a “socialist utopia” in the USA.

The homosexual British actor made these comments on his Twitter feed after he belatedly found out that Bobby Jindal came to Robertson’s support.

On his Twitter account, Cumming noted that Jindal said that the “left may control Hollywood, but not the hearts and minds of a majority of Americans.” Then the actor added, “Yet US voted left. Twice.” The actor added the hashtag “#dickbrain.”
