Later this month, the Clinton Foundation is throwing a big gala to honor its 2014 Global Citizen Award winner, actor Leonardo DiCaprio. But with this hoity-toity gala, so much for Hillary being the “populist” woman of the people.

As Hillary and her surrogates attempt to recast the former First Lady and Secretary of State as a populist woman of the people, her Clinton Foundation is set to celebrate with a dozen famous and high powered citizens of the world during its September 21 soirée.

Hillary’s Book A Monumental Flop

Well, the stats are in and it is looking like Hillary’s book is such a flop that the publisher won’t even recoup the upfront money they doled out to her to “write” the thing.

In the book’s first week sales were not horrible, still they were nothing to get excited about. But by week two sales cratered and now it looks like “flop” is written all over this door stop. Sales fell by a whooping 43 percent in week two.

According to Becket Adams, “Excluding digital purchases, only 85,721 copies of Hard Choices sold in the book’s first week, and only 48,227 copies sold in its second week, according to Nielsen numbers.”

Clinton In-Law Loses Election BIG

A Clinton extended family member, Marjorie Margolies–the mother of Chelsea Clinton’s husband–was running for Congress in a safe Democrat district in Pennsylvania. Everyone expected her to just waltz into Congress but shockingly she got crushed by a lesser known primary challenger.

Margolies had a lot of things going for her, all of which seemed to assure that she was a shoo in. She was once a Congresswoman, she is Chelsea Clinton’s mother-in-law and she had both Bill and Hillary fly in to her district and campaign for her. She is also a “she,” and was being challenged in the Democrat primary by a white man. That alone would have seemed to put her over the edge, war on women wise.

But it was the Clinton connection that everyone thought would be the number one winning point. Bill and Hillary held campaign fundraisers for Margolies and Bill sent out a robo call on her behalf.

Liberal Columnist: Anti-Black Racism Used Against Bill Clinton, Too

Proof that liberals can see racism everywhere they look, a liberal columnist has written a piece saying that Obama isn’t the only President that white racists attacked. They “racialized” Bill Clinton, too.

On May 8, one of The Atlantic’s race-centric writers, Ta-Nehisi Coates, felt the need to disagree with another writer for his publication by insisting that, just as the do Obama, white racists did, indeed, attack Clinton with their bigoted antics

Coates was responding to The Atlantic’s Peter Beinart who wrote a May 2 piece reminding readers that “not all Republican opposition to Obama is racist.”

Beinart summed up the feelings of liberals well saying that today they feel both frustrated and liberated at the same time.

Media Giddy Over Chelsea Clinton Extending Dynasty With Baby Announcement

On Thursday, April 17, Chelsea Clinton said that she and husband of four years, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, have a blessed event to announce as the couple is now expecting their first child. But the Old Media may be more excited than Chelsea that the Clinton dynasty is growing.

One of the earliest to bubble over with excitement seemed to be a screaming, all caps Tweet pushed out by CNN’s Candy Crowley.

Oddly, Crowley coupled Chelsea’s announcement with Obama’s wonderful Obamacare news, saying, “AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME-TWO ANNOUNCEMENTS: POTUS SAYS 8 MILLION ENROLLED IN ACA, AND CHELSEA CLINTON SAYS SHE’S PREGNANT.”

Even some of Crowley’s fans wondered why she was yelling at them with the all caps post that breaks netiquette standards.

Clinton Papers: Bill and Hillary Feared the Internet

The Clinton Library has released over 7,000 pages of documents from Bill’s presidency, likely hoping that what ever is in them will be “old news” by the time Hillary announces her bid for president. But one of the documents is very interesting and shows that Bill and Hillary really feared and hated the free flow of information on the Internet.

A report, titled “Communication Stream of Conspiracy Commerce,” was meant to “prove” Hillary’s claim that a “vast right wing conspiracy” was trying to destroy her and Bill. It also made to explain “the Internet influence.”

In 1998, Hillary appeared on NBC’s Today Show and said that a “vast right wing conspiracy” had been trying to destroy her husband “since the day he announced for president.”

Of course, her absurd claim became the joke of the decade and for years afterward conservatives were proud to belong to that “vast right win conspiracy.” The phrase became such a joke, though, that Clinton’s White House decided it had to “prove” the claim with a report linking that “conspiracy” all together.

Here is How Many Times Did Jay Leno Slam Clinton, Bush or Obama

With Jay Leno ending his 22-year stint as host of NBC’s Tonight Show this week, The Center for Media and Public Affairs took the time to add up how many times he made fun of Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama and found that Clinton came in as the most ribbed Prez.

Bill Clinton rang in with 4,607 Tonight Show jokes making him the most joked about President. This might only make sense as Clinton was always there to make fun of since the first day Leno took over the show. While both Bush and Obama were around less time to serve as targets.

Maybe unsurprisingly, the next most slammed president was George W. Bush at 3,239 jokes. Next came Al Gore at 1,026 pokes with Obama coming in at 1,011. Hillary Clinton brought up fifth place with 939 jokes.

Bill Clinton Doodled drawings of Little Erections on Official Papers

Looks like Bill Clinton’s reputation as a sex-crazed, horndog is cemented with reports that he doodled little drawings of male erections on official papers while he was president.

A hacker that goes by the name “Guccifer” has uncovered the rather telling doodles from papers that Clinton worked with when he was in the White House in the mid to late 90s.

The document in question was a briefing on the strategic situation in Yugoslavia presenting the President with several issues surrounding that region. As he sat in the briefing, the then president drew little doodles–out of boredom–and some of the images are…uh, interesting, to say the least.

Even Bill Clinton Says Obama Lied About ‘Keeping Our Insurance if We Like it’

In a new interview, former President Bill Clinton essentially admits that Obama has lied when he told America that we could keep our insurance policies and doctors “if we like them.”

Clinton thought that Obama’s claim that we could keep our insurance is a promise he should have kept. Clinton contends that young people heard this promise quite clearly and it’s one President Obama needs to keep–even if keeping it requires a change in the Obamacare law.

“So I personally believe, even if it takes a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got,” Clinton said.

Man, when even a president with the reputation as being one of the biggest liars to ever hold that office says you are a liar, you are in REAL trouble.

Piers Morgan got a slap on his own show from no less than Bill Clinton who delivered a not so subtle dig on CNN’s ratings decline.

During a full hour appearance on September 25, when the discussion steered toward political coverage by the media, Clinton told Morgan that he worries over CNN’s dismal ratings saying he “used to worry that CNN was going to lose too many viewers.”

Morgan quickly interrupted to assure the former president that CNN was doing fine, or “storming ahead,” as Morgan claimed

But Clinton wasn’t so sure. He still noted that MSNBC “has grown.”

In a recent appearance Obama made the claim that people can get “quality” healthcare for less than their cell phone bills–an outright lie, that is–and said that the GOP is running scared.

(VIDEO) Hard Journalism: Chelsea Clinton Interviews Geico’s Gecko

On the April 25 broadcast of Rock Center, NBC’s special correspondent Chelsea Clinton “interviewed” the Geico Gecko, that fictional cartoon character that fronts many Geico Insurance company television ads.

The “interview” presented the Clinton progeny reaching the height of her journalism career asking questions with the sort of stilted delivery readily seen in any 7th grade stage play while the animated insurance spokesman replied with light hearted quips. Hard hitting journalism, indeed.

NBC billed the segment as “part of Rock Center’s look at some of the most popular television advertisements, Special Correspondent Chelsea Clinton talked to Geico’s Gecko. The Gecko reflected on his new book and his embarrassing high school yearbook photo along with his rise as one of television’s most popular ad men.”

Oddly, even in the description NBC acted as if the cartoon character is a real, living being.

Gennifer Flowers: Bill Clinton Tried to Meet With Me in 2005

In a recent interview, former Clinton paramour Gennifer Flowers dished some more on her troubled relationship with impeached President, Bill Clinton. She even claimed that he tried to get together with her even as late as 2005.

In the interview aired on ABC’s WGNO in New Orleans, Flowers also insisted that it was her revelations about Clinton that made him into a “household name” during his 1992 campaign for the White House.

But it was her claim that the former President tried to arrange a meeting with her as recently as 2005 that really raises eyebrows.

“I picked up the phone and it was him,” Flowers, now 62, said on ABC affiliate WGNO in New Orleans, while sipping wine with TV host Susan Roesgen. “And he wanted to come by my house and talk to me. … I was taken aback. That was the last thing I expected.”

“I said, ‘No you can’t come over here,’” she continued. “He said, ‘I’ll put on a hoodie and I’ll jog up there.’ … And I said, ‘No, I want you to leave me alone.’ And that was that.”

Clinton had already filmed the advocacy ads before NBC rendered its decision.

Obama/Clinton Politicized Hurricane Sandy?

Many in the Old Media establishment today are praising Obama for keeping politics out of his administrative duties concerning Hurricane Sandy, but he didn’t leave politics entirely out of it during his FEMA briefing, that’s for sure.

The President has made a big show out of suspending his political campaign as Hurricane Sandy bears down on the east coast of the country. Obama has canceled his campaign appearances in order to stay in D.C. and he’s been all over the airwaves with his grave pronouncements and his directives.

But he didn’t leave campaign mode entirely as evidence by the White House pushing O’s campaign slogan, “forward,” into a press release on the storm.

“The president made clear that he expects his team to remain focused as the immediate impacts of Hurricane Sandy continue and lean forward in their response,” the White House said in a statement about Mr. Obama’s video-teleconference that he conducted from the White House Situation Room.

As I am sure you all know, “forward” is the slogan of the President’s re-election campaign.

Connelly claims that Roger simply stood by watching the assault and did nothing to break up the tussle.

If Obama so desperately wants examples of racist rhetoric being cast against him, there’s none better than what Bill Clinton said of him only a few short years ago.

In 2008 during that contentious Democrat primary that pitted Hillary Clinton against Barack Obama, the former president was in full sales mode to get his wife the nomination of the Democrat Party and in an effort to enlist Ted Kennedy to his cause he uttered what any journalist would immediately brand as a racist remark.

Ryan Lizza reports that the late Tim Russert related a Bill Clinton anecdote that must shock anyone overly sensitive to charges of racism.

You might recall, as does Lizza, that Bill Clinton was already being accused of acting in a racist manner by discounting Obama’s primary wins that year and an incident after the South Carolina primaries figured prominently in that charge. But the former president was even more vehement in private.

Vogue Editor Pants: Bill and Hillary are the ‘World’s Greatest Parents’

So, not only was Bill Clinton officially the first black president, now he can add another great plaudit to his resume. According to Vogue magazine’s contributing editor Jonathan van Meter, Bill, along with wifey Hillary, might just be the “world’s greatest parents” because of how they raised daughter Chelsea. So they have that going for them, which is nice.

This slobbering sycophancy all came tumbling out during an interview with van Meter conducted by CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield aired on CNN on the morning of August 15.

As the subject turned to Clinton progeny Chelsea, van Meter really poured out the syrup.

I think one of the things the Clintons will go down in history for, it may very well being the world’s greatest parents. I mean, they did such an incredible job of protecting her from the likes of us, basically, and it’s an amazing thing that she’s decided to step out finally and do this.

Well, since he lost out for world’s greatest husband due to that whole serial adultery thing, I guess being the world’s greatest parent is a good runner up, isn’t it?

Dear Conservatives: Romney Isn’t One of Us But We Still Hold The Power If…

Romney is not conservative. Anyone that says he’s conservative is only trying to convince themselves and is willfully ignoring not only Romney’s entire executive record when he was governor of Massachusetts, but ignoring all the tell-tale signs that his current conservative-tinged campaign rhetoric is just a show to get the nomination. Romney doesn’t mean a word of what he says. But we still hold the power to force him to stay on a more or less conservative path if he wins the White House.

How can I say Romney is basically lying to us?

Well, his executive record aside — which is clearly center left, not conservative — let’s not take my word for it all. Let’s take the word of his advisers.

On CNN on March 21, for instance, senior Romney campaign adviser Eric Fehrnstrom was asked about Romney’s strategy in the general should he get that far. Fehrnstrom was asked if there is a concern that the other GOP candidates have made made Romney “tack so far to the right that it would hurt him with moderate voters in the general election.”

“Well, I think you hit a reset button for the Fall campaign everything changes,” Fehrnstrom replied. “It’s almost like an Etch-A-Sketch, you can kind of shake it up and we start all over again.”

That’s right. Fehrnstrom is directly saying that all Romney’s conservative rhetoric today will be quickly jettisoned and he’ll be back to his moderate, center left ideals when he’s comfortably set up as the GOP nominee. This should surprise no one. There have been a lot of other things that shows Romney isn’t a conservative. His staunch support for Romenycare and his constant lies about how he never advocated it for a national model is another example.

Bubba Takes The Cake: At last, the Clinton Legacy

January 21, 2012 | Filed Under Bill Clinton, Daniel Clark, Democrats/Leftists, Ethics, Liberals | Comments Off

-By Daniel Clark

Former White House pastry chef Roland Mesnier likes Bill Clinton, so there’s no reason he would have made up the story he told at the Katzen Center for the Arts, as cited by an article in Washingtonian magazine’s Capital Comment Blog. Not that there would be any reason to doubt him, since his anecdote is so quintessentially Clintonian as to practically corroborate itself.

Describing the 42nd president’s appetite as “scary,” Mesnier told the story of how Clinton gobbled up half a strawberry cake in one evening, and then awoke the next morning expecting more. “No one could find the cake,” the story goes, perhaps because someone had gotten the crazy idea that it had been intended for more than one person. “Clinton was pounding on the table and shouting, ‘I want my goddamned cake!'”

What an epitaph for the most spoiled, overindulgent, quick-tempered, self-absorbed glutton ever to serve in the Oval Office. If almost anyone else had, for whatever reason, devoured that much in one sitting, that person wouldn’t want to look at another piece of cake for weeks. In Clinton’s case, having consumed half a strawberry cake only served to remind him of half a strawberry cake. Therefore, he did what to him was only natural, and angrily demanded half a strawberry cake.

Left-Winger Robert Reich Despondent Over Obama Failure

-By Warner Todd Huston

Robert Reich, former Secretary of Labor under Bill Clinton, lefty political commentator, and so-called “economist,” is despondent over the failure of President Obama to “tell Americans the truth” about the budget debate now coursing through Washington D.C. Reich is very typical of how the far left in American politics is furious at Obama’s constant failure to go as far left as they want him to go. As absurd as it is, Reich’s ire is something worth keeping in mind.

Naturally Reich started his HuffPost screed slamming Republicans as the “most irresponsible and rigidly ideological” he’s ever seen them. This is, of course, because we are finally seeing Republicans that don’t automatically roll over and cave in to every left-wing demand as a first move. But, such as it is.

But after his paean to the hate-the-right meme, Reich gets to his Obama laments. Reich pins some of the mess we are in right on Obama and, “his inability or unwillingness to use the bully pulpit to tell Americans the truth, and mobilize them for what must be done.”

Interestingly at the end of last week during the IHS CERAWeek conference held in Houston, Texas, former President Bill Clinton said that Obama’s constant delays on issuing offshore oil drilling permits was “ridiculous.” With this one might be able to claim that Bill Clinton is a “drill, baby, drill” booster, just like Sarah Palin!

Politico is reporting that Bill Clinton agreed with fellow speaker former President George W. Bush on many of his points concerning the oil and gas industry and agreed that the hurdles that Obama’s government have been thrown up before them are ill advised.

“Bush said all the things you’d expect him to say” on oil and gas issues, said Jim Noe, senior vice president at Hercules Offshore and executive director of the pro-drilling Shallow Water Energy Security Coalition. But Clinton added, “You’d be surprised to know that I agree with all that,” according to Noe and others in the room…

Clinton said there are “ridiculous delays in permitting when our economy doesn’t need it,” according to Noe and others.

You’ve probably heard that joke concerning what’s actually happening when Bill Clinton’s lips are moving, but sometimes the truth does manage to negotiate his tongue. And his recent trip to Minnesota to campaign for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton might just be one of these instances — well, sort of.

While speaking at a fund-raising event for Dayton, Clinton played the tired old leftist game of trying to paint his opposition as radical, saying that the Republicans are placing ideology over evidence (as opposed, I guess, to placing ideology over the good of your country). Most interestingly, though, he also invoked the name of that terrible bogeyman, George W. Bush, saying, “A lot of their [the Republicans’] candidates today, they make him look like a liberal.”

Could it be? Could Bill Clinton be supporting a candidate because that candidate is not the union choice? Well, apparently Hell hath frozen over because your favorite lip-biting president and mine… OK, not our favorite, but you know… appeared at a fund raising event for Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln and said he supports her because she isn’t the chosen candidate of those nasty “outside” unions — as in Big Labor that comes from outside Arkansas.

Arkansas is not very union friendly, it should be remembered. After all it is a right to work state and one of the main reasons the unions are mad at Lincoln is that she was one of the few Democrats that have been soft on the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA). This is why Big Labor has been supporting her opponent, Lt. Gov. Bill Halter.

Democrats think that Lincoln has a much better chance against what ever Republican that might face her than Halter does because he is the Big Labor candidate. Plus she is an incumbent and the party machinery is built to push her candidacy.
