Portland atheist Mark Hecate is mad that someone made him look like a devil.
A pro-atheism billboard in Portland, Oregon was defaced causing the atheist group that paid for the sign upset that they had been “demonized.”

Pro-atheist billboard defaced in Portland, Oregon
The billboard featured Mr. Hecate next to the phrase, “This is what an atheist looks like.” The billboard campaign was meant to convey the idea that atheists are somehow just like you and me.
But some wag with a spraypaint can thought it would be funny to paint devil horns on ol’ Mark’s head making him into a devil.

Santa Monica Atheist’s Attack on Christmas

While most of the folks of Santa Monica, California enjoy their local Christmas tradition, there is a tiny, but activist minority attempting to take away that 60-year Christmas tradition from the city by engaging in precisely the same sort of exclusionary tactics and discrimination that they claim Christians use against them. Yes, it’s a heartwarming tale of hypocrisy from California’s zealous atheists just in time for Christmas.
In a perfect example of how not to influence people and make friends, haters of Christians in Santa Monica led by their high priest Damon Vix — a Hollywood prop maker that is not a full-time Santa Monica resident — launched a campaign to squelch the displays of Christmas nativity scenes and replace them with atheist messages.…

New Atheists Want to Remove Children from Your Home–or Worse!

Angry New Atheists have attacked and challenged me because of my accusation that they want to remove children from the influence of parents, teachers, or preachers who teach the doctrine of Hell and the exclusive plan of salvation through Christ. One atheist from Australia wrote, “Really? This is a very serious (and demonstrably false) accusation. Please provide some evidence for this claim.” My charge is not false, demonstrably or otherwise. Atheists hate religion and consider it child abuse; hence children should not be exposed to it. Frankly, it is far worse than simply removing children from Christian homes as the following proves.
Perry Bulwer is an atheist lawyer who writes: “The educational rights of children are also undermined when they are intellectually abused with biblical literalism, anti-science creationism or denied the right to attend university.” He charges that “many fundamentalist and orthodox beliefs are highly detrimental to children’s minds.” (Religion and Child Abuse News website.) Note that he is not referring to physical abuse, but intellectual abuse because children are taught Bible truth and Creationism! But it gets worse, much worse.
The American Atheists’ website clearly proved my contention when the founder, Al Stefanelli, Georgia State Director, wrote of fundamentalist Christians, “They don’t respond to lawsuits, letters, amicus briefs or other grass-roots campaigns and they must, must, must be eradicated.” Eradicated means “to wipe out, destroy, tear out by the roots.” He continues to libel us when he lumps us with fanatics who fly planes into buildings and “people being burned for witchcraft.” Al is so uninformed that he doesn’t know that no “witch” was ever burned in America! (Check out my book, Pilgrims, Puritans, and Patriots: Our Christian Heritage!)

New Atheists: No Sense of Humor or No Sense?

The battle between Christians and the New Atheists is very serious since they seek to remove children from homes if parents teach that there is a Hell and Jesus Christ is the exclusive way of salvation. That is super serious; however, the New Atheists are always good for a few laughs as a recent letter proves.
Joseph wrote seeking to answer my challenge for atheists to “Put up or Shut Up.” He did what most of the atheists do who respond to my book (The God Haters), my websites (cstnews.com and thegodhaters.com), or my columns. Atheists almost never get to the issues but attack me, i.e., my credentials, my motives, my character. Of course, that is much easier than proving their point. It doesn’t matter whether I am a farmer, salesman, or factory worker. Nor does it matter if I got my Ph.D. from a cereal box. How about some answers?
Joseph suggested that I am lazy because I don’t try to find out what scientists are saying when “they say that the universe could have come from nothing. Basically what they are saying is that empty space is not empty.” He is wrong: what they are saying is that everything came from nothing, so nothing created everything! I spent over three years researching and writing The God Haters that involved researching more than 35 atheists’ books, many I read in their entirety. (I wonder how many New Atheists will read my book.)

Atheists Respond to my Challenge to Put Up or Shut Up!

I challenged atheists in my book, The God Haters to put up or shut up and I have had some very interesting replies. There is no way I can verify that these people are qualified to answer my questions, but they seem to think that their answers are authoritative. Plus, their crudeness and anger match the New Atheists. Nevertheless, I challenged them and I think you deserve to read their responses to my challenge. Below is one atheist’s “answer.” More to follow in the weeks ahead.
He replied, “No one, absolutely no one, believes that nothing created everything.” Note how definite he was, but evidently he was lying or totally uninformed. Atheists often ridicule Christians who declare that God created everything out of nothing, and they do so with scorn and sarcasm. When I demand to know their answer as to how everything got here (after all, we are here!) they get as uncomfortable as a dog in hot ashes, try to put on a scholarly look, then they squirm and with less authority in their voice tell me “We came from nothing or nothing created everything.” That is shabby, shabby thinking. If you have nothing, it is obvious that nothing can be produced.
Famous scientist Quinton Smith concludes that “the most reasonable belief is that we came from nothing, by nothing, and for nothing,” and fellow scientist, Stephen Hawking declared, the universe likely “popped into existence without violating the known laws of Nature,” Sure, everything just “popped into existence.” That’s very scientific, isn’t it.

Atheists Lie And Do So On a Billboard!

Talk about making a mistake everyone can see! Atheists in California have done a disservice to their own crusade to spread atheism by launching a new billboard campaign that ascribes a false quote to Thomas Jefferson. That’s right, they’ve essentially become liars for atheism.
In Costa Mesa, California a group of atheists calling themselves Backyard Skeptics have unveiled a billboard to sell atheism to the general public that features a quote they claim came from Thomas Jefferson, the Third President of the United States.

“I do not find in Christianity one redeeming feature,” the billboard “quotes” the president as having said. “It is founded on fables and mythology,” this quote concludes.
That would be a stinging rebuke of Christianity, indeed… were it true. Unfortunately for this little atheist group it seems that their quote is a fake quote the group found on the Internet and assumed was real.

Author of “The God Haters” Challenges the New Atheists!

The New Atheists, led by Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Daniel Dennett and Sam Harris, have proved by their own books and websites to be angry, abrasive, arrogant atheists. They shout from their ivory towers their hatred toward any and all religions and demand that children be “protected” from pastors, teachers and even parents who teach an exclusive way of salvation and the teaching of an eternal hell. All children under such an influence must be removed from classrooms, Sunday school classes and even their homes!
That is not going to happen until pigs learn to fly and shrimp learn to whistle. In fact, I would not comply with such a law even if pigs learned to fly in flocks and did aerial stunts over the White House and pigs learned to whistle “Dixie” in harmony.
Their books are filled with malice, mishmash and mistakes and I challenge them to admit and correct their biblical, historical and scientific blunders. I am willing to overlook the malice and mishmash as normal for God Haters, as is their bluffing, bragging, bluster and bravado. All of that seems to be in their genes or in Dawkins’ mythical memes.

I’m Calling Out the New Atheist God Haters to Put Up or Shut Up!

The New Atheists or New Barbarians as I describe them in my new book, The God Haters, have had a good run of best selling books, televisions talk shows and generally very positive media coverage. Their goal is clear: legally prohibit any parent, pastor, or teacher from teaching that Hell is real and the exclusive way of personal salvation based on Christ’s death and resurrection. I would not obey such a state or federal law–not even if pigs learn to fly and shrimp learn to whistle!
I have no problem with atheists in general, many whom are kind, gracious, sincere gentleman–who happen to be wrong about the existence of God. I do have problems with New Atheists who are angry and asinine and arrogant who want to control what pastors, teachers, and parents teach children. The media should come to our defense in this instance since the same First Amendment that protects our rights also protects their right to publish newspapers and other forms of media. Will I receive any positive response to my book or this challenge as have all the New Atheist authors? We shall see.

Lessons In Apologetics #8: Atheism

If the Christian has no assurance that God will triumph from the way the world appears to be going, one would be better off hedging one’s bets by siding with the Devil or sitting the whole thing out all together. There are those that attempt to do just that.
Atheism is the worldview that believes that God does not exist. Those embracing this perspective tend to do so over both objective and existential reasons.
Those claiming to embrace Atheism for objective reasons often concentrate their attacks on the more scientific approaches to the existence of God such as the cosmological argument. The cosmological argument for the existence of God holds that all contingent things must have a cause and that this cause is at the minimum Aristotle’s Uncaused Cause and preferably the God of the Christian faith as expounded by Aquinas when he adapted these propositions for Christian usage. Atheists raise their hands and say hold on a moment to what they see as presumptuous conclusions.

‘Atheists for Islam’ Happy to Support Religion?

Sometimes a single picture is enough to put the left’s folly in crystal clear terms and we have one for you today.
The current crop of militant atheists have been parading about the country wailing about how the evil, evil Christians are oppressing them by having non-sectarian things like “In God We Trust” on our money or allowing a manger scene on city property. That’s some oppression, there, eh?
Well, last weekend a photo was snapped that shows exactly what militant atheists really mean behind their rhetoric. Oh, they aren’t against religion. They don’t likely think they are being oppressed, either. No their real goal is rather simple. They are enemies of Christianity exclusively.
Today’s militant atheists aren’t looking for “equality” or “fair treatment.” They only want one thing: the destruction of Christianity. The total elimination of it in public.
Why do I say that? Witness the photo below snapped at the March 6th “I Am A Muslim Too” rally held at Times Square, New York, organized by rap music mogul Russell Simmons.

This is a stark contradiction in terms, is it not? Atheists are spending every waking minute telling anyone that will listen that religion is the root of all evil — and by that they mean Christianity — yet here they are helping to support Islam at an “interfaith” rally?
How does that track? How does it make any sense at all?

Atheists Don’t Know the Difference in Chicken Soup and Chicken Poop!

Angry atheists are disingenuous, dishonest, and disgusting. While loudly proclaiming that there is no God, it seems God is all they talk about! Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, and Dennett (the Four Horsemen of Atheism) and Company don’t believe in the Tooth Fairy, Tinker Bell, Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus but they don’t crusade against them either. However, their books have sold so well, I would not be surprised if one of them published a book on why he doesn’t believe in the Easter Bunny. Furthermore, their liberal, loony, loopy fans will rush out to purchase their scribbling efforts. Angry, abrasive atheists have declared war against Christians, Christ, and the Church.
It seems that those who don’t believe in God are the loudest voices who constantly talk about God! Their motive is clear: to prohibit Christians from teaching children in home, church, and school that a sovereign God exists and has given us a Book that teaches an exclusive salvation plan based upon the death and resurrection of Christ. That is what their declaration of war is all about and I accept their challenge to war.

Lessons In Apologetics, Part 1: Introduction & Agnosticism

-By Frederick Meekins
For anyone pursuing a degree in Apologetics that was given a dollar for every time they were asked “What is that, learning how to say you are sorry” upon answering the question of what it is that they study so many times, many would have financed a considerable portion of their academic pursuits. Unfortunately, such ignorance as to what exactly this theological discipline entails symbolizes the neglect the defense of the faith has fallen into in the contemporary church and is one of the reasons that everywhere the believer and student of religion turns today they find Christianity losing considerable ground both within and without its boundaries to a wide variety of opponents and adversaries. To the serious student of this field of study, one of the best tools around which to build a fundamental understanding of the discipline’s ins and outs is “Christian Apologetics” by Norman Geisler, one of the field’s foremost living practitioners.
Basic to any academic discipline is the approach or methodology which scholars and researchers apply to the subject matter. The field of Apologetics is no different. Geisler lists the methodologies to knowledge in general and about God in particular as agnosticism, rationalism, fideism, experientialism, evidentialism, pragmatism, and combinationalism. In the course of his analysis, Geisler evaluates each in terms of their epistemology regarding religious matters and how these approaches stack up under the weight of being scrutinized by their own criteria.

Olympics Subtly Lure Tots Into Paganism’s Embrace

Over the past decade and a half or thereabouts, I have published occasional columns pointing out that there is more going on in terms of worldview at the Olympic games than good sportsmanship and keeping a stoic outlook no matter how disappointed one might be at the outcome of a particular event. These worldviews often come closest to public light in commemorations surrounding the games such as the opening or closing ceremonies.
For example, in an audio commentary I noted the blatant paganism at the 2006 games in Greece where the ancient gods were not so much depicted as curiosities of mankind’s religious history with the possibility of a few moral axioms derivable occasionally from these myths when approached as literature. Rather, adoration of these entities was approached as a viable system of belief around which humanity could draw ongoing sustain inspiration moving the world towards cultural unification.
For the most part, such ideological manipulation was aimed largely at a generalized audience irrespective of age. Now it seems Olympic organizers may have more carefully targeted their indoctrination efforts towards children.

Frank Schaeffer Slides into Political and Religious Apostasy!

Francis Schaeffer is a pathetic figure. Son of famous, dedicated Christian leader Francis Schaeffer, he has declared his distaste for his father’s activities in the service of Christ. Frank has apostatized from his and his Father’s theology and politics as revealed in a recent television interview to promote his new book while at the same time bashing Christian authors for making gobs of money with their books! In that interview he declared that “Nobody is damned or going to Hell,” Christians are haters for being critical of abortion and gay rights; and “salvation is a journey.”
He added, “Atheism may be absolutely correct, or Buddhism may be. I could be completely wrong about theism.” Moreover, Dawkins, Hitchins, and Harris “could be right”! He declares that “Right Wing Christians” are “far more dangerous than the Dawkins [atheist] group.” Question: Why hasn’t Frank’s church brought him up on charges of heresy? Is his pastor as big a phony as he is?

I would be delighted if my critics would refute my article “DNA in Your Body Could Reach to the Sun and Back—70 Times! Please help me see the light. I will be waiting, but I don’t expect any answers, only vulgar and incoherent blathering.
An Australian critic “responded” to my DNA article by sending me a link to an atheist website replying, “Properly (sic) refutation required? Well allow me to provide you with this information. Consider yourself refuted.” I responded: “That was a rebuttal? You’ve got to be kidding. I assume you are a smart mouth (or is it dirty mouth) 12-year-old kid. I do not “consider [myself] refuted.”
Atheists/evolutionists are pathetic. They allegedly believe in being open, balanced, fair, and logical but are the most illogical people living. I will consider myself refuted if anyone can inform me how the DNA got the information that determines whether a person will be short, tall, eye color, and whether he will have five fingers on each hand. Alternatively, I will be satisfied to know how the Universe got here without God. You know, simple things like that.

DNA in Your Body Would Reach to the Sun and Back–70 Times!

Dr. James A. Shapiro, bacterial geneticist at the University of Chicago, and one of the leading researchers in his field said, “A cell under stress will splice its own DNA into over 100,000 pieces. Then a program senses hundreds of variables in its environment and then re-arranges those pieces to produce a new, better, evolved cell.” Please read that again. Absolutely astounding! Moreover, all that happened by accident; however, only a closed-minded fool or dedicated follower of the religion of evolution believes such balderdash.
All scientists admit that DNA is an informational code. It would have to be in order to accomplish what it does. However, creationists insist on knowing where the information came from. How does the DNA know to do the above? Professor Richard Dawkins did a television interview where he was asked about how information originated and he looked to his upper right then to his upper left, licked his lips, then looked at the camera, then to the interviewer and by this time even I was feeling sorry for his discomfort. Here was the number one atheist in the world without an answer for eleven loooong seconds. Finally, he told them to turn off the camera then after an unknown period of time, he came up with an irrelevant answer to give the impression to the stupid that he had given an answer to the question. If that had happened to me, I would be ashamed to show my face in public again. I sure would not go back on television. All he had to say was that God had placed all necessary information in our DNA. So pathetic.
