The Colonel's Gift from the Battalion

This shadow box includes a nice photo of the Colonel, an embossed brass C.S. seal, an original confederate $20 bill, a quote from Stonewall Jackson, one of the Colonel's ever present cigars, and a real Spiller and Burr pistol all mounted on a backboard with an Independent Guard flag in the style of a C.S. Hardee flag design.
The quote and dedication is as follows:
Colonel Warner Todd Huston
Commanding Officer 1997-2008
Presented by the members of the Independent Guard Battalion in heartfelt appreciation for the Dedication, Professionalism, and Camaraderie displayed and instilled by Col. Huston.
"Arms is a profession that, if its principles are adhered to for success, requires an officer do what he fear may be wrong, and yet, according to military experience, must be done, if success is to be attained. -- Thomas Stonewall Jackson
